Because 2hr timers cant be reset by being "too fast" on the claim like spells and Dia can. You can just target away and spam macros till its possible to claim.

So I laugh at people who use it to compare relative linkshell gear success, as if it's comparable to a blackbelt, a M or E body or even the mildly useful herald gaiters. More useful mage gear a HNM shell can get... like W body for rdm, manteel for brd, a hands for blm. Maybe dalmatica is great if you intend to afk for 2 minutes and when you get back want an extra cure 3 to dish out... but it's not a E body, period.

To Perse: Noone says your shell claims too many things... people say Chronicles in your shell claims too many things for one shell. In recent time you have the highest claim rate on kings just about, and Chronicles contributes to roughly half of those. Btw, those chatlogs do not prove or disprove anything at all. Msn chatlogs however do bring some curiosity, compounded with what majority of the people in DA have been seeing... Think what you want
 
Why do people define success through Fafhogg kills? Are you guys that blinded by the gear to think that in order to be successful, you have to camp kings?

Valkrys was one of the greatest and most skilled shells out there back in the day. So what that they didnt camp fafhogg? Honestly, I could toss my E Body right now, and It would have no impact on the success we've come to have.

Success is about going from kiting Genbu around that damned bush 2+ years ago to killing Vrtra in about an hour with no trouble at all. Success is those 18 or less man Tiamats where any mistake could lead to a wipe, but managing to pull through. Its having the cool to handle Jorm at 13% that is going ape shit and all three of your tanks are either dead or just been horrid roared with no huge hate JA's up.

[Success is develping a great group of friends that come to realize that with some teamwork, together you can accomplish anything this game throws at you. Its not just the good times, but that bad times and how you handle them that define success. Just because somone kills fafnir does not make them a success. If only it were that easy.

So if you wanna keep rambling on and make up random facts and say my E Body is not really mine, I really dont give a damn. Keep at it. We're the flavor of the month, and ever claim we have suddenly turns into we've claimed 1234513465 fafhoggs in a row. To be honest, Its pretty damn funny watching you guys make up all these random figures. Especially the WYS posts. Those just made me lol. Kinda curious if hes completely full of shit, or just 50/50.

Anyways, to say our success is "nothing without our bots," thats just insane, and a slap in the face of any LS that has ever been successful without killing alot fafhoggs or done anything worthwhile outside of DA.
 
I hate to keep posting, but I'll say this one last thing: On MSN, you can change your name to whatever you like. It's not a set user name, like AIM...unless they have changed it within the years since I stopped using MSN. So sure someone can create a new screen name for AIM, but since Tag admitted it, there's no using that excuse. That is all.
 
MSN chatlogs are nice and all ... but why not use a different Instant Message median that the user cant change the name of the person they are chatting with? Oh say AIM and have it posted by someone not previously kicked from the shell. I think this is what most of our ls members are sick of hearing about. I can be chatting with Sister Theresa of St. Mary's Church and talking about something innocent. Snipe the convo where it can be misconstrude and change the name to DirtySanchez and no one is the wiser.

Back in the day it was also harder to kill stuff. You are also confusing the words SKILL and SUCCESS.

Success is accomplishing what you set out to do. The goal of HNMs is to have fun and obtain rare pieces of equipment and improve. Fun can also be obtained through other ways. Everyone has fun, you can't say you have more fun than someone else. However you can say that you have better gear than someone else because you've done more things and tried more things and you helped more people get their gear. People who only play this game for fun, do not camp HNMs.

Killing tiamat with 18 people over using 40 is skill, not success. Killing tiamat period is success, which results in accumulated gear, and then we are back at looking at who has more gear.

You guys make it sound like if you have gear, you can't have fun. It's not an either or situation, both count, you just can't measure fun.

Chronicles is making an attempt to not post, because regardless of anything people will say, it'll do nothing to change the mind of the FB.

I've used EES as a monster popped as well, guess what happened? It didn't work. 2 hour abilities are no different than others. Timers are not reset, there is a cool down timer when trying to claim too early.
 
I don't know if I should be laughing or pitying anyone who doesn't think there's a cause for concern if they're being framed for something they didn't do. If he made even one attempt, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt, but after the PM, the chatlogs, and the posts... it's a wrap.

I'm not making the argument you are a major proponent of the BLM AF2 head, I'm simply drawing a parallel. I see a situational piece of gear that's being overused and is overrated. Just like people told me I didn't think much of AF2 head because I didn't have it... I have it now, it's resting snug in my storage until the day I'll have a use for it.

You're the one putting words in my mouth, by saying I'm calling it completely useless. It's not useless... but it's not what you're making it out to be. Besides... anyone who thought it was useless, probably wouldn't lot it/pay for the expensive cursed body.

It's a sort of strange proposition to throw at me... I know what it's stats are without having to own one. It's not like a car that I'm not sure if it stalls or not. I can imagine the process of getting 50 mp, losing 50 hp and getting a standard equipment-refresh bonus.
 
Guilty until proven innocent is the Flameboard way. Of course, there's no way to prove someone doesn't bot. I also don't see how it's such a big deal, since botting doesn't guarantee a claim either way. I'll admit that when I'm camping Fafhogg I can't always see Chronicles, but I'm guessing it pops near him plenty of times and he still doesn't claim it.

Personally, I'm very hesitant to call someone a cheater. I see plenty of HNM pop purple for me that other people were able to see yellow, and vice versa. Also take into account that are around 200 people in these zones during window and I don't care how good you think your PC or PS2 is, someone is gonna be lagging, even if just a little.

Also, with regards to Chainspell before pop, the person could have just taken a wild guess and tried it on window. Maybe they were leaving after that window and decided to take a chance. I didn't bother reading the whole thread so I apologize if that theory was already presented. But really, some coincidences seem incriminating but are still just a coincidence.
 
lol what could he have possibly said to change your mind? Its the flame board for christ sake, even when we post SS's and have alot of actual numbers they get ignored or some how misinterpretated. I know this. Chron knows this. Any person in our shell that reads the flameboard knows this. Not posting is a pretty obvious choice when dealing with the FB, because you really can't win. Its the mob mentality.

End-game isn't always that fun. People strive towards certain goals, it's
the same mentality that drives everyone towards goals. Sure you can have
fun, but this doesn't always take precedence. Don't tell me it's fun to camp
for hours at end every day. It doesn't have to be mutually exclusive, but
end-game is typically more centered towards success than fun. I think
a lot of people not participating in end-game activities have a lot more fun
than we do at times. I think that is just the hard reality.

Not going to say more regarding our Wyrm kills than we have done everything
we have set out to do, and I like to think we did it with a lot of skills after
many hard hours. In the end is is very satisfying.
 
Yeah, that's all very true, but you should probably tell him something about the PM's. Those don't exactly help his situation.
