I promised myself I would stop posting here b/c it is starting to get retarded and this will be my last post no matter what else gets posted here.

I'm sure some had very good reasons for not coming but quite a few gave no reason other than the 2 letter statement "No".

Would you have been happier with just a two letter "No"? I'm sure many of the whm's atleast told you why they couldn't come. Be the reason better or worse - they still told you why they couldn't.

The whole point in the beginning was that I don't see why some people have to make it such an ordeal to get a little common respect and courtesy when the request is so simple.

Sure, some may have been in Jeuno doing nothing - and as I have said, if that were the case for myself, I would have helped you. I'm going to say this calm even though it really irritates me and irks me. How is it selfish of me, to want something in game. How is it selfish for others to be busy and not drop god-knows-what to be someone's bitch for the next half hour or more. My god - YOu wanted skill ups so you went to Boyahda. That is your risk. If your whm dies, sad to say, it isn't any of our fault. There aren't elemental indicators on our screen for nothing.

And Sandria's comment really struck a nerve because it is so fucking true it is ridiculous. How in the hell do you think all the whm's on all the servers feel eating R1's when we are stupid enough to forget RRII in party - yet everyone else gets RIII. It got so bad for myself dying and eating the R1's that I've got a 'lil echo in my buff macro: "Cast Reraise II you idiot" Eating a RRII isn't as bad as the RI, but it sure isn't a RIII either. A whm should have RRII up, if they don't, take the R1 unless you ask a whm that is willing to help out - whether or not they are 5 zones away or in the same zone. It just sounds like, heaven forbid, everyone was busy at the time you asked Paddington.

If you are going to be incredibly selfish yourself and require whm to use active job trait "Bitch V" I don't think I need you on my friendlist, so don't bother removing me from your blacklist or whatever it is you've got me on. (That was kinda an indicator that this flame really was targetted at me) Until you see just how selfish your request was, I don't see that you will agree with a word I just wrote. Only example I can give, is asking you to come to Boyahda Tree from Bibiki Bay to D2 me. You and I both know, that the liklihood of that is slim to none - don't kid me.

That's a pretty nice idea. Since Protect/Shell are on 30-minute timers and Reraise is a 1-hour timer, I've gotten in the habit of casting Reraise as soon after the buffs as I can. Adding a "Reraise, idiot!" echo to some of my regular macros would be helpful.

Okay-- I'm starting to get really pissed reading this. So much I often wonder if this thread is meant to be a joke. The sad thing is I know that it is not. I understand the return the favor rage. Been there, done that. I can count on one hand the amount of times I have had someone hop more than one zone to give me a raise. Usually the person was either heading that way or extremely bored. I can count on both fingers and toes (and still lose count) of the times that I have done so for someone else. There are many who can vouch for this. I'd like to consider myself a nice person. In fact, I'm getting tired of being a nice person. Getting tired of eating a raise 1 or 2 and listening to people dare complain when they receive anything less than a raise 3. This might sound cold, but it's a double sided knife.. people need to start paying white mages their worth.

Countless shouts of people asking for help killing (insert mob name) for (insert reward amount). Noone considers that person who accepts said reward to be selfish, nor do they consider the mercs who offer their services as being selfish either. In fact most are very happy to pay said amount! That's been an accepted part of the game. Why the hell do white mages have this "responcibility" to raise every dead body for FREE?! Why must I drop 250 mp on any random body? Why am I a bad person if I feel as though I deserve conpensation for not only the time it takes to raise that person but the months it took me to be able to cast raise III on them?... Why do I cast sneak and invisible on every single party member that asks for it just because I have the spell.. even though had I not been there to do it they would have been more than happy to shell out gil to an alchemist who 'spent their time' to craft oils and powders?! You want to know why white mages are so much "selfish" at later levels? We're tired of being your personal *bleeps* for the countless numbers of levels prior.

Yah, I know those who know me are muttering "hypocrite"... cus they know that the minute I get back in game and they need a raise or any other spell cast that I will most likely be the one to give it to them.. I'd like to think that they would in turn offer their blade in my time of need. In the end I never forget those who have helped me. But, I will be damned if I allow people to think for a second that I raised them because I was doing my "job"... no, I was doing them a favor and trying to be nice.

It's post like this that lead to sitting around in jeuno, while your lazy ass begs for a tele with no luck.

I think that job triat "Bitch" is linked to "DoorMat", kind of like how fast cast stacks for rdms.

I know I personally love it when kiss ass people sit around and post crap like "Oh I am a level ### WHM and I love to raise people, send me a tell in game blah blah blah" Or even better when people say shit like "If you don't like helping people don't be a whm"

Since when was it that it's only the duty of a whm to help people in need? There's a huge differance between "help" and expecting people to clean up after your mess.

If you catch me at the right time and I choose to help someone then it's your lucky day, but just because I am able to do something (like raise or tele) doesn't give people the right to expect any whm to do anything for them.

Also news flash, whm's pay for their gear and spells same as every other job in the game, so if they want to be paid for their time ain't nothing wrong with that.

Maybe some choose to play the role of "bitch" and be your very own personal slave, that's their right to choose to do so. However some of us actually do have alot of things going on, and even when we run past a dead body we don't have time to stop. I know I personally like playing whm because it is one of the harder jobs to actually be good at in the game.

As for rude pushy people who demand or expect a raise, I'd rather come sit on your dead body or do a dance on top of you, then raise you. Maybe if you asked nicely or treated whms better in genreal you'd find more of them will to drop what they are doing to come and "Help" (key word ppl HELP) out. Then again like other's have said maybe just maybe they are actually busy taking care of their own stuff and are unable.
