WTF are we doing..

Those are two flaws of that time erra... But you know what during WWII 16 year old boys forged birth certificate to go to war and fight for there country, we got attacked, they responded... Now if we got attacked no 16 year old kid is gonna want revenge.

Racism, and intollerance(spelling? sry) to homosexuality is no different today as it was 50 years ago, people just dont mention it or bring it up because laws/people have changed and to be quite honest, people don't express there opionions like they used to. (im not against either.

What about religion? Religion is shoved down peoples throats everywhere you go, if your not this your going to hell, if you do this your gonna get 72 virgins, take god out of the pledge of aleigance(sp).

And i'm not just talking about America, people across the world are fucked up beyond belief.

There are just so many little fine points in the world today that are just like what the fuck......One big Cycle, does the human population even deserve to be dominate species on earth, all we do is fight kill and argue, Peace doesn't last that long ever, and if it does some one else starts something else.

So what are your options? Complain and talk about how awful it is? Or do something to change it? You can't spend your life dwelling on everything that's wrong with the world. There's no point in it. It's the way it is. You have a very short time on this planet; some unfortunately shorter than others. You can be part of the problem - those that say "oh isn't that a shame" and shake their heads as the walk right on by or you can be part of the solution. Put your words into action. If something pisses you off, write your local paper. Or your senator. Or start up a website to raise awareness on issues you find personally important to you. Volunteer. Give blood. Do something positive instead of wrapping yourself up in the negative.

This is the way the world is. You can struggle your whole life fighting the tide or you can go with the flow and realize that this is it. You make of it what you can - you find the beauty in the world or you make it. But linger on everything that's wrong and you'll never be happy.
 
Im tryin to help society, i'm serving my country, theres only so much a 19 year old kid can do, fuck if i had the brain capacity that some of the kids i knew in high school had, but they blew it on drugs, I would try to cure cancer. Or cure aids, or find an alternate fuel source to oil, but its not that easy to do

I guess that's my point. It's easier than you think. You're thinking in extremes. "Oh my God the world is going to shit, what have we become?" "I'd cure cancer or stop AIDS if I could." Not exact quotes, but you get the idea. The smallest gestures can make the biggest differences in a person's life. The littlest effort can start a chain that grows into something bigger than yourself.

One person - one 19 year old, one dreamer, one person of conviction and compassion can accomplish great things. We have a history that shows it. If you think you can't contribute anything or can't contribute enough, you never will. Bottom line, you don't have to be a rocket scientist or a nobel peace prize winner to better the world. You just have to do and not just say. And serving your country is a good start.

But let me tell you the hard truth: there's little you can do, or to help.

Look at Africa. After 20+ years it's still fucked.

Help those around you, but don't lose sleep every night because you can't help everyone.

We have alternative fuel, we have very good treatments for cancer, we have preventative measures for AIDs (I don't think it's curable.. some way the virus works once you're infected).

The problem is not that these things don't exist, it's that the people in charge won't implament them. There's no money to be made in oil free cars, there is no money to be made in curing people of cancer/aids - there is money in oil and there is money in drugs.

Face it, buddy: life sucks and the people in charge make it suck even more.

You really wanna do something? Become a politician and try to cut the bullshit that corporate America weaves.
