Avilas.. Idk really know.. I random'd it and it came up some weird ass name.. Avilasaria.. or something, idr.. But anyhow.. as you see, i took off a few letters =P (saliva backwards, wtf)
 
My original name in game was Dessine, a name I had used when I played on RP sites online. After I had to switch consoles, I decided to start over since Dess had only got to 25. I thought of the name Auberjeen, and used it. Very shortly I kept getting /tells of eggplant, and other things, and I realized that Auberjeen was Aubergine, french for eggplant :wacko: so now that's what I'm known by, hehe.

Mai Ikari... game character was already named Ikari (Eva fanboy to the core), and I got tired of people calling me Ika, or Ikky, or whatever... So I chose a name to stick in front, starting with M like all the female characters I make, and Mai was the first thing to come to mind.

Kinda long story to get the full reason *why* I chose the name. But here's the short version.

Originally I went by Fezzik for an online moniker, something that my buddies in college tacked onto me. When I had to change ISPs finally, the name was taken. ;.; So I needed to change it, and just decided to pick something truly obscure out of Norse Mythology, and went with Raesvelg. Wound liking the way it felt to type, for some reason, so I wound up using it on just about everything that required a screen name. Except Ebay, some brit fucker stole it... >.>;

As for who/what Raesvelg is, the character is obscure enough that I've seen at least 2 variations depending on which precise version of Norse mythology you're dealing with. Either a.) an eagle that perches in the world tree and is generally rather unpleasant, or b.) a storm giant, precise characteristics I've forgotten. Also see Hraesvelg, Hraesvelgr (a weapon in Soulcalibur III, oddly enough), and numerous other spelling variations.
 
Ugh, I've also had way too many characters.

Solitia: The ending theme to Chrono Crusade (anime) is "Sayonara Solitaire" and the Japanization of Solitaire is "Solitia" so.... I thought it sounded cool, and I wanted a "serious" name for a Taru girl.

Taelinor: My first character ever.... my roomie's char was a redhead girl Elvaan (he's a guy) so I was like, "Haha I'm a chick, I'll make a guy redhead Elvaan to be her twin brother!" (Thinking there would be roleplay in this game. Damn you Brady.) I liked "Tae" and I just slapped "linor" on it.

Renalae: My Mithra 71 WHM on Unicorn. "Rena" from .hack//legend of the Twilight with the "lae" from my AIM name tacked on. Kinda dumb now that I think about it.

Phio: My Hume 67 RDM on Unicorn... wanted "Fio" (cute redhead girl from Miyazaki's "Porco Rosso") but it was taken, so tried "Phio" and everyone thought I was a guy. Taken by a JP mule on this server I think.

Briddy: My 63 WAR here, gogo random name generator.

Alberic: My sessy Elvaan mule both here and on Unicorn, and the most fun character to roleplay EVAR... darn you whomever has AlbericH.... XD
 
Well, I liked the name Aerith from FFVII but Im a guy, so ever since I started online games, I tacked in an "L" in front of the A to make it sound like a guys name. Alerith.
 
People think when you keep to yourself you're... shady. At least that's what my friends say, my nickname is Shadykutch to my inner circle of friends but I don't like using my last name online so I took it down to Shady. Has nothing to do with Eminem
 
the one i wanted was already taken, yet to this day, i have never seen the person that is using it :/

anywho...i wanted just "orion". however, it obviously didnt let me use it. so i had to add something in. at the time, i didnt think of adding a letter in. i dont know why, but i didnt. so, i had to add somethign before or after that gave it a strong sound to comply with the story of orion the hunter from mythology. a couple of options i thought of was "orionhunter" "orion the hunter", etc. but they didnt sound right. so, i started thinking of what to put before the name. at the time, the only thing i came up with was master orion. recently i thought of what i could have made it...i should have made it lordorion. seems to have a better ring to it. then i also thought i should have come up with the name i use on FPS games -> "melonhead"
since i was in my early teens, i have become infatuated with the orion constellation. hence the orion in my name
people always used to ask me "you like that game too?" they seem to think i like the game "masters or orion"
 
When I started FFXI I spent untold time pouring at my Mythology dictionary and I found Kek & Keket. They are of the eight creation gods & goddesses of Egypt. Kek & Keket are associated with the night, darkness. Since Keket has stuck with me on just about everything. Its pretty commonly taken, So i just add a k, "Kkeket" And Kek the Taru is a friend of mine, I talked him into naming his Taru Kek. = )

As for mules:

Kentou - japanese for winter. My old aol screen name was WinterBlade. I like winter, its my favorite season. = P
Mooma - its actually my mother's character. When she isn't playing it, I use it as a mule
Elyce - my rl name. I simply didn't want anyone else to get it, lol.. I saw an Elyse in Jeuno once, so I quickly got my own name before someone else did.
 
Reauland: a respelling of "Roland," my all-time favorite fictional character.

Funny part is, I had no foreknowledge that San d'Orian names were all basically French, so imagine my surprise upon finding myself as an "adopted" Hume in a culture of 7-foot tall, better-looking, Medieval Klingons with names pretty much the same as mine.
 
Knew I wanted to be a mage. Pictured a mage radiating energy and converting it to heat, light, devestation, etc. After creating the character, thought about the car conotation and said "Well that works too....I'll try to keep things cool" :P
