Wow i made this thread near midnight Central Time last night and it went to page 10! wow i haven't read all of these but this is pretty cool stuff thanks
Ok now for my name
It is Arabic and i mispelled it when i was making my char originally Khidur which means the name green(like of purity and vitality) or intelligence, its sorta hard to translate some words from Arabic to english.
Oh and right about here i start to go indepth about his history if you ABSOLUTELY HATE RELIGION OR SPECIFICALLY ISLAM DON'T READ PAST HERE!!!
Khidur is a real person that existed a long time ago he is a high angel in my religion. He and I relate very closely I believe i made his name so that I would never forget the blessings that I have had in my life and remember my Lord.
In the Qu'ran, Khidur is the guide of Moses back to Egypt so he can save his people. Moses beckons Allah(This is Arabic for God, it is commonly used by muslims because the english term is in a nutshell whored out and doesn't quite fit the description). Anyways...
Allah sends Khidur to Moses and Khidur says to Moses that he will do things during the journey and asks him not to question his actions. Moses says he will respect this wish even if he didn't ask him. Khidur said this anyway for the moral man would question what he would do, though Khidur never told Moses this yet.
Khidur is like I said a high ranking angel of Allah, he knows some of the knowledge Allah knows not all of course. We believe that knowing all the knowledge is too much for all but He. Allah has trusted him to do some tasks while he guides Moses.
Ok back to the story
Moses and Khidur start their journey and reach a town, here Khidur scuttles a ship for no known reason. Moses asks Khidur why he did this but like mentioned above Khidur reminded Moses of his promise, and they journey outward again.
Moses and Khidur head into a poor town and they having inadequate funds ask around for a place to sleep for the nite. They are refused food and shelter by all and they decide to leave. On their way out Khidur knocks down a wall where ten homeless children for once again no reason. Moses once again wants an answer but Khidur gives him the same response and Moses apologizes.
Now being one thirds away from Egypt Moses and Khidur head to a small house and there Khidur kills a teenager about 16-17. Moses is now like any normal person outraged at Khidur's actions so finally he tells Moses his reasons.
He scuttled the ship because it was being used in an unjust war and it had to be destroyed to save the innocent.
He knocked down the wall of the children's abode because there before their father had died, he left his huge money of inheritance there for the children, the children unaware of this and not being strong enough to move it muchless destroy it would have died slowly if not for Khidur's help.
The last is the most controversial of all he killed the child because he was horrible to his parents and did disrespectful things, his parents tried to raise him out of this but it got out of their control unfortunately and he became a menace to the town, as a result Khidur snuffed him out.
Khidur says this as a lesson to Moses as to that people do things that may be blessings in disguise that may seem to hurt but ultimately benefit those who are in need.
The following said I can attempt to answer the controversial sides to this but I must stress that the details are irrevant to the lesson of the journey.
I am like Khidur because I do things for no apparent reason but they grant benefit to those who need it.
Its hard to explain but this small story explains some of it.
RELIGION ENDS HERE
I looked up the Khidir and saw that it was actually a true name of Arabic and it means something different and more suitable to me.
Guide or leader
Hope you enjoyed the story
