Yet another Dawnn flame! (Shocker, eh?)

I normally try to avoid drama at all costs, but this is retarded. As you all know Dawnn already I'm sure from previous flames, I'd like to add one. As of late I've been taking a little bit of a break from FFXI, for personal reasons somewhat, but also due to the fact I'm balancing 2 other games at the same time (neither MMOs). This is where the flame starts. I run a Nyzul static, and regardless of the reasoning, I make sure that I'm there each and every monday, regardless if I want to go or not, to make sure that my static members can finish climb, and get they armor the want and deserve. Dawnn was, and I emphasize, WAS, a member of the static, and there are two main reasons he isn't anymore. The first, which he was put on probation for, was lotting a piece of character on his brothers character (which mind you, his brother barely plays), ninja lotting the piece of goliard away from our statics full time WHM. Oh, and did I mention that he was DBing said character, and his own? So he was hurting the damage of the party too, that haracter he was DBing besides his sam, was a blm! Now. I wouldnt have been so mad at just that, but he didnt show up for two weeks after that, and neither week did he provide ANY notice, when he had the means to do so. From there he was put on probation, but allowed back in eventully. Here's where it gets better. I'm sure you all know what an in game commitment is, I.E.... dynamis, limbus, etc. Its a time you have set aside for that event and that event only. Dawnn had committed to our static, then he goes and decides he was going to join a HNM shell, saying he couldnt stay for the runs. He was promptly removed from the static, permantly. So, QCDN, what do you think about this? Is it just me, or is this some douchebaggery?

Nice wall o' text there buddy. I'm having a hard time makin sense of what you're saying........is this a flame about Dawnn ninjaing a goliard body, or a flame about his lack of commitment? People really ARE free to come and go as they please, even if it IS pretty fucked up doing so after getting gear. If you allowed him to DB a character then really its your own damn fault for letting him. As an ex-leader of a Nyzul static, I can tell you its really your call as to who comes what and such. I wouldnt call it douchebaggery, more like carelessness on your part, and jackassery on Dawnns.

Agreed. Funny thing about nyzul is, its easy as hell as long as you have the people who are willing to pull their own weight. Quit bitchin, and move on. Let this serve as a learning experience.

The douchebaggery comes in at the ninja lot to me. Yes, he let him dual-box in Nyzul, but no one predicted he'd ninja lot. Why did you probation him? I would of just removed him from the ninja lot. Now it is pretty douchey for him saying he can't stay suddenly for HNMs when he was supposed to be committing his time to the static, but yeah just replace him and everything will be just fine.

I second that nyzul is easy. It actually is. We climbed all the way to 100 w/ 5 members...

Only issue was one of our other DDs got the RRoD on their 360, so I was short 2 members. It was more of a rant then anything, but, yeah, lesson learned. Guess I have a week to find a replacement @_@.

dawnn dbing?! If your talking about Duskk thats his brother account not dawnn, unless his brother was not home but who knows its here say. statics come and go as do many players it sucks when you lose one and gotta find a rep(I'll give ya that)This is why now days people run site in ls only we all know how pick up pts can end up, Look at this one its on the flameboard.

When people have a gripe with someone or something, they usually whine. This section of the forums is specifically for whining, so I don't know what you expect. The guy ninja'd something he wasn't entitled to lot, and then ditched the static without any notice or respect. Pretty solid grounds for a flame, if you ask me. Apart from the fact I already know Dawnn from previous flames, for new people it's a good warning of a player to avoid - again, what this section is specifically for. If you don't like whining you should probably not read the flameboard.

Not that I'm justifying anyone's actions here, but things like this could always be avoided if the leader wasn't so quick to pass on things that drop, and made sure that only the people who were supposed to get the items were the ones lotting said items. If someone that's not supposed to be lotting does, and refuses to pass then kick them. It's pretty simple. The only exception I could see with this is if the run was short on time after defeating the boss (like a matter of seconds). Even then it's not that difficult to keep things organized. Perhaps both parties here are to blame?

After the ninja lot you should have just replaced him, its one thing to say something is accidental but when you're in a static you should be aware who is up for each piece of gear should it drop and that way there is no confusion when gear does drop.

I'm in a sucessful Nyzul static and everyone there knows when to pass and who gets to lot its called teamwork, as far as losing this person to HNM's well maybe this flame and others are a good example of how far you can trust this dual-boxing ninja lotter.

Good fortune finding a worthwhile replacement, dont worry there are plenty of good players out there needing a chance at Nyzul, you'll find someone. ^^

1. It wasn't Duskk, it was dawnn controlling both. So no Duskk wasn't even controlling that character at all that night that the WHM (who shares goliard priority with the static's RDM) didn't get the goliard piece. The only time a piece of nyzul equipment goes freelot (to another static member or an 'extra') is if the member who have priority for that piece(static's rdm & whm in this case) already has that piece. Only the WHM was allowed to lot on the Goliard piece in question in this flame

2. Dawnn DID NOT leave the static (So no, this theory doesn't work with this situation) He was kicked Monday night. The static was gathering and starting to get ready to enter and once he was in the static party and party was 5/6(the 6th member had a RRoD on xbox last mon, so is gone for 2 runs) he said he couldn't stay too long cuz he had recently joined a HNM ls and KB was popping soon.

But there was no notice given at all. The static does 4 tags worth of runs (either all climbing or 2 climb/2 farm) every monday. He knew he had a 4 run comittment during that time frame and gave no mention that he wouldn't be able to stay til he was in the nyzul static party. Given he can reach the leaders of static via POL msg(on his friend list), msn, etc. But

If someone clearly ninja lots, and not even on their own character, then he should be removed from any linkshell/group then and there. I had a friend who accidentally ninja lotted something from a LS. They understood and didn't kick him because he couldn't even wear it or was leveling a job that could. He said he can drop it and SS it and they said that'd just be a waste. So instead he refused to level a job to even use it and keep it in storage. I usually call bullshit on "accidents" like that (especially if they can wear it or are leveling a job that can), but since he refused to even use it, I believe it was an accident.

Sorry but how do you know who is controlling which character that night? Besides the fact its a crappy thing to do to the person who had priority, your Whm. Shouldnt have even considered letting him back on any kind of 'trial' basis after that action.

I think the OP even said it wasn't Duskk, it was Dawnn. And I'm just assuming so don't take my word on it, but I think Elvaanmage is in the Static.
