But back on track Windy honestly lost more than likely because of people coming back and leveling lower jobs from the Welcome Back campaign. I know quite a few that did return and were sandorian.

The worst dialect-wialect.
The worst leader.
The worst newbie zones. (Aht Urghan broked Wind Crystals)
 
Also:
The worst newbie zone NMs. Fuckers can't compete with Leaping Lizzy, Jaggedy-Eared Jack, Big Mouth Billy(mofo drops plat ores thats hardcore,) Stinging Sophie, or Maighdean Uaine.

Windurst happens to be my favorite city in FFXI because of those reasons:

Dynamis Windurst was crazy fun
The look of it stays in touch with nature which is awesome =D
I don't mind the dialect, it just includes it for added Taru cuteness.
The leader can see the future, she can prevent things from happening pretty easily.. or not in some cases. Plus each of the leaders is guilty of something in Vana'diel's history (If you played the San d'Oria storyline you'll see that they are the worst of it).
I have no comment for that, I thought all the newbie zones were equal. They all had a killer bunny in there somewhere (Although I'm not sure about Gustaburg, but they've got a killer something somewhere)

In my honest opinion I think Windurst is the best designed city ^^
