I'm sure there's a thread in here wiht the same title and theme, but I either risk necro'ing or duping(lol).

Either way it's time for a new thread.

Here's the twist.. Pick your absolute top five favorate games, list an explaination as to why you thought they're so good, THEN pick one, and explain how you're either remake it, or add a sequel. Anyone can do a top ten, can you narrow your choices down to only 5?

To start:

5: Quake III Arena, before there was FFXI, there was Rocket Arena. RA3, was not only a Quake mod, it was a culture. And it was a game that rested entirely on cheating by not cheating. Manipulating the physics engine to do shit it wasn't supposed to was an artform. Quake brough "Professional Gaming" into the mainstream. It wasnt about how many kills you got, it was about HOW you played. Lob a grenade to where you want to set up an escape, avoid a rail, fire a rail switch to a rocket launcher, jump, shoot the ground where you placed the grenade, and get shot into next teusday, switch to plasma gun and climb up the wall you landed near to lock yourself in a hard to get to corner... Only to find someone elses' Genade waiting for you there... Duels, and most of all, honor... You pull out your Gauntlet, it was go time, and no one fucked with you if you were going mano-a-mano. Rules were simple, No Aim bots, no wall hacks, no chat fragging. EVERYTHING else goes. And deaths were celebrated with the same excitement as a good kill. Food was tossed at Lans, people were loud, pot was smoked, beer and jolt were drunk, the highest scoring people wer duct taped to server racks along wiht the newbs, and everyone had fun. Not like those creepy methed out counterstrike freaks mumbling quietly into thier headsets only to erupt into fits of forehead vein bursting rage that resulted in the death of a mouse ; ;

4: Castlevania Symphony of the Night: Late to the game, and while everyone was struggling with designing 3D games, out of fucking nowhere comes SotN. Unquestionably the best side scroller game of any genre. It must have over a thousand items you could find. The only ding I give this game, and its a massive one, is the level at which you can cheapen the game, once you got one crissagrim, you very quickly got a second, and once that happens, the game's over lol. all other weapns aren't worth hunting for, and all armor becomes moot for nothing lives longer than 11 seconds tops, that's including the final boss. THe only reason I dn't rate this game higher however, is that it's too easy to memorize for some reason. I can pick it up and go through it in a day with little to no mystery as to where to go and what secrets there are.

3: Metroid Prime: I'd have picked Super Metroid, But I really feel for THAT kind of fix, I go to Castlvania. Metroid prime is amazing. This is the first game that brought FPS to the game console and did it right. The puzzles were exceptional, and never tedious or repetative. The only ding I give this game was the hints. If they left out the buzzing items made when you were close, this game would have been that much harder and that much more challenging. I do understand why they did it, but I also find it insulting. If I was 8 years old and had to cluelessly bumble through metroid one, kids these days could enjoy a real challenge... The boss fights could take a bit more polishing too just to make em a bit less "find the pattern" and a little more combat. (TO note they made bosses a lot more interesting tin Prime 2)

2: Guardian Legend: Obscure? Sure... THis game was on the Demo Kiosk at the video game store. Everyone thought it was just a virtical scroller shooter. And it was!, however 2/3 of the game was spent doing RPG type stuff. this game was amazing, it mixed an awesome shooter with and amzing arsonal, and a pretty decent RPG. Boss fights were no joke, either on the 'world map' or in the flight zones.

1: Final Fantasy VI: Best of them all, I STILL play this game to this very day. The freedom this game offers is amazing, unlike most other FF games this one was really non-linear. almost to a fault. I was one of the lucky bastards that didn't know about the second half of the game, and spent nearly 2 weeks straight leveling up and stealing Genji Gloves for every member of my group, boy was I suprised that there was a whole other half to the game... The amount of useful gear and more importantly the amount of secret stuff, hacks, cheats, exploits, and such made this game's replay value amazingly high. I think the best feature of the game was all the consiquences involved. If you leveled with one esper, you get one stat, and will never get a chance to get a different stat. The sense of permanence hung over your every action.

I'd like to see Guardian Legend remade with current tech. Do a closer blending of when you switch between jet mode and surface mode. Utilize a full 3D 'dogfight' type arial battles in FPS/Flight Sim mode, and transition back to an over the shoulder Slash & Shoot while in the 'surface mode'. Like Castlevania Lament of innosence meets Lock On.

