Not that I am, I love FFXI, when I find the time to play, but are any of you guys leaving FFXI when EQ2 or WoW comes out?

I'm just bored and wondering.

Well, SE is probably going to lose a lot of customers when these games come out. As for me, I'm not really into MMORPG's, so I'm staying with FFXI.

Like pretty much any other MMOs I will buy them and try them, even though I have like zero time to play. EQ2 will be the suck, basically it will be FFXI just with EQ characters.

WoW on the other hand sure looks promising, a guy I work with is in beta, and while there are any number of problems, their quest system seems to be nicely developed and actually rewarding when considering reward vs time, or reward vs risk.

Who knows, they still have to release either and short of trying it out there is no way to tell how good or bad they will really be.
 
Something I don't like about WoW is that most of the really good items are *Unique* - ala Diablo 2 - and are considered Rare/EX in FFXI terms...

We will have to see though...
 
I won't leave for either Game, but Horizons: Empires of Istaria has been taking a healthy Chunk out of FF lately .. oh and being 300 Miles from my Computer has also.
 
I dunno, WoW looks pretty cool. I might buy that one since I know Blizzard has a rep for making kickass games and since I am pretty familiar with the Warcraft universe. I'm still waiting on a true sequal to Starcraft though :D I probably wont leave FF11, as I'm still having a lot of fun in it.

Oh, and whenever it comes out it would be nice to get on the same world, not sure how its gonna be set up though hehe.

Anyways I dont have too much experience in MMO's outside of FF11, so take my view for what its worth, but EQ2 looks pretty good, but I probably wont be getting it. I like the whole fantasy feel to it, but its just not what I'm looking for.

I'm pretty sure I'll ditch FFXI for EQ2. I know a few people in Quetz that are switching over as well, so we're gonna try to stick together :D
The game is just getting kinda boring for me, but I'm not sure what will happen IF I buy CoP. I'll probably test out EQ2, and if I dont like it I'll probably come running back to FFXI lol...

WoW will get it for the first month subscrip then im gonna have to make a choice cuz us starving college kids cant afford 2 MMO's a month :(

thats easy...you pick FFXI...or else :evil: :roll:

IMHO, FF is more clean in the graphics department than WoW...
 
WoW here, it removes the most annoying things in FFXI that annoy me the most and anything that needs a group only takes five people outside of PvP action.
 
I'm not a fan of MMO's. FFXI is the first (and so far only) MMO I've been able to get into. So I'm highly doubting I'll be going anywhere else. Besides WoW looks cool, but seeing the forums and the people who are posting there makes me want to stay away *Shiver*
 
I'm not waiting for either. This game is crap anymore. Not even going to bother with the expansion.
