2009 E3 thread

PS3 exclusive consolewise they said, but pc=/=console so I'm sure it'll be coming on for the PC.
Does look to have the same races as FFXI as well, wondering if character transfers or w/e would be available.
 
I would almost agree with Gerry if 14 wasnt MMO...

Well it's a good thing you'll have two other Final Fantasy games to play while waiting for XV. It looks like they're trying to appeal to those who want XI updated -and- those who want the more solo experience.
 
Oh god I'm crying with the FFXIV announcement, sooo happy =')

Edit: It is Vana'diel so I'd assume there would be the same races.

I'm hoping that for FFXIV that they take an approach similar to PSU in that there's an offline mode AND and online mode. I've always dreamed of having access to an offline vana'diel....

It said a place beggining with E......Eporia.... or something lol. I didn't take note of it coz I was too excited after the FF13 video!

Next year too, they kept that well under wraps. Good job SE.

Edit: If you think about it, they have already explained the story of Vanadiel it would only make sense to start something fresh in my eyes.

So have I, I'd kill for an offline version of FFXI, hopefully they do this in FFXIV.

I wish more MMO creators would do this :\ but I can understand how difficult it would be... ah well :(
 
Ok, this is it. Buying a PS3 like, tomorrow. But won't it kinda suck when it first comes out? What with it only being on PS3 do you think there will be enough players? Well I'm guessing they are gonna advertise a lot more so maybe it will.
 
Anyway, I was busy so I didn't get to post my thoughts on Nintendo, but man...
what a letdown. They packed everything good in those last twenty minutes, and the only game I'm really looking forward to is Other M. Hell, playing Fusion sparked my interest in the story between Samus and Adam, and to finally learn what exactly happened? Hell yeah.
Sony's really upping their presentation though. Obviously FF14 caught a lot of us on this board by surprise, and I'm sure a lot of us would be willing to make the transfer. But I do have to say that, with the presentation as a whole, Sony won the conference wars. Nintendo's was just... disappointing, and Microsoft's, while impressive, really doesn't top this.
And I'm saying this knowing that I haven't been much of a Sony fan since the release of the PS3.
 
As long as they have Galkas I don't give a shit xD
 
I'm also thinking the new control coupled with the Eye toy looks really fun! Can think of plenty of ways to use that!

Well, even if it takes place in a different location, doesn't mean it won't be in the same universe/planet/whatever. I mean, we know for a fact that there's at least the southern Mithra region, the western Elvaan homeland, and the northern Orcish homeland, as well as the oft-referred to Far East, but what about beyond those?
 
This racing game is freaking sweet lol..

Maybe, but I don't think this will kill FFXI, so they might chose to leave FFXI and expand on all that still in the XI universe...

Just waiting for a rip of that video appear so I can examine it, it was all too fast...
 
LBP racing is definitely a win imo :P weapons + racing is better than just pure boring racing and making your own shit is fun :D

I'll agree with that, I thought he made a speaking error and we were about to see Versus XIII. Big surprise there.
