Name

My name comes from the flower called camellia in japanese. Tsubaki. But it was taken and since I have a thing for adding z to s" sounds, (tsu sounds like "su") I made it Zubaki. I like naming my characters after flowers in japanese since the strongest samurai families, esp. that of the Tokugawa have flowers for their crest. However, ayame, kiku, sakura are overused in lots of japanese anime unlike tsubaki. Also, its the name of my favorite samurai hero from the chanbarra Kurosawa flick Tsubaki Sanjurou (Camellia 30 year old something, false name, see the movie to understand where I am coming from this). As most ppl know on the server I am a die-hard samurai fanatic ^^.
 
I didn't post anything on this thread as I knew deep within the vault of the General Discussion forum I rememered a thread just like this. And I finally found it.. so thus, im just going to copy/past my post from there.

Yays a subject I have something to say about.

Ecks is a character name I made up.. *thinks back* .. i believe it was durring the summer before my 9th grade year. *Figuring out the years now* That would have been the summer of 1996. Me and a friend of mine were playing some ghetto D&D, I say ghetto because we didnt really know how to play and were basically just goofing off outside. When it came time to think of a character I decided I would be a hobit, and named my character Ecks Hobit and I was gonna be a ninja. I liked ninja's at the time, and a cool ninja name to me would be X but since hobits were fantasy creatures I decided to spell out the sound of the letter X. (Yeah, that was genius. Razz) I also played a lot of Mega Man X, loved X in that game and the next 3 that eventually followed. (everything after 4 was trash)

In 9th grade I found a group of people that really played D&D durring the lunch period we had. Still used the idea of my Ecks Hobit ninja guy, but this time changed his race to be a Spriggan Gnome thanks to the D&D monster manual. The guys i played with were cool enough to allow me to be that.

To futher elaborate how the name Ecks came about, some time before this durring the previous school year I was doing some homework and got bored. I started taking the letters of the alphabet and spelling out the sound of each letter. B - bee, I - eye, J - jay, X - ecks, etc. etc.

A few years later durring 11th grade a friend I had got me into mudding, playing MUD's (multi user dungeons). I started playing a new MUD called Ancient Realms, after about a few weeks lots of people started playing it and then they started pking like crazy.. and it never stopped. I hated it, so I stopped playing and entered the mix of ... AOL chatrooms and did some rather extra ciricular RP and joined a wacked out group of people who did this kind of RP/cyber crap.

At the time i had fun doing it, and it did allow me to learn how to RP better because some of the people I rp'd with were, believe it or not, pretty good. lol Anywho thats old news, but I had been using the name Ecks the whole time there and eventually changed his last name to Kusinagi (may be misspelled but it was from watching Blue Seed at the time).

After I quit that I got back into mudding and this time found quite a few nice RP muds that had some Pk in them. Durring this time i developed my rp skills a lot and changed Ecks's last name again to Grimoirath, which I still used to this day because i love the sound of it and it feels right. I played rp muds all durring my 12th grade year (99-00) it was basically like how i am with FFXI now, on whenever i wasnt doing anything else. I only actually played a total of 2 really good muds that both unfortunately went to crap because of a few really stupid players. *sigh*

The Ecks I created on the first mud was a high elf necromancer and I started writting stories about him, short stories but stories none the less. I still have them too. Very Happy And I posted them on the MUD in its rp section.

I managed to carryover the original story about Eck Grimoirath in the second of the two muds and got lots of great feedback from the other players who rp'd and even those who didnt (rp wasnt manditory, but well enjoyed). I had to change his race to Dark Elf, as High Elf wasnt a race on that mud, but I remained a Necromancer and changed parts of my origial story to go with Ecks's new form.

I had lots of fun, and now i have this whole character in my head that I could eventually write books about if i choose too, but my dream is to one day make and rpg using my character as the main character. (If i ever get filthy rich, you can bet your arse im buying off some Squaresoft employees to help me complete my dream).

I use Ecks on pretty much everything I play now, he is my avatar, alter ego in fantasy, and pretty much embodies everything I can't do in this real world of ours.

