Looking to upgrade my video card for the new wave of PC games coming out. Currently running a Geforce 7900 GT 256mb card on an ASUS p5e motherboard with windows xp home edition. Would this card - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150289 - be able to run with my other...

Topic. I reformatted my pc today, didn't change OS or anything but had to reinstall drivers as expected. Now FFXI looks like absolute shit. worse than my old pc, where as it looked top notch before. I'm using the same drivers, what's the fucking deal?

If so, Id much appreciate it if I could get a PM of it :)

Didn't think I would ever have to ask for some help on this, I'm an arrogant bastard when it comes to hardware. Anyway, as of a few hours ago I was infected with a rootkit that seems to have caused problems with several things. Not a problem, cleaned that off of the pc easily. Unfortunately for...

Looking to improve my own as cheap as possible because...just about everyone else's pictures that come out look a lot clearer than my own. Can anyone give the cheapest bang-for-your-buck card that'd give me the closest quality without having to dish out 150~ or less? Is it better to buy them...

I will be moving to the PC on wednesday officially and I need some help on which new video card to buy. My comp is pretty old and I cant run benchmark lol. The minimum requirements calls for GeForce or Radeon 9000 but recomended calls for GeForce. I dont really care about graphics, as long as...

For a while now I've been having a problem with my video card that's been driving me insane. Around 30 or 40 minutes of playing XI (this is just a guesstimate but it seems around that time area.) A lovely blue screen of death pops up and I get to restart my laptop. It's the same thing each time...

Well, I was having a problem for a while with what I thought was my computer overheating. My monitor would freeze for a moment, and then my FFXI window would close. It used to happen like once a day, so I got over it. Now it seems to happen more and more often. In Dynamis, Besieged, and EXP...

Since I've joined many beautiful signatures have definitely caught my eye and sparked my interest to use that Adobe Photoshop that's been collecting pixelated dust for awhile. I'm no by no means a pro at this at all. All feedback is appreciated, and all constructive criticism helps. <33 I'm...

Well I am getting sick off my intergrated sound off my 680i so it's time to buy a sound card. The last sound card I had was a SB Audigy value. I am running Logitech Z5500 5.1 sound system with a pair of razer barracuda head phones. I play a lot of FPS like CS:S, Battlefield yadda yadda just...

I'm making a new PC build and my budget for a video card is about $160. Being an NVIDIA man, I'm naturally looking at their mid range 8 series cards, the 8600s. What I'm finding is that they're having a hard time comparing to the higher end 7 series cards, and DX10 isn't really impressing...

I'm a computer noob, and I need someone's help badly. Over time, my computer resolution has been screwing up. The screen would go really big and look jumbo size, and quickly go back to normal after seconds. It usually happends when I open FFXI. Now today, I got an error message. I forget what it...

Long time no see folks. Your friendly neighborhood ex-BST here. I've come to a bit of a hitch in the road, and I was hoping some of you may be able to help me. Especially seeing as some of you are much more into the computer scene than I am, and would be better able to recommend to me the best...
