They did, the Ancient Magic 2 set you have to use merits to get.

I want some new fucking Whm spells or some cooler looking Smn JSE(new Summons would also be nice).

Still waiting for Bst to get something that will make it "Desirable in parties". Dont think i'll hold my breath though. Or maybe doing something that can make "origional party setups" feasible for 75's to bother with. I want to MB dammit!

I have a strong, strong feeling, Uzor, that Ninurta's Sash:

DEF: 6, Attack +6, Haste +6%, Spell Casting Interruption Rate Reduced by 6% ...

Was just some fucking random guy going "Fuck, it's a broken ass item anyway, I don't give a shit". I'll bet you ten bucks it was just some guy being fucking lazy, and everyone else just shruggin their shoulders. Or 9 Euro's, whatever currency you use.

Yeah, this is just a horribly stupid argument. You're reading far, far too much into the game; and at this point you're almost making shit up just to say there's symmetries where there really aren't. The only example you have that is even remotely valid, is the job window, and that's just because if they stayed with the old window of a single column, the window would be pretty large and eventually they'd need a scroll wheel.
No, I were just saying that SE like to stick to numbers. Like making a lot of the benefits on one items the same.
And this is almost as stupid as your symmetry argument. You're trying to put words in my mouth, and it's so obvious and wrong it's laughable. Every job in the game so far has a distinct purpose to it; yeah, there's some overlap in that a lot of them do damage, but they still have different roles. I'm starting to wonder if you've ever actually played with half the jobs you seem to know so little about them.
I'm not trying to put words in your mouth. You've said earlier that they should fix the other jobs. Why? Because they're not as useful as other jobs? Useful in what? merits? end game? Isn't that insinuating that they are less useful then other jobs and serve less of a purpose?

Uzor, if you recall, before Aht Urhgan was released, the jobs shown on Menu > Status >Job Levels was uneven because there were only 15 jobs in two columns.
Why has no one commented on this? Who the fuck cares what it'll look like.
Because I'm still talking about the change job menu. Not the job status menu.

Because I'm still talking about the change job menu. Not the job status menu.
But it's the same idea. The job status menu was uneven for the longest time, and even if the job change menu was one straight line, the job change menu was still uneven. I don't see what kind of superhuge problem would arise from there being an extra space in the job change menu.

You're still reading way too much into completely arbitrary numbers without anything in the way of proof.

You're still trying to put words into my mouth(straight from your ass too, no thanks), because I've never said that. The ONLY job that needs help is PUP, because the only place they're even remotely useful is in salvage and only then if you can't find a monk.

The jobs that are out now, aside from lolPUP, don't need fixing. Not all jobs are as useful as others in some situations, but that's the whole reason of having multiple jobs in the first place. That's also more reason why your chocobo knight, as you've envisioned it, is a complete waste of time, since it brings nothing unique to the game, no purpose to invite it over a dragoon.

It isn't uneven as I mentioned before if its one straight line. Its an uneven ammount, but the menu is still symmetric. It does not however, become symmetric if its one button missing in the job change menu

By your definition of a job being broken, "because the only place they're slightly useful is in Salvage", is wrong. A good PUP (not a gimp one like the majority out there) can keep up to people in most situations. Hell, there were a thread on BG a few months back where a PUP compared his damage to melees, BLMes and SMN's on Kirin. and guess what? He did decent damage. Kept up to them well. Off course a bad PUP will be bad in a party. A bad WAR will be bad in a party though (albeit, probably better then a bad PUP). Just because one person is bad at their job doesn't make everyone bad. PUP happen to be a very technical job where you need to spend a lot of gil to get good equipment, hence why so many suck.

A good PUP can be useful in several places. As an example, on kited NM's. Fortitude, for example. A PUP's Tier 2 spells can do over 700 per nuke fully merited with good equip. Naturally, it won't always do this, since it requires maneuvers. If someone does not have BLM lvled for these situations, a PUP can actually be a good alternative. They're also usefull on Temperance, since they can deal all three damage types, depending on the automaton they use.

