I was still in high school when I got it,traded in my N64 along with some games just to pick up a PS1 and reserve FFVII,I turned down the option of the cloud strife on the hardy daytona bike statue for $65 extra with reserve back then,boy do I regret that

No, I don't believe in trying to prove a point with KOTR considering how ridiculously long and overkill it is.

That's a video of beating Emerald Weapon in under 3 minutes with Barret. Completely equipped with double-slotted Mastered Counter and Mime.

Basically use W-Item on what ever 2 other characters you have, use Hero Drinks x2 per character in two turns (eg. Cloud>W-Item: Hero Drinkx2 Cid>W-Item: Hero Drinkx2 >> Cloud>W-Item: Hero Drinkx2 Cid>W-Item: Hero Drinkx2)

Once you do that have Barret use Angermax. Use your support characters to use Mega Elixers and a Hero Drink on Barret each round. And Barret use Mime with Angermax. If you get hit than you counter with the mimed Anger Max and you can win super easy.

I had an incredibly epic setup for that game, lol. I'm a HUGE timmy sometimes.

I had about 14 or 15 Counter-Attack materia. I normally had a good 5-6 of them on Cloud at a time. :)

Also the biggest helper for me when I beat Emerald was having Quad-Ultima to take out the Eyes really fast. No-summon Emerald kills really aren't that hard if you're prepared and know how to mitigate Aire Tam Storm (already been covered in this thread).

Anyone who beat Omega Weapon with hero drinks didn't really beat him.

Nah, he debuted in FFV at the Interdimensional Rift/N-Zone, as well as getting added to one of the FFI Dawn of Souls extra dungeons(although V was his first appearance), I think Tyrath was just confused.
 
No, I wasn't confused. I just wasn't talking about FFVII. Someone mentioned how cheap KOTR was, then they mentioned Hero drinks (FF8 ) were cheaper so I just said something about FF8.
