Would you still feel the same if it was a US seller who didn't live in poverty?

Do we know this guy lives in china and sleeps with chickens in the platonic sense?

I think it's a bit of a stretch, so until i know better i'm not inclined to be apathetic. Especially whereas on the opposing end if someone assaulted me, stole from me, etc could be held accountable for his/her actions. There are more than enough people in the world who live in poverty and manage to make some kind of living without logging in to a game with the sole purpose of doing damage to said game wether on purpose or inadvertently.

The sole purpose of a game is to play, not work, work is for designers and coders and crap.
 
I see this thread.. and i'm not sure why it warrants even more flaming on the guy. All of you know damn good and well that he will never drop the cape and isn't going to do anything concerning this for any noble reason..

As far as my opinion.. stealing is wrong, and I don't care about RMT, seen it in too many games to really be of the opinion that it breaks them. The problem with gil in this game is the lack of crafters and more importantly readily available resources that don't break the bank. That is all.

Amen to that :D I'd never toss something like that if it came from a gilseller. Nor would I do it for morals in the first place. I don't consider sellers players, they are workers who shouldnt be working in this game.

I /clap for Sev, he's did something many of us wish we could do. I'd ignore all the hate on these threads since they are just jealous such good luck couldnt happen to them.

hahaha i dont know who pulled this off but that is awesome. How is he a bad person when he fucks over the people who make your game a living hell. Name 1 fuckin person on this game that supports gil sellers. Why dont you go try camping pallas or alky in upper delf. tower and see how much you like them(this is just 2 NM they camp everyday). Everytime i got claim on either one their whole dam group would try to mpk me and steal the mob sometimes.I reported them every day for 1 month and gm didnt do shit. How would you like some lil shit to steal a 60M gil item from you or more. We need more people to try this on a regular basis and it might drive them out lol.

And what was said earlier, this is a game and people sometimes have to play dirty, and in this case it turned out good by screwin over the sellers. And you people who say you would drop the item are full of shit, theres no way you would drop it, and in fact im sure you would have came straight to this site and made a post about it just like the guy who fucked them over.

I wouldn't really want to screw someone's life over or anything.
 
Coincidentally I havent seen any of the OMG I cant believe you scammed a gilseller! ppls complaining about the price drops and the loss of billions of gil from the servers. I expected after the banning/deletion for at least someone to come out and say OMG SE killed my blah mule and i lost 400mil! But not one.. on any server have I seen at all, and i've looked.

Well, the reason I used the Min. Wage McDonalds Employee as an example, is because do you guys honestly think the worker ants see majority of the money from IGE/Chinese-farmer sites? Heh... right. They pay bottom dollar for the gil, and sell at whatever they can to push it, and sit ontop of their mound of money as a middle man. Even the Chinese collective sites do that, and you're a fool if you think the sad hard-pressed overpopulation forced "player" is making anything worthwhile.

Well to all of you that said Sev's a theif, it's not like he would have tried to scam a random player. He knew it was a gil seller and wanted to see if he/she was dumb enough to get scammed.

To whoever said "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me" (on the Good Times thread) is right but here's the thing. The GS saw that Sev tried to switch the merc. kris with a regular one. SAW IT 3 TIMES! But the dumbass GS fell for it and therefore the shame falls upon him/her.

Anyway, i'd rather see the 40mil go to Sev than that dumbass GS. And I gurantee that Sev has not even looked at this thread yet.