Yes, PUP could be leap and bounds better, but so could other jobs be in end-game, considering a few have close to no use there, such as DRG, and apparently you can't see a use for PUP, even though my friend's LS on another server ask her to come PUP.

Step 1-a. Remove Killer Instinct. Give the job a Level 10 Circle ability, that works off the traits you currently have, as in, it upgrades every level you gain additional killer effects. Similiar to how Hasso gets additional Strength boost as the Samurai levels. "Metazoan Circle," would be a suitable name. Level 10, because thats when Beastmaster aquires their first Killer, Vermin Killer.

Step 1-b. Revert all Killer effects back to their original state, granting damage bonus against mob-types, along with the intimidations. Every job would see a benefit from this, but Beastmaster will have a large range of benefit.

Step 2. Replace it with a better merit ability/trait worth the three left over options after maxing out Affinity. Perhaps a trait that modifies Sic to allow you to choose the move, with a TP Bonus effect. Additional Ranks would increase said TP Bonus.

Step 3-a. Tack on an Accuracy and Attack boost to Reward. Varying in strength based on the familiars overall strength, just like the Regen effect does.

Step 3-b. Change Beast Healer to increase said Accuracy and Attack boost slightly as well, let's say +1-2% more per rank. (If you're keeping up at home, that means Beastmaster will then have 3 very desirable Category 2 items)

Step 3-c. Change Pet Foods from 12 stackable to 99 stackable. Recipe output remains the same, as to avoid crashing the market. Bundled as "Boxes." Bundler NPC could be a descendant of Moui, the legendary Beastmaster who developed the foods.

Step 4. Fix CoP Familiar recipes. Either increase HQ rate(Panzer could benefit from this as well,) or make the drops a lot more common.

Step 5. Get invites.

This is nothing job altering or game breaking, but would definitely help out.

I wouldn't be wrong if i said Uzor did a PHD in FFXI =0

Seriously why make threads about how jobs are going to be? they are going to be how they are going to be, no point wasting time imagining about them.

I am a lv 67 pup and i think pup is great for Bcnms and Gods. We are still a new job so we do need some adjustments and better gear options. But i do think pups will be better in the long run. The partys that i am in i do out parse most people i party with. I just think pups need more skill in there weapon AKA auto.

Its funny; people judge people by our c rating in h2h but i try to tell them that is our 2ndary weapon. Our main weapon is our auto

I also will be bringing this fourm Parses on gods

New Job Ideas

I'm thinking a lot of the the new jobs were based on previous ones. Such as Mime and Gambler. Mime would be a PUP because the automaton surely does imitate other jobs (RDM RNG and PLD). And Gambler is definaltey based on COR. If that's the case, very few jobs are left. I'm really thinking Geomancer, Mystic Knight (Sorcerer), Time Mage, and maybe Chemist. I can see all of them working pretty well.
Geomancer, as they leveled, might learn an ability that would allow them to remember previous surroundings and cast magic that would be more effective on mobs. Also, learning more spells on terrain as they leveled by a job trait. Chemist could mix potions together and be somewhat of a healing job, maybe with a melee aspect too and being non dependant on magic, but on items. Mystic Knight, if like from FF5, would have elemental swords. They might could turn it into a tank, and maybe the elemental swords would enfeeble the jobs. This is just my thoughts on it :)

To be quite honest, I don't really have an opinion on what jobs should be in or not... I just try to think what these jobs might be like in game and since I am very unimaginative I usually end up unable to picture a good use for the various jobs suggested so far.

Examples of my unimaginativeness: Mystic Knight - I can't think of what else they can do besides en-spells (maybe Tier II en-spell? or Maybe En-Spellga?) and RDM has that already so maybe they'll get en-spell dmg bonus?

One thing about Chemist, if they have to use real life actual potions and stuff... these job is gonna be way more expensive than NIN, RNG and PUP combined!

Would like a new Mage based pet job. Can u see a mix of pup/smn in 1 job