1) Blaster Master - NES - The tank controls are fluid, each level has a wildly different environment, and it has one of the best NES soundtracks out there. There's plenty of exploration. I also love that you can climb out of the tank and run around on foot.

2) Final Fantasy IV - SNES - I'd had my RPG cherry popped by the Dragon Warrior games on the NES, but Final Fantasy IV was the one that took me to dinner, acted all gentle and treated me right. I loved the characters, the music, and the storyline. It's one of the few RPGs I've played multiple times because I go back to it like a beloved novel.

3) Bionic Commando - NES - You swing around with an arm grappel. How cool is that? There are different weapons, kooky environments, and you get to watch Hitler's head explode. I played it to death and still like it. The recent remake is nice, but I keep going back to the original.

4) Half-Life 2 - Multiplatform - My favorite shooter, and the one I keep coming back to over and over again. The game is perfectly paced, with quiet moments to catch your breath before running into the next firefight. There are puzzles, a great storyline, and just plenty of variety. When I got to the ending of Episode 2, I was ready to tear down the world.

5) Resident Evil - PS1/DS - The formula was refined and the dialogue got a hell of a lot better in later chapters (and the entire thing was revamped on the Gamecube to great effect), but the blocky original is the one I play most often. The atmosphere works on every level, making me feel sorta creeped out even though by now I know exactly where every zombie and hunter is located.

As for remakes, it's not something I have to worry about because most of the games on my list have already been remade. I loved the Gamecube remake of Resident Evil more than the recent Bionic Commando port, if that helps.

A top 5 favourite games huh? Ok, I'll bite. Btw, It may be a good idea to make it ONE GAME PER FRANCHISE so that the list is more epic.

Number 5: Gears of War. Xbox 360.

Believe it or not, I absolutely loved playing this, especially when playing split screen co-op. It was a satisfying game. Aside from the RPGs, this game is probably the only reason why I own a 360. It was genuinely fun, especially ripping apart the locust with the lancer while laughing manically (Yes I'm creepy like that =P)

Number 4: Tales of Symphonia. Nintendo Gamecube.

This was a fun game for the 'Cube. It was my first taste of the Tales of franchise and it certainly won't be my last. The characters were really fun to play as, the plot was compelling, the combat system was interesting and the world was beautiful. The music was especially wonderful as well. It's a shame though that this game is really rare now because not that many copies were sold in England as it seems. Some used copies of Symphonia go up for around £50 on eBay.

Number 3: Super Mario 64. Nintendo 64.

The first game I played on my Nintendo 64 was a stunning taste of how 3D gaming would come to be. The controls were great, the music fitted each of the worlds, the environments were colourful and enjoyable, and overall, it's the best platformer ever made. Nothing will ever be as good as SM64 when it comes to platformers, NOTHING!

Number 2: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Sony Playstation 3.

I think it's safe to say that Naughty Dog will never make a bad game for Sony, For PS1, they made Crash Bandicoot (Which the newer games will never live up to imo), They made Jak and Daxter on PS2, and now, we have Uncharted. Uncharted was a fun action game that had a very fun main character, an interesting British Villain, and ALOT of lush jungle areas. It just goes to show that an action game nowadays doesn't have to be gun metal grey, dirt brown, and have a ridiculous amount of blood and gore to be beautiful.

Number 1! Final Fantasy IX. Sony Playstation.

The best game on the PS1. After the two futuristic sci-fi FF games, Sakaguchi decided to make IX a return to classic FF concepts of swords, chivalry, everything that made FF fun back in the day. The characters were really compelling and fun, the combat was classic and fun, the environments wee interesting and fun, the music was fun and double fun fun, and the plot was epic and fun. FUUUUUUN!!!! Do I really need to say anything else? As much as I love FFVI, FFIX hold a bigger place in my heart =3

That last line was so cheesy.

I'll start with some honorable mentions, cause this is really tough:

10. Vanguard: Saga of Heroes (PC) -

best raid gameplay in an any MMO (eq/wow/whatever doesn't hold a candle to VG raid mechanics), beautiful world, feeling of "adventure" from EQ1 is partially restored in this game. Bugs and junk keep it from being higher on the list, but still worthy of my favs of all time list.

9. MLB '08: The Show (PS3) --

best baseball sim I've ever played. f the yankees.

8. Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3) --

obvious reasons, story, tying the other games together, graphics, gameplay etc

7. Bases Loaded (NES) -- classic. who the fuck knows what team you were playing for, but it was still addicting gameplay.

6. Metroid (SNES) --

SNES metroid was again, the best in it's series. SNES as a system was hands down the best system before PS3.

Now to the top 5:
----------------------------------------------------------

5. Super Mario Go-Kart (SNES)

Who didn't play this game for hours upon hours trying to stay on that goddamned rainbow road? Toad ftw.

Stop trying to remake it already. All the new versions have been lame compared to the SNES version.

4. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)

Best Zelda game of the bunch, hands down. Never have I cared so much for the welfare of Princess Zelda.

It's been remade countless times, so I don't need to go there.

3. Final Fantasy VI [3] (SNES)

Total freedom. Kefkha was an evil fuck. What more can you ask for??

Don't remake it.

2. Everquest 1 (PC)

You can't deny that this game was revolutionary for the time period and is still considered "the" experience in MMOs to this day. This game changed many people's lives-- for better or for worse. No MMO will ever be as good as EQ1 was in it's prime.

You can't remake EQ1 either, but any sequel would have to revive that "deer in the headlights" feeling that zones like Temple of Veeshan and Sleeper's Tomb evoked. I don't think anything can bring back the feeling of seeing Vox or Nagafen eat 60+ people for the first time.

1. Final Fantasy VII (PS1)

Best story, graphics (for the time), gameplay (materia system was made of win) etc for it's time. I can't think of a single game that has encompassed all aspects of video game development as well as FF7 did. Still the king imo, though FF3 is right up there too.

I'd remake it...

...for the ps3 so I can see that shit again in HD :D

This is indeed a tough one... Man so many games i loved are being bumped just so i can be very honest in this post. There are games i liked more then these 5.. These 5 just impacted me so much.

5. Halo 2- Tho not even the best game of the halo franchise... But.. This game by its self turned me into an internet fiend. I had only play FFXI online prior to Halo2.. After thousands and thousands of online matches i can say this game set the online gaming bar for me. Online gaming happens to be my number one reason to game now. Thanks Bungie, my girl friend hates you.

4. Castlevania Symphony of the Night- I mean this game is flawless. From incredible audio tracks through out... To a rediculous amount of enemies that vary in style... Something games today cant even handle. And my freaking god... Do i really need to mention how sick it was when you get to the end only to find that the castle flips over... WTF.

3. Golden Eye- I dont even know if i really liked this game. I can only say i was a serious athlete as a child and even into my 20s now i am not bad... This game has a serious place in my decomposition as an athlete. If not for this game and the rediculous amount of house parties it caused... Man... Turn the game on and all of a sudden 3 friends show up at the door.

2. Gran Tourismo 3 VSPEC?- I have likes cars since i was a child. I never liked car games as i felt they were too difficult. When i finally picked one back up it happened to be the best vehicle game ever created. FF7 has the title for the single player game i played the most and this is a very close second. I used to work at a chocolate shop as a 15 year old and open/close by myself... Little did my manager know that every day i was really playing 8 hours of GT3 behind our front desk.

1. Chrono Trigger- Hands down my favorite game. I can still play this game daily as a 24 year old. I am one of the fools who has been milked to death by this game. I have every single release of Chrono Trigger... Even a modded version on my pc thats all nuts and whatnot. I never liked RPGs due to a short attention span and a feeling inside that i would rather watch a movie instead of play it. This game completely reversed that feeling.

I thought about this for a while, and this is the best I could come up with:

1) Earthbound - SNES - I have played this game through rougly 10 times. I honestly have no idea what is so addictive about it, but there is no doubt that this is my numero uno. I love the style and system. I still play it like once a year. I remember staying up all hours of the night to beat it after renting it from Blockbuster three consecutive times.

2) Goldeneye - N64 - Like Osyris said, this was pretty much the pinnacle of multi-player action for me as well. 4 friends just going at each other for hours on end. I busted out the 64 a few weeks ago and we still had a fucking blast playing this. Single player was alright as well, with all the unlockable cheats and trying to beat certain stages in a set amount of time.

3) Legend of Zelda - Gameboy - One of the first games I played as a kid, it will always hold a special place in my heart. I remember 3-4 of us all playing during recess in elementary school haha. Awesome game.

4) Chrono Trigger - SNES - This game got me addicted to RPG's, and was the first Squaresoft game I had ever played. Everyone knows this one, so no real explanation necessary.

5) Madden (95-Present) - Multiplatform - Though I don't buy it every year anymore, I did for about 8 years. There is no other football game, or even sports game, that can compare to this. Bunch of friends, hangin out, having a few beers and trash talking each other playing Madden: A Timmy house tradition.

5. Deus Ex - The best shooter to date, the only thing it lacked upon release was a multiplayer and that was patched and it was pretty damn fun for the time :P but even so, even without multiplayer there were just SOO MANY paths to take in the game and the characters and story were just so great <3 I loved the conspiracy theory and I loved the gameplay. The skills and augments and yar :D made the FPS game so much better.

3. Final Fantasy 6 - The first FF I played iirc :P and still one of the best. The story, though I felt it was a little rushed at parts, was so great. The best villain of FF imo is in FF6 too :D love that crazy clown who's just bad. Great gameplay, great bosses, great world map, best music for the world map in any game and yar, just awesome

3. Final Fantasy 7 - Another great. I loved the characters (at least before AC and CC and such, they weren't emo or annoying in FFVII, just apathetic), story was great, one of the few games I really felt sad when a character died :( and the music was great too. Loved the Materia system.

2. Gothic - I can't really settle on which one, I'd say the entire series, but I think I liked the first the most. It was just so unique compared to other RPGs when I played it. The controls were unique, the story was unique, the hero was unique, the leveling/monsters were fun even if there wasn't an EPIC DRAGON but it was still fun. The branching story which had fun NPCs and such was just great, I <3 it so.

1. Xenogears - Best game for story/characters. They were so much more interesting than any of the games I've mentioned above and it was just so compelling to keep going. Its only fault was lack of gameplay on the second disk but that's Square's fault for pushing the development team. Best RPG evar!

No the FF6 and 7 thing is not a typo :P I just can't decide between which is my favorite, I <3 them both so.

As for a remake, I want Xenogears remade more than anything. Don't care if they upgrade the graphics, just as long as they complete the second disc with gameplay instead of what they had to do cause they were rushed by Square :(

Elemmire wins counting.

I forgot about Goldeneye and Chronotrigger (gasp) those could easily be in my top 5 as well.

Elemmire wins counting.

Maybe it was a tie?

In no particular order:

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Trilogy(Minus Warrior Withins grunting) - I played the original Prince of Persia way back in the early 90s. So I was excited for the released of the first of the trilogy. It really felt epic, the pinnacle of platforming and puzzle solving, with beautifully animated sequences and movements in fantastic backgrounds. Warrior Within strayed by focusing mostly on combat and the grisly look, but still kept you on your toes with puzzles, especially during the Dahaka chase sequences. The Two Thrones brougth back the whimsy of Sands of Time, and ended the trilogy amazingly:

"Most people say that time is like a river that flows swift and sure in one direction. But I've seen the face of time and I can tell you, they are wrong. Time is an ocean in a storm. You may wonder who I am or why I say this. Sit down, and I will tell you a tale like none of which you have ever heard." The opening narrative of the first game are the final spoken lines of the third, and I fucking loved it.

Katamari Damacy Series - Japaaaaaaaaan!

Oh wait holy shit this game is amazing. Rolling up your first human feels like a triumph, when for the last couple of hours, you're stuck rolling up pennies and thumbtacks. A soundtrack to fit the strange characters, plot, and gameplay blew this from your stereotypical "Weird Japanese Shit" to a phenomenal experience. Simple gameplay, but unworldly enjoyable.

Super Mario 64 - If you hate this game, you're lying or started gaming after 1996. It still sets the bar for 3D Mario games - nay, 3D Platforming in general - even after 12 and a half years and 2 console generations past. The winged cap is a bonafied
emot-aaa.gif
moment for anyone who played.

QuakeWorld Team Fortress - The mod that started it all. So many hours of my early teen years sunk in to this mod. The chaotic action, the perfect balance of the classes, the classic maps as they were originally designed. Unique gameplay for it's time. You know you've made something amazing when a company hires you to spearhead the making a commercial version and a critically acclaimed sequel.

Bubble Bobble - My childhood favorite, and indeed, still one of mine today. Over 100 unique levels was amazing then. Never have I beat it single player, but me and my brother have gone through it dozens of times.

This would be my 2, but I gotta tell you I'm so happy this was mentioned. I still can't find the port for the DS. :(

omg...

Bubble Bobble ftw! I totally forgot about that!

Good catch on the Blaster Master too, that game could be remade with newer tech too. There's so many angles you could go with it, even if you decided to keep it a side scroller.

5) Phantasy Star Online

This is somewhat of an honorable mention but I absolutely loved this game. I probably played over 1000 hours of it in it's glory days on the gamecube. One of very few games that I can easily say that I would go back and play it just as hardcore as I did years ago.

4) Chrono Trigger

Believe it or not, I only played this for the first time last year. Even so, easily the best turn based RPG I've ever played, and by far the best overall soundtrack. I had a blast getting all of the endings on the DS remake and will definitely be playing it for years to come.

3) Tales of Vesperia

A lot of people will disagree with me on this, but this is the best RPG I've ever played. I love the music, the battle system, the story line, everything about the game is amazing. The only thing that keeps this from being higher is the small lack of replayability. If this game had a big super dungeon and some superbosses, this would be #1 no contest.

2) Metal Gear Solid 4

This game immersed me for 2.5 months. Very long time for a offline story game. I had to do absolutely everything possible in this game just because of how fun it was. The storyline was amazing and nearly brought me to tears in several parts. Easily the best graphics I've seen in a video game until very recently (Killzone 2) and I've always been a long time fan of the Metal Gear series. I might be inclined to substitute this with MGS3, for similar reasons. Both amazing games.

1) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

This was the first immersive game I ever played. I played a lot of stupid stuff on the SNES when I was really small but I never really understood what was going on nor was there any real strategy involved in what I was doing in the game, so, in effect, this was the first real video game I played.

And easily, the best I've ever played. Everything about this game was perfect. I've played this game start to finish over 100 times in almost 13 years. Over 50% of my life span. I play through at least twice a year, every year, usually getting 100% every time. I've beaten every remake, port, or prequel and sequel of the Zelda series since playing this game and will continue for the rest of my, or the series lifetime solely because of this incredible game.

That was harder than I thought, took a long time to think these up, but no time to type out an explanation.

I'd love a 3D remake of A Link to the Past. Even if it's a romhack of Ocarina of Time.

I'd love a 3D remake of A Link to the Past. Even if it's a romhack of Ocarina of Time.

I heard somewhere a few months ago that they're actually considering this. It's Miyamotos all time favorite video game and he wants to do something with it again, something to that degree.

Maybe on the DS.

5) Chrono Trigger

FF and DQ people teaming up as "The Dream Team" with music composed by Yasunori Mitsuda was just an awesome experience. The characters, time travel storyline, robot and frog teammates, new game +, no random encounters, tech/combo ATB system. I loved everything about this game, and own every released iteration (in NA), and have played through each multiple times.

4) Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past

Best Zelda title imo, was my first introduction to the series (that I actually remember, was too young when the original NES ones released but got to those after I discovered the wonder of Zelda).
Loved the adventure, going from dungeon to dungeon, getting a new weapon/tool, progressing more in other areas with said item, just exploration and finding every secret in all nooks and crannies.

3) Suikoden II

If you want to see how to do an actual sequel that follows up the events from the last game, see this. Perfects everything from the original Suikoden, with some awesome recurring characters, and an upgraded war system, with the 108 stars intact and thensome.

Luca Blight is just maddeningly insane it's awesome, and that epic battle against him, starting with the war battle, then having to send 3 waves of your group in a vicious battle, then you have to fight him in a one on one duel, then he only falls when your army pegs him full of arrows. $100+ on Ebay for good reason.

2) Final Fantasy VI

My favorite FF, and one of my favorite RPG's of all time, I loved the large amount of teammates you could get, the storyline, the steampunk-esque world, the music, the villians (Kefka is great), the ATB, esper leveling.

Like others back in the day I thought the Floating Continent was the end, but I was surprised in the World of Ruin, and seeing the despair, the life, the sadness of everyone there, because literally Kefka did what every villain wants to do, destroy the world.

1) Dragon Quest V

My favorite RPG, my favorite DQ (which is my favorite rpg series), and my favorite game of all time. Originally (along with DQVI), not released in North America, but has been remade for the DS and is coming stateside in 10-11 days.

The storyline is what did it for me, you start as a kid, traveling with his Father. Eventually you grow into an adult, get married to one of two wives you choose (three in the DS version), and each has their own strengths/weaknesses and spells they learn. You have children who end up traveling with you like you did with your Father in the past. The kids stats/spells are not affected by their Mother, but their hair color does change.

Had monster recruiting which predated pokemon, not complex by any means. You fight a monster (not all monsters can join), win, and at the end of the battle it may rise up and ask to join you. They are controllable, level up, and can equip weapons, armor and accessories (depends on the monster on what they can equip) like regular human characters. Some have caps of 15, 20, but most can level up to 99. There was around 40 monsters in the Super Famicom version, 70+ in the DS remake.

DQ creator's favorite DQ title for good reason, and finally NA and EU will get to play it without needing to import or play the ROM.

1. Radiant Silvergun - Sega Saturn

I've always loved space shooters. With this one as hands down the best. The levels were beautiful the different shooting combinations were great. The sword attack is brilliant. I've probably played more of this game than i have of any other game.

2. Disgaea 1 - PS2/PsP/DS

Before i played this game i thought that Final Fantasy Tactics was the end all be all tactics game. When i played this game my mind was completely blown. From the customization of teams to unlocking more and more different job types and starting all over again. It has been a goal of mine since i bought this game to beat Baal, which i finally did just the other day.

3. Lunar - PS1

An awesome RPG. I've always thought that Working Designs made awesome games, but this series really took the cake for me. The fact they included some forgotten realms characters only made it more awesome for me. The characters were great, story was awesome, and completely blew all the final fantasy's out of the water for me.

4. Megaman 2 - NES

Personal favorite megaman. With a close second as megaman 9. One of the games that defined my childhood. I always did Metalman first. I'll always remember Flameman's disappearing block puzzle. I'll always hate Flashman's instant kill beams while you are falling. I'm sure many other people will always remember those sounds and associate it with some of the most frustrating moments in gaming history.

5. Pokemon Red - GameBoy

The game that did define my childhood. I got red and my brother got blue. I tried getting my brother's oddish for so long, i ended up trading him my charmander i wanted it so bad. Of course now i realize that, that was the most terrible idea, but when you've got an itch for oddish, it must be fulfilled. He had my charmander and a bulbasaur. I trained that oddish so strong he ending up beating all of my brother's pokemon, including Alakazam. That was an awesome day.

3. Lunar - PS1

It was a no-brainer purchase for me. I played the Sega CD game to death, and the PS1 remake was even better. The GBA port was passable, but I try to pretend the DS version doesn't exist.

I really should track down a copy of the sequel, Eternal Blue. I borrowed it from a friend but never got a chance to finish it.

5.Global Gladiators - Sega Megadrive - I was recently reminded of this in another thread, great game, wasted alot of time/money on this when i was younger. For some reason i didn't buy a copy of the game I just rented it for weeks every weekend.

4.Advent Rising - Xbox - Full of glitches when I played it, which was a shame because the 3rd person action was awesome and i enjoyed the characters & story.

3.FFXI - PC - Lets be honest, I've put more hours into this than every other game I've ever played, combined I'd imagine. Sometimes I hate it, other times I love it but i can't leave it off the list.

2.Gun - Xbox - Best western shooter I've ever played, loved everything about it from the fast paced action to the "quick draw" mini games, final boss annoyed the crap out of me though, I remember dying wayyyyyyy too many times that guy <_<. It makes the feeling even better when you finally beat it though.

1.Fahrenheit - Xbox - The whole game was based around 3rd person exploration of the areas, and used quicktime events for the action sequences. This is by far my favorite game of all time, I loved it and still enjoy playing it through. I have 2 memories from my first play through, playing a "flashback" scene, where you had to sneak around a military base as a child - possibly the single most frustrating part of the game, it made me want to throw my controller at the screen but it was worth it in the end! The second part I remember is a "fight" on a rooftop that required insanely accurate timing in order to progress. It was only after that battle the story really took off and it took me a fair while to get past it, but the game only got better from that point on.

Looking at the list I didn't realize i was such a big fan of third person shooters lol.

As far as game remakes go... idk remakes tend to suck, because you have such fond memories of the first time they were released and they never quite measure up. I guess I'd like to see a sequel to Fahrenheit, but I'm afraid they'll fuck it up :/.

4.Advent Rising

I played this game religiously for so long. I really wanted that $1,000,000 giveaway they had for playing it. When i started the game i hated it, but by the time it was done, there were some really cool happenings.
