Peter Moore is so full of shit I can smell him over here.
His blaming of retailers taking too many pre-orders is utterly ridiculous, I mean honestly, how the fuck are you going to only ship 20-30 units, of which 4-6 are platinums to major retailers?

Pepsi co. had 9k+ platinums shipped to contest winners over the last 2 weeks, and Microsoft held an event a few weeks ago in an airplane hanger with a wide array of guest including Cliffy B, the RvB guys etc. and sold platinums by the pallet to those in attendance. I even saw Snoop Dogg on TV talking about how this thing was "off the hizzy" as he and his kids enjoyed their free (yes free, only in America do we give free luxury items to the mega rich) 360.
Oh, also, don't believe the bullshit about no more coming till March. Theres no fucking way in all that is logical that MS will not try to pack as much $$$ back into their pockets for the holidays as they can. Releasing a month before X-mas says it all, You can't create the illusion among all of the free world, gamer or not, that your product is the "must have" for the holiday season without generating a steaming hype machine that tears into all forms of media. And nothing says that better than our local, general interest Evening News programs: "broadcasting live from a local Wal-Mart, where people are angry over standing here forever, and getting nothing, what is it? what is this holiday must have? well, find out on the blah blah blah News at 9"
Think about it, by next week, even my 87 yr old Grandmother who can't remember my name without cycling through the names of all 19 grandkids will know about this "must have". Thats PR you can't buy, but you sure as hell can create it.
So here's a big Fuck You to Mr. Moore for assuming we are all morons.
Oh please discuss ^.~
