Why in Altena's name does PLD have Polearm skill?

So... I get bored last night and start skilling up Polearm for PLD. Granted, PLD's only have a E in Polearm, but nevertheless, they have skill. There has got to be some reason... Is there any practical application for this that I'm unaware of? For DD GS would be far more efficient. Maybe there is no reason other than to have something to do when you're bored... O.o

Its a pointy pokeing object of doom, what more could you ask?

how about this. why in hell is a samuri one of the specific jobs that get the "club" WS Moonlight? :?

hehe You could 2 hour and use that WS like 5-6 times. With 4 MP jobs in the party that would = about 700 in MP regeneration for your party.

lol i think the party would rather him/her hit the mob with his/her beat down WS's more.

More importently, why make Warriors so great with Great Axe and Axe, and then give them a B grade so all the morons out there think polearm/scythe/great sword is okay to xp with?

maybe they're thinking ahead. if they wanna take drk for a main pre lvling Gsword is a good idea. that way u dont have to constently switch back and fourth with scythe when lvling so much.

pfffft shit, I use G.Axe on DRK and i'l lv 61DRK ...

If you couldnt tell I was joking /sigh

Why does brd even HAVE skill in throwing? Only thing brd can use is pebbles and then they'd have to unequip any instruments to do it. :roll:

Because Bard's are supposed to be pullers don't ya know... ; ;

Thief has E rating in h2h.

For the sole reason of having a good spare weapon for genaki/coffer hunts or anything skeleton related I've leveled h2h to 163 so far. I got it to about 100 solo, then I got to about 130 something with helping my friends do genakis, and then 163 from all the eld coffer hunts.

It's like a fun little side project.

why can rdm use most hand2hand weapons but not build skill in it ._. ; ;

only thing i can think of is that PLD quest is in sandy and there's a sandy CP polearm that adds +10 def =\.....not much but it's the only thing that comes to mind...
and Neo pld's can use most H2H weapons also, but we don't hvae the ability to skill them, same on bow

Now there's the real question. o.o;;

Well think of it fantasy style! Paladins would be close to a knight I suppose. Polearm close to a lance... Throw a chocobo and you have a jousting chocobo knight? Just a guess...

Hey man, I leveled H2H up SOLELY for 5.1 with Thief. Now I wasnt hitting like a monk, but I threw a couple One Inch Punches in there and messed some shit up ^^. Better than swinging that piddly dagger...

I'll be farming with knuckles as my Thief post fifty. Until then Monk is glued to the sands at fifteen. That should let me skillup the two things I actually lack, h2h and blocking/whatever it is.

To answer Brianfist's original question: So we can be cool like Dragoons, do Pentathrust and miss like crazy :lol: :lol: :lol:

The real question at hand is.. why can't Paladin's use a freakin Ridill???? It's a damn sword and we should be able to use all swords! :twisted: :twisted:
