Why?

By all means a credit card is a useful thing, and a 72 PLD is a useful thing.

And the endgamer's insignia glows all the more brightly, blinding him further to the fact that a man is not a credit card. Pardon me for not being surprised that it's the closest analogy you can come up with.

And a MMO isn't life, genius. The Credit Card analogy works really well. I'm sure you're aware of the Point and Reward systems, as well as APR, and maximum Balance.

A 72 Paladin(not real) just wasn't needed. Perhaps they had to many cards on a Rewards System, and wanted a card on Points. If they were 75, perhaps the difference in APR would have swayed them.

If he wasn't needed, they couldn't at least give a courtesy /tell or post on the thread saying sorry, we don't need pld's at this time?

And yet, whenever I apply to a job and don't get it, I've never gotten a "courtesy" call saying I wasn't needed. If you're not responded to in a timely matter, move on. It's as simple as that.

Weren't you the one just saying a few posts ago FFXI isn't real life? Why are you all the sudden comparing it to RL now?

Fine. Do you reply to the credit cards with "I don't need this right now, ask again at some point in the future?" If not, how dare you for not giving them the courtesy to know they aren't required.

Jesus Fucking Nitpicking.

lol I like Nycon.
No, you don't reply to credit cards. They're inanimate objects silly.

You can spot the bad endgamers a mile away. They're the ones trying to stuff their unfortunate children into an ATM.

And MMO characters aren't even physically tangible.

You can spot the kids that were given everything to them by mommy and daddy a mile away. It's rule of the world, Junior. Not everyone is useful for everything. Cry more.

I don't hire people for positions that are filled. I don't subscribe to services I don't need. I do not buy items I will not use. Deal, or get the fuck out.

I think the OP has a pretty good picture of endgamers now. Thanks for informing him.

Yeah, I'm sure he does. Expand your usefulness to increase your chances at getting where you want. Oh gee, that applies to just about everything else in life.

lol I think I'm going to puke. Is he really typing this? THAT is what the endgamer hopefuls have to look forward to?

Pretty much. Don't like it? Don't participate. Theres a chance you just won't be wanted if you can't fulfill different tasks.

Die in a fire already, Peregrine. This should be common sense to any person.

Why should we recruit people who wont live up to what we need them to do?

Bur real people pour lots of time into those characters. Trust me RL > FF, but you cant tell me that is SE accidentially deleted your account you would be furious? I leveled PLD because I love the job, but also because it has a place in End-Game. Forgive me if I am dissapointed that apparently my first draft pick for a Dynamis Shell was a Dud. Dont worry about me, I'm going to continue my grind to 75 by new years.

For all of you who replied with constructive and helpfull advice, I thank you.

Edit- Hit 73 last night will be 74 by Christmas Day. No one on this board except Nycon and Ruffyreborn knows me in game. So none of you know what gear I have (unless you checked the links in my sig) nor what my potential is or what I am capable of.

This thread will go where ever it is going to go, and I will continue to watch it for usefull info, but I'm done seeking a Dynamis Shell for now.

Coustain, don't let stupid things take you down. Keep pushing for more.

All of the players that have a succesfull EndGame or Dynamis shells have been around for a long time. The people in those shells are long time players too and they know each other.

We were there when everyone fought for a piece of space in Valkurn to level up (I wonder if that's what really started some people's older feuds lol). I have pics of people that wear AF2 now, wearing Lizard armor after a succesful ECO-WARRIOR run. They all know who is new and who is old.

Go out, meet people and show all what ur made of. Helping out and involving yourself will gain you rep.

The best is yet to come. ^^

Thanks, but after some thought, and especially after reading the offshoot thread Pere started in the Flameboard, Im going to get to 75 on PLD, do some merits, help my social shell, and if a Dynamis shell picks me up along the way, yay, if not, I still have my freinds in my social to do stuff with.

QCDN is pretty much the worst place imaginable to get your information regarding end game. All you see here is the bad, and it tends to be magnified quite a bit. QCDN and the flameboard do not define end game in any way shape or form.

I think I understand that now. I know lots of people in game and I see the same faces here, of only 2 I know in game. And both of those players are good people.

I first came to QCDN when I came BACK to the game after quitting from the Valefore Server 6 months after the NA PS2 release. I was looking for some advice and help, and after a while I started receiving nothing but elitist diatribes and snooty assholes telling people that if you didn't do something thier way, you were a "noob and stfu, gtfo, wft/e you want to insert here".

If you fall into that click, go fuck yourself. If you actually have helpfull things to say to people, and advice worth giving without finding a way to belittle people trying to better themselves, then thank you.
