Because apparently one of the moderators decided that i was not allowed to advertise a social group in the Linkshell recruiting section i guess this is as good a place as any to seek new members.

What it is.

Under the bridge is a membership to a social group that will basically be a second flameboard that you can only see if you ask to see it.

What you can expect from me.
I will not edit or delete any post unless there is a picture that is overtly offensive (mildly offensive encouraged) or a threat.

What is allowed.
Flaming
Flamebaiting (please feel free to challenge your prey)
Any topic no matter how controversial

SG is open to anyone who wants to join all you have to do is apply (not sure if i have to approve it or not) If you dont like the content in the group... Leave the group and be quiet.

Considering it's *not* a Linkshell, it didn't and still doesn't belong in Linkshell Recruiting.

Even here it's not really keeping with the flameboard rules per sé as you're not really flaming anyone (maybe me, seeing from your first line there), but rather than delete this one, I'll leave it for review.


I'd love to remind anyone that Social Groups aren't exempt from QCDN's ruleset and that administrators and moderators (those guys in green, not us Black Bold folks) can read everything written inside them. Don't think it gives anyone carte blanche to say whatever he/she wants, even though it's an ongoing struggle to get that through to some people.

Yea i guess then i was flaming you and guess that i should petition that social groups be added linkshell recruiting as an allowable place to recruitment.

Also back when i made a flame about shit getting deleted all the time i was told just wait for 3.8 and then you can have a private flameboard where you can set all the rules as you see fit. I posted the rules as i see fit and as it will be a private area (even tho moderators can see it). All posts should be left alone as anyone who is a member agreed to see the content in its entirety.

Also TG its not like i was trying to hide it from moderators in fact you were one of the people that i invited to it. My only expectation is that you follow the rules like a normal member.

I was just reminding you and anyone that joins (just as I remind anyone who joins my social group, even) that just because regular users cannot see what's going on until they join, they still need to watch what they say.

In fairness, I think the invites to us were meant as a show of goodwill and that everything within is on the "up and up", at least from Deja's POV.

Still, the whole thing seems out of line, but I'll leave it for the Powers-That-Be to decide lol.

Should be noted for people too that some rules are alleviated through the creation of social groups (random spamming and bear attacks) others are still in tact (flamebaiting, harassment and plans to troll other members/the whole forum).

Pretty sure your social group is a violation of the rules based on what Miros specifically outlined above. Before flaming a bunch of people or allowing other users to do it in your group, I'd wait to talk to one of the reds or Sneaky to ensure you aren't leading a bunch of people into an infraction.

Since you have basically said that this social group is all about flaming and flamebaiting, it's going to be axed. If you want to bring up any questions about it in the S&F board, feel free. But other then that, don't expect us to encourage making a place where you can go and start randomly flaming people. It wasn't allowed back during hidden forums, and it's not gonna be allowed now in social groups. I'll leave this open in case you have any choice words for me.

Wow, really? Thats pretty weak, and mainly for the reason that the flameboard is an open board that everyone has access to, no need to join it. Therefor people can bitch about the content on it. But if someone wants to make an un modded social group why the fuck does it matter? If people dont want to see the content on the board then they shouldn't join. I like how you didn't even give the board a chance before axing it though, considering there are no rules stating you couldn't make a flaming social board and seeing as how there was only 2 posts on the board I doubt there was any unacceptable content.

Raider, I hate to say it (well not really). But I hate the thought of people bitching about people in a hidden little room. If they have something to say, say it here. Flamebaiting etc is not allowed anywhere else.

The SG wasn't public. So, basically, you could sit in your private forum and shit talk the rest of the users of the site without having a pair to say it to the their faces. IMO, that is a problem, and not one that staff hasn't dealt with before.

Furthermore, it was posted that flaming/flamebaiting in social groups is a no-no before that SG was created - please see Kotsu's most recent thread in C&P. I don't see how you couldn't have seen this coming.

I hate to come off as the bad guy, but this has been the consensus between all the mods currently that flamebaiting/harassing people in the social groups (and previous to social groups the hidden forums) is not going to fly. I have a post in C&P about the social groups too as a note:

The board didn't get a chance because the description was giving off some false information. All social groups will be modded to an extent. Just like hidden forums, the admins and mods will be able to view it. This isn't anything new in regards to rules. We've had some hidden forums deleted purely for the fact that they were using it as a place to flamebait/harass/stalk people's posts. Thing is, we don't want it to become like that. And since there were only two posts on the social group, it's not like anything important was deleted.

Flame here, that's what the FB is for.

There's a difference between a flame and a troll/spam/jackass. But if that's your thing, the Internet is riddled with sites that are all about being the biggest douche you can be. Check some of those out and you might like what you see. That type of crap hasn't been welcome here for a long time and it's all in the rules. And you're given a place to flame here, so I don't see the problem.

If you're concerns in life revolve around where you can go to be the biggest moron possible, then you've got larger issues that you don't even know about. Write that down.

I agree, i think it would be worse to be flaming or talking shit about people in a hidden forum, dont thing the SG should be used as a loophole to create improper or bad flames.
