I don't play the lottery because I'm beyond competitive. I get ridiculously pissed off when I lose at anything to the point that I get belligerent and sometimes violent if I had control of it.

lol I blame 12 years (basically my entire childhood 5-17) of football, baseball, basketball, and hockey. Of course, playing through pain is why I have two bad knee's; but so long as I win I could care less. It's my problem, yes. Just wait till you see a 80% JP-win rate on the Rank 1-2 prizes. There's where you'll see SE's problem. lol that and I hate the fact that after 100+ days spent online in this game I still getting nothing but frustration and headache's out of SE. Jokes on me though:

Total spent on games + expansions : $400 (PS2/360/PC)
Monthly: $720 (August 04 [48 payments] Re-started - not counting the NA release through quitting)
Total spent on 1 video game... About $1120.

Thank god I didn't buy gil

Compare this to replay value of other games. Assuming $50 cost per game, and buying one new game monthly, which in all actuality you'd probably be buying more than that:

I've bought about 5 games total since I began playing this...FFXI has actually curbed my video game expenditures.

It's really all in how you look at it.
 
True, buying one game a month this game would save me money. lol problem is I don't really play games much at all anymore. Call of Duty 4 tuesday nights, smash bros here and there but that's over a friends house. v.v;; I think my problem is I buy games and barely play them. I know for a fact that, since '04, I've dropped well over $5000 on games and systems if you don't count FFXI and WoW. -.-;; Looking back on it, I'm disappointed and gotta change my relaxing hobby to something else lol that's some coin no matter who you are

PS: My apologies for a complete derail. On topic: I didn't expect to win a lottery in the game because I knew I have no luck >.>

But Sr, what about your playing time overall, it has increased I bet, decreasing the time you spend irl. Maybe you not the case but the majority of the players in FFXI happens that to them.
 
Yes, I've played more video games while paying less.

Dollars/hour, my cost is at the best it's ever been, lol.
 
when i get hit by lightning i'll play the lotto lol, some people get really lucky off of it but it's too much of an investment of chance per say.
