Whm DD Gear?

Ah...
Morgenstern (main), Seawolf Cudgel (Offhand)
Walahra Turban (TP) / Voyager Sallet (WS)
Cleric's Briault (TP, 'cause Nashira Body won't damn drop) / Black Cotehardie (WS)
Blessed Mitts (TP) / Healer's Mitts +1 (WS)
Blessed Slacks
Swift Belt (TP) / Life Belt (WS - can't afford Potent, meh)
Blessed Pumps (TP) / Savage Gaiters (WS)
Brutal Earring, Suppanomimi (TP) / Feyuh's Earring (WS)
Rajas Ring, Jaeger Ring
Intensifying Cape (TP) / Royal Knight's Mantle (WS)
Civet Sachet

I'm surprised nobody is using Bellicose Mantle for TP gain.

Or Mercenary Trousers for WS... no mnd like Blessed, but even if the acc+6 landed one single extra hit during Hexa then it'd outweigh the dmg bonus from Blessed's mnd boost.

One of these days I'll hit 75, might be sending PMs to a few of you to set up some times to Hexacannon.

Main: Purgatory mace
Shield: Genbu's
Ammo: Hedgehog bomb (though Holy ampulla would be better for mnd?)
Head: W.Turban/Healer's Cap+1
Body: Don't have Reverend so.. Nashira Manteel/Blessed
Hands: Blessed/Healer's, healer's+1 sometime
Legs: Blessed trousers
Feet: Blessed/Cleric's/Gaiters depending
Back: lolrainbowcape
Neck: Chiv. Chain
Waist: Swiftbelt/Lifebelt
Ear1: Diabolos' Earring
Ear2: Spike atm/etc (Usually just keep Magnetic on actually, still end up using MP)
Ring1: Woodsmans
Ring2: Woodsmans/Tamas maybe

Granted this is what I have, I don't think I have macros set up to actually use all of this. I think my club's one point under cap now though.

Check Mrmadwolf's gear.

i like to use the Sea wolf cudgel sea robber cudgel Rev mail and switch with cleric depending on mp. With /NIN i can solo evens to toughs Walahra Turban blessed pumps. thats the main thing i make sure i have while soloing

lol whm lucky there ws are based off mnd instead of str

Actually Hexa is 30%_STR 30%_MND iirc.

ya but for some reason whm always seem more accrate. wolf there can do over 1k dmg on mob in mage gear, I cant even get 500-600 dmg most time with savage blade or vorp blade in full dd gear.

ps but can still kill him  <3 wolf

Well considering Hexa is the same as Rampage, only with an additional hit... 1k isn't too tough for the WS to to hit. As whm/nin you get 7 swings per Hexa Strike, each having a chance to crit. Vorpal, even as /nin, will cap at 6. Not to mention most swords rdm can use don't stack up to some of the endgame clubs as far as base dmg goes, which can make a noticable difference in WS output.

Throw in a Brutal Earring and you're looking at up to 8 hits on Hexa, each with a crit chance. Only 2 WS's in the game can do that, the other being Rampage (Asuran is 8 hits as well, but TP modifies accuracy and not crit rate).

If whm had a better rating in club, and access to more atk gear, whm cannons would be almost as popular as war cannons. Unfortunately since we lack about 80-100atk in comparison to war gear, we have to rely on fighting blunt-weak mobs to make up the difference.

Planned on getting these, however right now I'm only a Superior Private. And getting Assaults I can actually do has been slightly more than difficult. (Wind up only being able to do Golden Salvage 90% of the time.)

Personally, I'm usually too lazy to swap gear for TP and WS, so I just wear the same gear all the time. :P But here's my usual setup:

Main hand: Purgatory Mace/Morgenstern/Sea Robber Cudgel (whatever I feel like using at the time, honestly)
Offhand: Genbu's Shield if soloing, Astral Aspis if I'm duoing with someone who has hate all the time or something)
Ranged: Fortune Egg (or Mamoolbane if I'm in a ToAU stronghold? lol)
Head: Walahra Turban unless I really need the accuracy from Optical Hat
Neck: Chivalrous Chain
Earrings: Magnetic Earring and Geist Earring (used to be 2 Geist til I got Magnetic... will swap out the second Geist when I get the coins for my Brutal)
Body: Noble's Tunic (don't even have Rev. Mail ; ;)
Hands: Healer's Mitts +1 (Blessed are awesome, but I just love that STR+7)
Rings: Rajas/Ruby Ring
Back: Royal Army Mantle
Waist: Potent Belt
Legs: Blessed Trousers
Feet: Sometimes Rostrum Pumps, other times Blessed... depends on which piece I grabbed out of my safe/locker XD

Learn Utsusemi Ichi and Ni (if you haven't already) buy 12 toolbags of Shihei and WHM tank the shit out of Colibris.

Once you can cancel shadows effectively (trust me you'll learn how to do it, it becomes a force of habit once you've killed that many colibris) move onto harder stuff (standard colibris, date erucas, trolls in bhaflau near the zhayolm zone in)

Then once you can tank the shit out of them (even more of a learning curve) you're good to solo! Then you can focus on your gear :p

Am I the only person who loves Mountain Gaiters for soloing? yeah they are level 38, but i think the stats are awesome: STR+1 INT+2 Evasion+2 Spell interruption rate down 5%.

for /nin
Weapon : sea robber/wolf cudgels
Head : Walahra Turban/ Ohat for WSs when im not lazy
Neck: Chivalrous Chain
Earrings: Suppa + Merman's Earring (dodge if i really need evasion)
Body: Noble's Tunic most of the time Rev. Mail on hearder stuff
Hands: Blessed
Rings: Ruby Ring X2
Back: White Cape +1 (a little ghetto but helps SS and hexas)
Waist: Potent Belt
Legs: Blessed Trousers

I personally think AF Feet (or moreso, AF+1 feet) Are entirely better than Mountain Gaiters. Much more -interrupt rate and the agi totals more evasion plus more parry rate (if you believe in that kindof thing)

The first time I read that I thought it said Herald's Gaiters.
