Wrestling Thread! Wrestlemania XXV...Texas!

It wasn't a squash. Orton had just faced Evan Bourne in a relatively competitive match just before.

Though I can't say he isn't being booked as a weakling. He seems to be so weak without Legacy helping him with a 3 on 1.

I liked the triple challenge Orton faced last monday. I didn't expect what Swagger did and it established him firmly in heel land for his remaining time on RAW. But, since Mark Henry has been that for soooo long I was eagerly waiting for the reaction the people had after he went face. Ohhh and was it good, I love surprises!

Well, he may not have been squashed when it comes to wrestling lingo, but he got World's Strongest Slammed by a 400 pound man. So technically he did get "squashed", lol.

That slam felt real and Randy knows how to sell a move. He makes you look good while doing it, thats why Vince has him where he's at.

ps - I still don't know how HHH let him kiss Stephanie in the lips. lol

Bah I missed the suprise. I fell asleep right when the 3 on 1 was about to begin but I figured nothing too important would happen and I would just read about it so I didn't care. Sounds like it was interesting.

Swagger looks like he could be a big player in RAW now. Let's see what he does today to climb the popularity ladder.

Hate to disappoint you, but don't think henry going face (tweaker maybe). More likely he saying I'm the top dog around here now step aside. Just hope this means he getting a push for the title rather see someone new get it other then hhh and cena vs orton feuds.

In other news do you think ecw got screwed in this trade?
Personally I don't. Regal is a strong gain and shamus look like he can do well there as well. However was not to hot on that Abraham Washington guy and his show that has no place on ecw.

Mark Henry still looked face to me last monday. Plus Edge is out for a few months because of an injury. WWE are working on an angle for the Tag Team titles to be won by Cody and Ted.

I see we all agree on the champion for RAW.

My choice for Smackdown has always been Jeff Hardy. I know Vince doesn't let him keep the title because of the drug problem. But I think he has proven that he's responsable enough by now...

Yeah but hes most likely taking a break from the company soon. Last I saw he still hadnt renewed his contract.

He renewed it but I believe it was a 1 year contract. He wanting take time for his music.

Um no he hasn't. Atleast no word of it has been given out.

Today Seth Green is the special guest General Manager on RAW. He is the 1st celebrity since Trump implemented this idea 2 weeks ago. This will be interesting today!

Summerslam was pretty good. Some matches were much better than others.

Spoiler:
And the Undertaker returns! at summerslam!!

Cena/Orton suffered from that ridiculous match restarting over and over thing. Glad Orton won, I want him to have a decent sized title reign.

Kane/Khali = Meh. No worse or better than I expected. Glad Kane didn't job.

Y2Show/Cryme tyme - I missed most of the match. Seemed ok, again happy with the outcome.

DX/Legacy - So glad Legacy didn't completely get owned and actually held their own in the match. Would've liked them to win but I suppose thats asking for a bit much seeing as how it was HBK's return match.

Rey/Ziggler - Was a really good opening match, too bad Rey won.

MVP/Swagger - Alright match, again would've rather had Swagger take the win. He has much more potential than MPV in my opinion.

Christian/Regal - Oh no, Christian mightve broken Kane's record for the fastest ever ECW championship match. I don't really watch ECW so I have no idea what Jackson and Kozlov were doing with Regal, but I suppose it was smart of Christian to end the match before they could get involved.

Hardy/Punk - We all knew (or should've) that Punk was gonna win. Hardy is leaving the WWE after smackdown supposedly. I was wondering why this was the main event since they don't normally like to send the fans home with a heel victory. But we found out about that afterwards.

The match was a spotfest, fun to watch. Hardy's swanton on the announce desk was really awesome. But the best part of this match was the aftermath. As Punk is celebrating standing over a downed Jeff Hardy, the lights go out and the gong is heard. Was such a great moment. To make it even better, the Jeff hardy that Punk was standing over has all of a sudden become the Undertaker as the lights go out. That was an awesome way to start the Taker/Punk feud.

Was kinda surprised by the complete lack of diva involvement at summerslam this year. Doesn't it usually result in diva swimsuit competitions or somehting? lol

Also, on another note, I just read that Bryan Danielson is coming to the WWE. I honestly have no idea who he is besides that he was in ROH. But I keep hearing repeatedly all over the web how hes like the best wrestler today. So this could be very interesting.
