so it is safe to assume that the reward from other 2 mini expansions going to be similar? maybe hand and leg

I wouldnt say "Dicks all over Valor as much as i hate to say it"

It would become my /NIN piece and straight tanking piece.(basically due to the +1 enmity, +5 VIT is side bonus) With the kind of stuff I tank, I dunno how much accuracy would really help me, but it would help me none the less. I think Fast Cast would be a better route for me.

However I will retract my last comment because you are right, thats an oversite of mine didnt even consider PLD at first.

It really does dick all over Valor though :/ lol. The only selling point for Valor is the enmity, this provides more and gives an added +12.5 acc(DEX included) which is going to speed up your atonement spam.

Edit: oh, I'd still use Ares's for Refresh etc, I wasn't suggesting full timing this at all but it can easily replace Valor in any build /war /nin or /rdm and allow for faster Atonements which further solidifies hate.

I dont have atonement. Should have added that to my previous response. You are talking to a guy that only pulls out PLD if we need another tank at Fafnir, Ixion or Proto-Ultima.
 
I am probably mistaken, but wouldn't "supplement the items base attributes" mean that the augments would replace the base stats? So you could take the Nuevo Coselete and replace the HP+10 with ACC+10 and the Vit+5 with ATT+10, and you would have a Hauby without the -eva and -agi. No?

EDIT: Just read the website, and it says two addition stats.... so nvm.

Um...for some reason I can't seem to access the site. >.>; It's been like that since they added the site. I click the site and it shows me a black square lol. Anyone know what's happening or anyone else having this same problem? >< I wanna see new stuffs o.o
 
I was still up and bought mine this morning a little after midnight PDT. ...but not sure the order went through. Was there anything after it showed your contract/account info? I received an email with my code... but never "confirmed" anything. I guess I'll have to check later tonight.

If you bought the Mini-Expansion through PoL you know your done when you get the registration code.

Went through without a hitch.

STR DEX VIT +5, ATK+10, ACC+10 is a free haub - the -stats...

Yes, its not the greatest, but easily a piece to substitue over if you need some money from your haub.

Either way, what else can you really do besides acc and atk + for a melee?

Edit: Then again, add Double ATK+ and ATK+ and you basically have a slightly gimp Askar body too... which would be great for me since Ive never seen Askar drop on Floor 80 :/

I'm stuck choosing between BST or SMN....
Already have YYR for -BP timer and af2 doublet for -prep ...although, AF2 is situational. And YYR doesn't boost any attack.... -2 prep + dbl att/crit2% (or att+15) might be the way to go for my default gear set before running the macros.

My BST isn't high enough yet; not sure what other gear I'll obtain.

Now as far as the augement system, available onlly for body piece?

Is SE going to smarten up and let us augment all pieces of gear? Let the smart outshine the idiots kind of thing.

Even if its DEX+1 on bone subligar, it all helps for THF, etc.

This is just talking about these reward things.

We have no idea what the actual Augment system is gonna be like.
 
hmm well don't see anything that would improve my drg though a hauby set up would have been great a few years ago.
could get a minor upgrade for blm body(assuming I don't decide to upgrade first.)
could get an upgrade for pld casting/enmity macro peice (replace valor.)
could get a better thf body but only really use thf for farming.

guess SE did a good job of making decent but not game breaking gear, though again for people with lots of jobs it will probably be hard to decide on what to get.
 
I'm probably gonna custom-build this for Summoner, since like Jakey said, while a DRG Hauby would be nice, it's not really good anymore (notably since Askar and Accuracy Bonus II were released).

I'm leaning toward the avatar macc/MAB upgrade for Nether Blast and merit BPs. Might just go all out BP damage piece, macc/MAB + Att boost...

I wonder if we'll be allowed to modify the armour later on, or get more than one of these later on (like, get one of each type).
 
RNG/THF body with RATT and Sharpshot *drool*
 
So, this list is just for the 3 armors posted? not for other gears with no stats?

We don't know if the normal Augment system will use the same list or not at this point. I'm just gonna take this whole thing in the mini expansion context for now.
