...Worst party ever.

I'm not one to rant on about things that piss me off in-game..but I thought this one took the fuckin' cake.

I was seeking on my 52NIN today and was pretty excited about it. The server was kind of dead..nothing really much happening EXP-wise my level.

..I accept this invite (which surprisingly had a LS member in it with me, Carste, lol) and we wait for the leader to find a 6th. ..I don't know about you but I always like the check the jobs that are in my party before we head out, just so I know what to expect.

THE SETUP:
NIN, NIN, SMN, SMN, SMN, THF.

Holy shit, you heard me right. 3 SMNs, 2 tanks, and a THF. Holy hell, this must be AN UBER PARTY.

..Nah, wasn't the leaders fault. Sure, he could've waited all day to get the right jobs in the party..but unfortunately, that is all we had at our disposal.

We decide to head to Crawler's Nest, being our party was 50-52, and we head over to the Helm Beetle Camp. At this point, the leader decides to set forth some rules to abide by so that we were all on the same page. He specifically said, "If we get links, let the avatars handle it while we defeat our pulled mob and take care of the add-ons."

So, my [Incredibly Tough] Thief pal, Carste pulls mobs one by one..everything's going great [Kind of slow kills, but no deaths at this point] and everything goes well. I was first voking, the other NIN was tanking and the SMNs are doing their thing while one mainhealed.

VANA'DIEL..WE HAVE A PRoBLEM.

Lord and behold, we have our first link.

That's fine.. Just stick to the plan. No biggy, right?

Wrong!

This stupid ass NIN decides to tank the extra mob while the rest of us are fighting the mob that was originally pulled..and the fucker dies.

Meanwhile, a nice BST (Crocker) decides to come along and help by curing us while we took on the mobs and one of our SMNs decides to make a scene about it and argue with her.

...Long story short..this is where the linkage kept coming and coming. I died at least 10 times because of that NIN's stupidity.

I believe that he was either RMT, or an idiot..probably both.

I'm not going to name any names about this horrible party..you'll hear it through the grapevine.

P.S. BTW, The NIN's name was Pevabe. He didn't even have Ni spells. ..Ninny Nin, anyone?

I stopped reading at the set up, just like I would have left when I saw the set up. You want to take the chance on a shitty set up, you have it coming when it turns into a shitty party.

..I already Mijin'ed once. That's the only reason I didn't walk out with less EXP than I started with lol

Re-reading your post..if you tied like 10 times..shouldn't you have left after like..the 3rd? If it didn't work out the first few times..what would make it better?

The saying goes "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me" (replace fool with something else) It sucked, (call me mean) but if you kept staying and dying..then that's your problem I believe. If a party is shitty..I don't stay, I leave.

Anyways, pt sucked but i don't think it was worst ever, although damn close. Also, don't be so hard on the RMT. how else are us poor people supposed to make money? go out and farm? please.... c'mon.

But what were the summoners doing during all this? And did you say one of the summoners argued with a BST who was CURING you? Crazy.

Tbh the fact you stayed for 10 though was your own fault, i agree with everyone after 2-3 i would have been outta there.

Lol, yea you're right. In retrospect, I probably would have left if I knew it was going to be that bad. I left the first few fly a little bit and didn't want to leave the party hanging (there weren't anyone on to replace me with that was seeking).

That, and I had that little ounce of hope that the exp was going to pick up. =/

Failure for staying in a shitty pt setup then complaining when it failed.
 
yeah, late 40's to early 60's, parties are hard as hell to come by.......... Even ones with weird setups

I guess desperate times call for desperate measures..... or solo lol. I would have wented with the despreate measure and learned the hard way.

I'd say 9 to 9.5 times out of 10, you're going to be better off soloing. It's time consuming and can get boring sometimes if you're really not in the mood to solo. Too many people afraid to politely decline when they see a weak party setup (or after the first death(s)). I say BS. If you value your time (and your good mood) then it's just as much your responsibility to pass as it is theirs to not even start that junk.

EDIT: Scarily enough, I personally have soloed for better exp than some of those types of parties. Trust me, from experience, you're likely much better off on your own. Doesn't mean don't try anything new/different, but don't waste your time once you know something isn't going to work.
