Whooooohooooo! after all the wait the expansion pack is installing, man I cant wait to go into the new areas and die because my lvl is too low ^^

Or maybe not, but all the screenshots show higher lvls in there ^^

time will tell

I am about to go and pick mine up, but will wait until this weekend to install - becuz of the warning....(it says that if you disconnect when installing, you could lose all data and have to install the original ffxi all over again - they have been having probs w/ the ps2 versions doing this during install) our only disconnects when tons of people are trying to get on at once (like after updates) so I am gonna play it safe...

But you HAVE TO LET US KNOW HOW IT IS ASIA!!!!!

would love to get mine, but i cant play til weekends for a lil while cuz of big tests coming up in school :x

I got charged for it today, so I'll hopefully get it tomorrow. And I have tomorrow off. So other than me helping a few friends with something, I'm going to try and check out some of the new areas. I just hope I don't have to be level 46823978649356 to not die fast.

/em sighs dejectedly

Looks like after installation Im up against a 10k file update.
Sweet Mary's tits this is gonna take all night......................

Why Squeenix? oh why must you tempt then taketh away?
Worse yet, why do I allow it to consume so much of life's sweet time?

Answer: ADDICT!!!!!

Well I had to wait 1/2 a day to get home from work.

The CD Install takes 30 minutes.
Takes me 5 minutes to figure out where I register the exp pack. (Its been awhile)
Then the dreaded up date screen. 15 Minutes to check all 10000+ files.
Then I get slapped with a 45 Minute Download (On my Cable Connection)

Thats where I'm at now, So at some point tonight I'll get to play. (PS2 Release)

/rant on So gay, they shipped it TO FLORIDA WTF THEY KNEW THERE WERE HURRICANES THERE.../rant off

Perhaps they had no control over where it shipped, but I think it's bs that the ps2 people get their copy of the game before we do. Why do we have to wait even longer ><

You guys got the original game several months before us

But you're right, why would it be so hard to keep both versions in the same place?

You lucky #$*@#)%&!!! Congrats!!! I hope it finally gets here today!!!

Mary is not sweet, she is a dirty skank that won't drop her horns!!

Well, I'm pretty excited! I took my sweet time and installed the expansion pack right, following every detail, soaking in the updating goodness.

After it was completely installed, I decided to celebrate and spend my entire night in the Cralwers Nest :|

Anyone want to pt up and explore the new areas?

Woot I just picked up my copy. Time to start the installation! :D

-_-
.........

.........................../SIGH

yeah, i just picked it up today too. I was about to post an "aww Hell NO" thread on it.
10 min install.....likewise 5 min of fishing around to find the damn registeration thing, and bam, HELOOOOOOO 10,445 file check. ><
/em waits patiently.
~Syn

on the upside Brittany Spears got married. Maybe there will be a Spears video in the line of the Pam and Tommy Lee one

I'm installing it now... the 25 mins wasn't too bad, but now i gotta download something like 10,000 files! Man, it's only half way through the prep. the downloading is gonna take forever >< Well at least it'll be worth it, see you in the new areas.

What did the CD actually install? Why did we have to download 10,000 files. I finally got to see the Intro Video everyone seems to talk about on the other boards. Never figured out how to play it with the orginal game CD's.

I did finally get it fully installed last night. Logged into the game. Was in the highlands, right near Gusgen Mines. But did i Go run over there to check out the new area. Nope, I went to Altep and almost got my self killed a few times. That little Catus guy is cute, but DAMN it hits hard. Guess at some point I'll go exploring, but a bit worried at my level to travel into areas I know nothing about. (i.e. Altep).

I'm game if anyone does want to go exploring, safty in numbers. Hey anyone know how to get out to the new area west of sandy?
