Why ask why?

I don't know how many times I got into arguments with people who wouldn't take no for an answer when I was leveling RDM. It's why I ignore every tell I get from a stranger when I'm on that job these days, unless I have a search comment up and I'm seeking something, like a mission or merits.

I belive there are many cases when getting harrassed is a matter of course. There are cases when even a warrior gets asked to party even when not seeking. Some jobs are even worse. I used to go around as ANON when it finally got to the point when I decided it was hurting me more than it benefited me. There will always be people who will not accept "no" for an answer, no matter the question. If it goes too far, then I will add them to my blacklist and I will continue with whatever I'm doing. In the words of Bill Murry, "There are thousands of people waiting in line in this town to abuse me, so I don't need to take it from you." Too much fun to be had to worry too much about the many children who seem to thrive on being annoying.

That's simly just irratating, there is no reason for that whatsoever, if you say no, no means no, whats the point of asking, If someone says no, the simple response (for me) is thanks, good luck^^ ..being the nice PLD I am.

lol I remember I was as thf46, looking at some stuff at AH. I was not looking for a party.

PTleader: Hello!
Me: Hello^^
PTleader: Party?
Me: I'm sorry. I'm not up for it now.
PTleader: Why?
Me: I'm sorry. I don't have gear right now, I need to buy new equipment, I'd have to buy bolts, shihei, and new weapons, I can't go gimped. <.< So, no thanks. (I had 0 shihei, 0 bolts and I needed new equipment)
PTleader: Well then, buy them.
Me: <.< I don't have money.
PTleader: Well, that's a problem!
Me: Yeah. Sorry. Theres another thf lfp, name is <insert name here>
PTleader: he's not answering
Me: Oh.
Some minutes later
PTleader: Please, come with us, we're 6 with you.
Me: I'm sorry I can't.
PTleader: Just buy that stuff and let's go
Me: I said I don't have enough money >_> and I am not interesed in lvling thf right now
PTleader: god
Me: <.< God

Good he didnt' ask "Why aren't you interested in lvling thf?" <.<

Welcome to the QCDN Flameboard!

Anyway, those who ask 'why' tend to take rejection personal. Their view of the world is that it rotates around them, and they can not possibly imagine why anyone would not want to party with them, regardless of what other plans the player they asked to party had.

As Sculli said, welcome.
I also totally agree with him.

"Why" is a question that can be answered with one word.
"Because."
