The mule mithra that I killed was named Purrrfect (in Bastok) I had her for a good 5 monthes. Weird.

This was one of my favorite games in the early 80's... I used the name "Havoc" originally in Socom 1. When Socom 2 came out, I couldn't get the name again so I chose "Major Havoc". When I made my account for FFXI, I use the same name just incase I happened to run into other Socom buddies, so they might recognize me.

"Havoc" also happens to be my dogs name.

Well...Hapless Jezibel was too long -- and it's the nickname some of my friends tagged me with because...I tend to be a Hapless Jezibel..soo..Jezza - bam.

That and Goddess was taken..and Smartmouthedgoddess was way too long...

Marajade- Mara Jade, character from one of my favorite books, by Timothy Zahn.

not my first character, first was Syvaan, an elvaan RDM/WAR that got to lvl 20. my friends pushed me to make a mule with them. i originaly planned to taka Mara to 15 THF, and just farm backplates. well, got to 10 THF, said it sucked, and played syv to 20 (he was 16 when i made mara).

Then i went back to mara, but played war (because i had taken it to 18 with Syv). Got it to 10, but then a friend of mine wanted to party at lvl 1, so i hopped over to WHM, and lvled it. well, i kept going with it, all the way to 18, took BLM to 10, then WHM to 30 (yes, i was a 30WHM/10BLM)

wierd things happened, i unlocked all the jobs, and WHM somehow became 40.

i came back to THF, and now i'm as you see me.

Chops- used to be my main, until Curago came around and i had too much fun with him, anyways, it was a nick name i picked up with a job i used to do, and it seemed fitting for a Tarutaru

Evangellos-was tired, used the games name generator for my hume mule

Nova- This name was a tribute to a close friend of mine. He's a bit of a writer, and one of his favorite characters' name is Nova, so I wanted to use it, was surprised it was available.

Now my main guy, The Galka Hoobah Master, El Curago

Basically it started out as a LS joke, our LS captain was having a terrible night typing right, so instead of saying Curaga, she was saying Curago. We all found this very funny, and "El" was somehow added to it in the front to name "El Curago, Mexican Galka White Mage Super Hero" and for awhile it just stayed as a joke, untiil I needed my first mule. So I made El Curago, and just loved him playing MNK, and it stuck to this day :D
 
- My main character's name (Dillan) was derived via the auto-generator... I just couldn't think of anything... He is a male hume...

- My first mule is named Caladan after the Atriede's planet in Frank Herbert's Dune cause I was reading that book at the time... He is a male elvan

- My second mule is named Twinkletoes cause he is a Tarutaru... Need I say more? :lol:
 
I pulled Halifirien at random from the index of The Lord of the Rings. I probably should've chosen a shorter and non-elvish name, but I'm used to it now and most people call me "Hali" in the game.

My bazaar mule is named Zocalo because I'm a big fan of Babylon 5 and thought it would be appropriate to name him after a marketplace.
 
lol Don't worry Halifirien my name is Kurgon and I usually get refered to as Kur or Kurg. In EQ2 my characters are Gelgamesh (people call me Gel or Gelg) and Mercambus (again Mer or Merc). I've discovered that if you want someone to type out your name all the time you will have to pick a one sylable (sp) name.
 
My real name is Scarlett, but there was someone on the game by that named, so I added an e and the end so now is

Scarlette 8)

The week before I started playing, I made a large list of names, and this one looked cool. I started my character, and I remember hearing this name in anime, and I asked one of my japanese friends if "Jinnai" was an actual japanese name, and it is. and Bodhidarma(Izanamiku) told me what it means, and it means "The person/people that aren't there/don't exist", makes a really good ninja name :D which just so happens to be one of my favorite jobs...

Le Centre Pompidou is a French shopping center with lots of glass and escalators. It was named after a notable French general that I never learned about. Either way, it's a fairly well known landmark, on par with the Eiffel Tower and Louvre. Before I got the game, I made two wrong assumptions - that roleplaying would be dominant (almost mandatory), and that Redmage/Bard was a viable job combo. I wanted to be a French Musketeer type, with a beret and a rapier, talking like Pepe Le Pew with rampant taru-speak thrown in for good measure. All that remains of my plans is a French /check comment, and the occasional roleplaying outburst outside of parties.
 
main- Chunny- My last name with a -y on the end =P

Mule- Chunn- my last name plus what my friends call me. Before i created my mule, i wanted to use this name for my main character but it was already taken ><

Main charachter is Direwolf, No it is NOT from Mech Warrior, never played the game, they where a real animal abck in the ice age, Wolves the size of horses and a good deal smarter then regular day ones. I love wolves in generel so w/e.

Most people jsut call me Dire so that explains why they are not somethingwolf instead.
 
Mine came from an old EverQuest warrior I made years after my Cleric had been maxed out with all the horse shit we spend years raiding for. His name was Fyrus. I wanted Iris or Eyris or some other catchy, sexy, style-ish name for about 10 seconds until I kept repeating it to myself. The more I did the more the name began to annoy me. I realized I'd be stuck with this name for what could be a long, long time. So I changed the first few letters around at random in the name generator until Fyrus popped on.

Fyrus was what folks in EQ called a "twink". He had great gear for his crap level (20ish I think) but alas, my EQ "skills", if you can call them that, were with the Cleric. I left him largely untouched until the day I quit EQ for FFXI. He always had a special place in my charatacter select screen :)

So like any jackass would do, I made my main toon for FFXI Fyrus. Perhaps to ease myself into a new MMORPG. The MJ was Warrior until I learned how different from EQ FFXI was. I changed it to Thief after buying a brady(OMFG NO!) strat. guide. A change was made. Thus Fyrus the Thief/War, hopefully THF/NIN someday was born.

CrookedMidget: Well, I wanted to be a BLM, and knew I was going to be a Taru. A spark ignited between my last 2 brain cells, and CrookedMidget was born.
 
When I first started this game, I played a galka monk named Hurtmore up to 14 (funny now since there's a taru whm running around named Healmore)... I decided I didn't want to be galka because mp would suck if I ever played an mp job, so I created a new character... *drumroll*

Elvaan white mage (good job, mp!) named Euphacent that was generated by the auto name generator... then I decided elvaan look stupid when casting white magic and their necks are too long, so I recreated Euphacent as a hume. :)

On the net I've always gone as blazemore (and before, back in the bbs days with modems and 386's and all that stuff). In Quake 3 I play as: bailey (or JustinBailey), PetitLove, keyboard only. :)
