My prediction for XboX "3", ( I named it myself ) will probably have...
- Duel socket chip set supporting twin AMD Quad cores with very fast clocked speeds. Unless Microsoft pays some combined super nerds hundreds of millions of dollars to develop a chip to tackle the CBE in the PS3.
-It'll have a smoking ATI GPU, probably flying solo as opposed to some form of Crossfire to keep the price tag down. This GPU will most likely be as powerful as the ones we're seeing in the market right now.
If Microsoft can obtain the rights, it will have XDR RAM. It's worth it for Sony to pay Rambus in advance to give Microsoft the finger. (Watching the Presidents of Sony and RAMBUS in an interview was like watching John Lennon and Yoko Ono being interviewed.)
- It cannot fail to have more horsepower and memory capabilities than the much cheaper PS3.
- It will have a built in Blu-Ray ROM. Probably one that can read 4 layer Blu-Ray discs. Or maybe not.
- it will be compatible with XboX360 controllers.
- All issues regarding the quality of the product will be addressed in advance. ( No console knows maintenance like XboX and XboX360 )
- Will have different versions regarding HDD space, (It's plausible it'll have official stackable external HDD's for the option to achieve a Terabyte or more. Or maybe it'll have twin HDD's that exceed 350 Gigs each. (The second one being sold as an option separately)
- XboX 3 will not be cheap and it will be going up against the cheaper PS3.
- Will carry on some of the 360's exclusives, possibly Ninja Gaiden 3
- Will have XBL and all that goes with it. ( Possibly free XBL ? Depends. But you know you want it. )
- Early in it's launch, it will be smashed on the pavement in public and broadcast on the internet. ( In this day and age not smashing a new gaming machine would be an insult. Is there even a Smash my N-Gage ?)
- Will have the balls to bring home games that are X-Rated. (Possibly support wireless toys to share masturbatory sessions with members of the opposite sex online. Funny, but plausible)
- Don't want to start any rumors. But for all we know XboX 3 might just shock us all with a surprise release of Halo 4. Regardless how they said Halo 3 was the final chapter. Halo 4 would make a good amount of noise.
If it survives it's early existence, It should have enough games to mock the arrival of the PS4. By all means, the PS4 in every sense of the word will be magic compared to what we've seen in the 16/32 bit era and below for console gaming. XboX 3 will be inferior to PS4, but it will put up an amazing fight and possibly cripple the PS4 for a good while or even permanently.
At this point in time it'll be a challenge to release this awesome beast of a machine and it being a reasonable price. Microsoft will also have to pull some strings to ensure something greater than the PS3's CPU and amazing RAM. It will happen.
