Yeah, I used to solo and drop 3-4k Burst IIs on my BLM too.

I hardly ever do exp pts unless I get invited by this cute little taru named shyrra. (hes very gimpy but fun to play with)

The word is Decent dd not best dd output. In the 50's you are not going to to be doing burn parties most likely anyway. A smn has just about the same use as a blm, so I find it awkward you bring up this argument.

As a smn I will say at 50 there is no way we can compete with blm. Damage BP suck we can just buff and heal. There is no way we can compete with blm. At 50 smns should just be soloing in ifrits anyways.

with the new separation of offensive and defensive you can easily play buff role as well as a minor dd and heal if needed, which in my book put you one up on a blm. (Now when I say can do all 3 this would mean you are not main healer.)

Not if your looking for DD and having 3 is just dumb at that level there are only so many buffs. Grab blm if you want DD smn if you want a healer at that level. If you don't want to heal as smn at that level solo in ifrits it much better than most exp partys at that leve anyways.

On a sidenote how do you burst solo? I mean i can do a SC with my avatar but how do you burst it? I ask because i plan to start leveling my Smn soon.

You're a moron. SMN does nowhere near the DMG a BLM does, pre-70, and even post-70 BLM does more dmg, SMN just has more use because it can do nearly the same dmg with no hate attributed to the character itself. Yeah, it can toss some nice buffs, but at 50 NIN is a mediocre DD, and THF still sucks then. You have 3 people to buff, on 3 crappy DDs. The party setup all around sucks ass, they'd be lucky to make 3-4k/hr.

Yeah which is why i was asking since Shy and Dun were talking about Bursting solo as BLM and SMN. Subbing BLM or SMN is the only real way i can think of doing it.
