I have off and on but something always happened to my file and I could never finish it. Replaying the beginning over and over got boring. I still long to one day finish that game. But from what I've played, I still enjoy the music, and story better in VII.
 
I remember Brushing through FF6 when I was a little kid and paying attention whenever I saw chocobos, So FF6 as a result never became my favorite, for a while I was sucked into the FF7 crazy fanboy crap because it was the first FF I actually understood. I couldn't stand 8 when it came out but Recently I replayed and have renamed it my alltime favorite, 9 I Loved when it came out but realized the characters looked strange to me, even though in my opinion FF9 had the best battle system, FF10 and 10-2 were passovers for me, I Beat them within a week of getting each.

I started playing FFs when I was like 4 years old, I remember playing mystic Quest and not reading any of the text but fighting everything I could find, the same goes for FF6 which I don't think I Got past the railcar ride during the escape from the Empire thingy. FF7 was my first FF to fully immerse me in RPG so being 7 like 8 years old or younger it took me close to a year to beat it (Keep in mind this is around the time when Ocarina of time was stumping me as well)(I Hated having the mind of a 4 year old at 8 years of age) I gradually got better at playing FFs, I remember seeing FF9 in the video store one day, never even hearing about it coming out, and I spent half a year getting through it. FF10 was completly a passover for me because by the time I got it in 7th grade I learned how to observe my surroundings, I've gone back and replayed FF6-8 beacause I realized I couldn't remember the storylines cause I didn't read them. Couldn't stand 9 when I tried to replay it XD.


Edit: Oh and on the subject of pre FF6 titles, all i have played was mystic quest and FF2 I have never touched the other ones.
 
If I could have two votes, they would be for VIII and XI. Since I have one vote, it was XI.

I like the realism you feel partying with people, and not just controlling everything yourself. It allows you to see a ton of different play styles, instead of just yours.

And you don't have to worry about playing as characters you dont like (Cait Sith, anyone from FFIX), because the main character, your character, is basically you.

How the hell has VIII taken the lead, and it's a damn shame IV has gotten such few votes, in fact, how does III have a higher score? Are people confusing III and thinking of VI? That's the only explanation for it, other than people who played it import/emulator and liking it more than any of the others, can't see how it's gotten those votes.

IV, VI, VII, I, V then the rest.

II and III I played crappy translated emulated versions so can't really feel safe judging them. VIII I just couldn't get into, I hated the drawing aspect. IX I watched my roomate play through it but never felt the need to play it. X never grabbed my attention fully. It looked great but seemed way too linear, I keep telling myself to go back and finish it but it isn't anything too pressing.
 
I don't get why people hate FF8 So much ;_; Squall is cooler then cloud to me, sure the GF System was ghey but I got over that, I thought the story was a little worse then FF7 but it was still up there and good >.>.

Ouch, I'd retaliate but...last few years haven't been so hot for them. At least I'm a true fan though, I stick by em even when they suck, all Packer fans do. Unlike most "fans" for other teams.

Cmon people...more VII votes! GO!
 
VI! Great music, characters, and storyline. Terra's theme has to be my favorite along with Dancing Madly.
 
I have a hard time deciding between IV and VI. Love em both. I think I give IV the edge, cause IMO had the best characters. I mean seriously who can say Kain and Cecil aren't badass? :D

Also sooo glad to see VII isnt winning the poll :D
 
XI is just the most fun. I mean every FF involves mindlessly killing mob after mob, might as well do it with some friends. I'm suprised V hasn't gotten any votes though. That was a fun game to play and Chaos is one of the best FF bosses.
