The real question is.... The next one is it going to be hands, feet or legs?

DEF: 24 HP+15, "Counter"+3, VIT+4, Shield Skill +5, Magic Damage Taken -2%, Enmity +4 seems relatively neat for pld, that or more fast cast, I'm not sure yet. As a bonus I'll look like a roman centurion too lol.
This was my exact thought as well. Adding on more Fast Cast is very appealing, but Shield Skill, MD-2% and Enmity +4 is too good to pass up I think.
The best tp head is shit since you get 1 extra acc at best.
Oh and im not buying this. Fool me once shame on them. fool me a second time shame on me.
Debating haste+3% acc+10 attack+5 for drk but turban would still be best huh? Losing 2 haste would suck.
Wouldn't Ace's Helm still be better too?

I'm torn... I have Bahamut's Mask, Koenig Schaller, and Iron Ram Sallet individually, so I basically have pieces that do any one thing better, outside of Fast Cast.
I expect the final reward for the last add-on will be an accessory though.
I see it as a good alternative to cut down the time you need to get all the said gears though. If I would ding 75 tomorrow I would drool over that piece for sure lol. It will still be a nice toy to play with though. I'll be more than happy to get that extra piece to fill the blind spots not covered by the regular head pieces we use.
The whm hat (mnd+6, fast cast, cure potency, conserve mp) is just too good to pass up for anything else. That's just an amazing whm hat. Conserve MP seems to be the most useful of the three base stats as well since counter would require full-timing the hat (and it seems like it'd be much more useful as a ws hat) and subtle blow is just kinda lol in general. Assuming you mained the mage hat (which as a whm I know I would), that conserve mp would be kicking in fairly often if you have other conserve mp traits as well (/blm or /sch, magnetic earring, etc).

The ceremonial helm of the Royal Guard, distinguished by it's stately crest and likeliness of a coxcomb. It's design pays homage to the traditional head wear of the Chattif, the ancient warrior clan of legend whose members wore no other armour, trusting instead there own battle-hardened physiques. They are fabled to have stayed the advances of a Windurstain host numbering in the tens of thousands with a band scarcely one hundred(300) strong. Painstakingly recreated from a mural by the order of King Acheufagais,(sneeze) the contemporary model is forged from tempered iron rather than the original bronze.