I would like to thank those that actually took the time to read through this ludicrisly long post of mine. Maybe you can understand now why when someone has a "Where's Sever" comment, I tend to get so pissed off at times. Other times i just sigh and ignore, or if the persons willing & patience, I try to explain the background. Thats that. ><;;

High School Girlfriends name was Audrey and I used to call her Aud alot. Spell Aud backwards and you get Dua. ;p
 
pandas.. lazy.. perpetualy stoned.. very few of them left.. can only mate at certain times of the year.. very cute but very vicious when provoked.. eat up to 16 hours a day.. really just eating shitting and sleeping machines..

back when i was teh big pothead a friend of mine called me a panda once.

Sanoske - from Sanosuke(aka Zanza: Figther for Hire) from the Rurouni Kenshin anime series. I found out there was a samurai class and a sword named Zanbato(Sano's sword in the show) so I figured it fit! Plus I thought there would be too many Himura, Battousai, Kenshin names already.

Suikodan(mule) - part of a Ninjustu technique from another anime called Naruto(awesome show!). The whole name is Suiton:Suikodan no Jutsu which rough translates to something like Water: Water Shark Missle I had just watched an episode with that technique so I thought it would sound cool.
 
Seiken Densetsu 3, one of the 6 playable characters - Duran, based on his Dark class in the class change that exists in the game (hence the Dark at the start).

I had my kicks when my brother named his character and went running around in this digital world, so when i started playing i just had to splice my name with the "taru" in it

Funny enough my JP friends who are connected with one another insist on calling me "An" for short, and when greeting my brother and i, they usually say something like "Hello! An & Drew". Funny eh ?
 
All of my names are actually "stolen" from my cousin. She thinks of name, after name, after name, that she use for different things. And don't worry, I DID ask for permission first XD

Went on ski trip with church youth group a few years ago, and claxton instead of clayton was on the paperwork to rent skiis. Name stuck.

My real name is Sean Wauz :).I have long messed up eyebrows and everytime i grow my hair long and Gel my hair,my hair and eyebrows give a wolfish look. "Wolverine" was (and is) also my favourite in x men.I call my girl friend "sky" sometimes too.so i came with wolfsky and added moon to it cuz of the wolf/moon connection :) .I have wolfskymoon in aol yahoo msn xbox live counter strike world of warcraft POl americas army and half life2.
 
Ecks have good writing skills :) first time i read so much on a single post but i wasnt bored till the end 8)

Just my real name. I usually use Orchid as my charactername but it was "taken" although i've never seen an orchid online on quetz. I've been Astrafiammante which means Starqueen or Night queen before, but it was too long. I'd really like to use Death someday as I absolutely adore Neil Gaiman's Sandman series, but either its a Prohibited (re: game designer only) name or its taken in the first 10 choices by the ppl who first get the game and I never get it. So Nicolette it is.
 
Got Doumoon from G-Gundam. In EQOA Domon was taken so i changed it a bit, then carried name over to FFXI after EQOA.

Langli - Mithra - MNK
Status: Current Main Character, RP
Langli's name was basically a play on Asuka Langley Soryu from Neon Genesis Evangelion (Whoo anime >>). However Langley was taken, so I made it look a little more Chinese looking and made her a Monk. Whoo.

Armi - Hume - RDM/SMN
Status: Semi-retired, only used to level with friends, rp, or play SMN XD
Armi is a play on "Armachia" (Pronounced Armashia...I don't know why the C is there really...), a character from Vampire: The Masquerade (Table Top RP! Whoo! >>) that I ADORED having. She, however, was a big ol bi-otch. So in order to soften the name up, I shortened it to Armi.

Bimbimgus - Tarutaru - WHM
Status: Secondary Character, RP
When I was still married, my husband started the game as a tarutaru named Gimgimgus. Well, this caught on in the ls after awhile. We had Limlimgus, Pimpimgus, Funfungus, Bimbimgus, Kikigus, and Fimfimgus. The Gus family was hilarious and ran around being dumbasses in Windurst. Sadly, Bimbimgus is the only survivor.

Lokee - Hume - WHM
Status: Mule, RP
Now, most of yall are thinking "Trixster God!" Well yeah, thats obvious... but Lokee actually comes from another character of mine from a RP story called "Unizen". Lokee was a space pirate and pretty freakin awesome, so I made her on FFXI as soon as I got it (Was my first character on Fenrir, then moved to Q and made Armi)

Rysis - Hume - WAR
Status: Secondary Mule, RP, sometimes I want to be a man :/
Heading back to Vampire: The Masquerade. Rysis was the man who made Armachia into a vampire, but after awhile he just became Armachia's lapdog. So it made sense when I needed another mule, so name him after Armachia's biatch.
