I have read a lot of reviews from Newegg and other reviews from other site

I see good comments and bad comments...

Should i get Vista now or i should wait a bit longer til they fix all the problem people having right now, like crashing, driver not support vista, and lot of stuff

stick to XP for now?

please discuss

Stay w/ XP for now.

Vista is not only slower in the majority of applications and games, but it lacks a lot of drivers to run some of the newish hardware like Creative's Sound Blaster X-Fi(Beta drivers right now).

There's also the issue with a large amount of programs and installers not working incorrectly. Even if you run them in compatibility mode, there's no guarantee it'll work correctly.

Vista also has DRM issues and that screwed up Licencse/Activation that requires you to call in when you replace major pieces of hardware or do a reformat. They also say OEM ed is only applicable once, and that calling in won't help. I've read that so far there have been no probs with that, but who knows since it could be just new tech support screwups.

Until they get all that fixed, stay away. The only reason right now would be to play some DirectX 10 games.

I actually bought it. I'm running solely on Vista right now. I've run into only a few small problems. It's mainly all the drivers like Acks said. ATI has some pretty good video drivers out at the moment. I only appear to be taking a small performance hit compared to what I was on XP. MS said that the whole benchmark thing is just because the vendors are trying to fine tune their Vista compatible drivers, much like they had to when XP came out.

I love Vista, and I'm going to stick with it unless I run into a big problem with it, which I haven't yet (with the exception of POL which I got running anyway). But I would say stick with XP for another month or two. The whole thing behind this isn't 100% Microsoft's fault, it's more software developers try to get their stuff compatible with Vista.
