Wrestling Thread! Wrestlemania XXV...Texas!

Mysterio's only "moment" was when Kevin Nash used him as a lawn dart on a truck during Nitro.

Predictable draft picks were predictable. If you watched where the thing went if a certain person didnt come up they were likely to be drafted. I called the HHH, Batista, and Matt Hardy picks using that system. So I'm going to assume that Batista gets Edge's belt it will be a Cena/Batista feud then HHH/Edge/Mr. Kennedy feud. Honestly the only picks that were surprises to me were Michael Cole, seriously how relevant are the announcers, and Mr Kennedy. You knew a big raw star was going to smackdown for rating purposes to try to get smackdown out of the gutter.

Dibiase can't talk.

I was grating my teeth listening to his listless commentary. I turned to Dani and even remarked to her that he can't talk to which she readily agreed. To be a young heel you have to be able to piss people off on the mic to have a future. Part of the reason people love Y2J is his young heel days.

That is so true. Most of the biggest stars in wrestling all started out heel. Steve Austin started heel with the whole "ringmaster" gimmick then evolving it to some crazy redneck rebel. People even started liking him even though he was suppose to be hated. The Rock started face but he really didn't get popular until he turned heel and joined the Nation of Domination. Its funny cause he was getting booed as a face and then cheered after he turned heel for awhile. I personally think the Rock's greatest moments were when he was heel. Both times actually. Undertaker was heel for awhile when he debuted and he was growing in popularity rather quickly. The deadman gimmick worked well for him. Now he's a legend. HHH is known for being the heel of heels and its made him into a huge star with his feuds with Austin, Mick Foley and Rock and teaming with McMahon in early 2000. Bret Hart was heel during his early days with the Hart Foundation and they became big later on. Shawn Michaels started to really shine as a singles competitor when he turned heel by backstabbing Marty Jannetty (was cool seeing that aired on raw). Mick Foley had some good heel runs that made him famous. Cactus Jack in ECW and Mankind in WWF at the time. And of course good ol Rick Flair. His heel days, espcially with the horseman made him into a legend.

Add to that, Randy orton didn't get much fan reaction when he was face. But he's an awesome heel.

I was glad to see HHH go to Smackdown. I never watch that show and I've had about enough of him on Raw for the time being. If only they would have sent Cena with him. :gtfo:

Switching Jim Ross kinda pisses me off though. There is no telling how many years that man has left in him and to put him on Smackdown is waste. Raw will not be the same without him.

I am really upset that JR got moved...but I guess I'll be watching smackdown for a while. Not a huge fan of Michael Cole...

Noooooooooooooooo

Smackdown has taken away my Maria ; ;

I'm really glad Shelton Benjamin got drafted to Smackdown, i used to enjoy watching him but i've never watched an episode of ECW, i'm not even sure they broadcast it in the UK lol.

I'm also glad Finlay & 'Hornswoggle' are gone, they really annoy me for many reasons that i wont go into.

Ewww, layla to raw.

Man screw that I'd rather have Kelly

Im not a Kelly Kelly fan. She is nowhere near as hot as when she was first getting slapped around by Mike Knox. She can only do one stupid dance. Shes tried to wrestle but it always comes back to her trying to dance.

Pass.

No woman has been good since Mickie James went bowling ball on Trish a few years ago at Wrestlemania. She was legit hot and the screw loose but not totally crazy angle was pretty good.

But yea, otherwise ECW is getting totally cornholed. RAW is stacked.
