Your Top Five

Well, there's certainly a LOT of great games in this thread. Here's a set that are among my absolute favorites.

5. Dark Cloud 2 - PS2: A somewhat lesser known RPG. For anyone who hasn't played this, I strongly recommend at least a rental to give it a try. It is truly a fun game. 2 characters to play as, bonus outfits, good real-time battle system, and LOTS of great mini-games/side quests (except Spheda... Damn you Spheda! It's like miniature golf, only it hates you). On top of all this, you get a robot named Steve. How great is that?

4. Banjo-Kazooie - N64: This game is just pure, stupid fun. Good graphics by the standard of the time, great platforming (up there with (Super Mario 64) and a funny world of characters.

3. Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker - GC: Some people don't enjoy the "Toon Link" stylization, but personally I found it fun and whimsical. The real draw on this this LoZ game is that the story is just incredible. I like this better than Ocarina and Twilight Princess.

2. Final Fantasy Tactics - PS/PSP: Fantastic game and I'm sorry, but the Advance versions don't even come close to holding a candle to the original. Great story, all the classes you could ever want and more. Is it really a surprise to see this on a FFXI players list? And now that it's portable? Even better, it can consume my life on the go!

1. Legend of Mana - PS: I'm not sure I've ever stopped playing this game. More like taken a month or two off here and there. Between making your own weapons and golems, mastering techniques, raising pets, harder difficulties there's tons to do. The only real deficiency is lack of a main driving story. LoM is comprised of several small tales revolving around the characters you meet. If you're ok with that, then you'll have lots of fun.

As for what I'd most like to see remade? There really hasn't been an honest effort in any of the latest Mana series games. Maybe SE is too focused on the FF franchise, but I'd like to see another Mana of calibur of the SNES and PS versions.
