Wifi Connection help -_-

I abandoned trying to use Nintendo's Wifi USB Connecter, it wouldn't install on my PC no matter what, So i bought an off brand USB Hotspot generator.

This one installed correctly, But my wii isn't picking up the Hotspot signal to connect to the internet.

Help?

Can the Wii connect using manual settings?
Can anything else connect to the hotspot?
Do you get any error messages at all?

(I also tried using the Nintendo USB Wifi connector, before getting just fed up and buying a wireless router.)


Edit: Can your computer ping the USB connector?
Does the Wii pick up the WiFi signal, but can't connect to the internet through it?
Do you have a router?
Is the USB connector's IP on a different subnet than your LAN connection?

No,
I don't have anything Else to scan for it,
and i never got any error messages.

I'm with you i'm just gonna buy a wireless router -_-.

If you can change any settings on that device at all, these settings might help a bit, they're the same for the DS as well.

TX Rates: 54
Mode Setting: Mix(ed) Mode (options are usually G mode or Mix mode)
Channel: 11 (yours might be different, but 11 works best for me)
SSID Broadcast: Enable
*Security: WEP
*Authentication: Open system

*The last two are if you're using a key(passcode) to access your device, but probably not if it's just a plug and play hotspot device, these are settings direct from my router, hopefully they'll help a bit.

Thanks for trying Gattsu but my Wii doesn't have TX rates or a mode setting

I'm just gonna get a router i think.
