Hey if I preorder this game from a store or online how do I get the beta key? Is it sent via e-mail or do they give me something?

Depends if your store that you pre-ordered from still has any beta keys left. For me I pre-ordered from my Mall's Gamestop, but they were out. Luckily I have another gamestop in my area and they happened to have some left.

Man, I am telling you the way to lvl in this game is to ffxi it up.

Seriously, get a full party together and farm elites, earning more than a lvl an hour this way. Me and Respu went from 16-18 this afternoon like that and are about 70% of the way to 19.

I really enjoy doing the quests, so far they don't seem to get annoying and monstrously tedious like some of the free mmo's I've played. Plus, unlike FFXI these quests actually reward you with good exp as well as decent sums of money and useful items/equipment.

Though I won't deny fighting those elites was super quick exp, I'm not aiming to blast through the levels. I kind of want to take my time and look around. Specially in a mmo this beautiful.. well even on my pos system.

Since it's the beta I might be more opt to just blast through levels, but when the official release hits I think I'm just gonna stick to quests. The title system is pretty awesome.

Amazon emails the keys three days in advance.

Store gets you a card...online gets you an e-mail...I think you should check to see if stores still have stocks of the cards...then you can just order online and get the key mailed to you if they don't.

Can I get a screeny of these elites? I think I fought a couple...but am really not sure...

Agreed. The game is very beautiful to just breeze through. Wait til you get to the group quests that's some ace exp, gear, and gold.

Elite mobs have the title Elite before what they are ! The first set of elites you run into is outside the east gate in Altgard in the Black Claw Clan Outpost. Yay kitty people!!

Wow. It sounds like your experiences with this game are really good.
I remember Jazper nudging me once to try it out. =)

I think Chanter isn't for me anymore...we got into a group/alliance and I was main healing >_< there were like 9 players including myself and it was just a bitch to switch between each one and go back to the mob...It reminded me of when I played a mage in FFXI.

I think I'm gonna go down the spiritmaster/wizard route of things on official release...

Just finished lvl 20 Altgard mission and got a bad ass helm!

ooo btw!! I love the music in the weapon/armor shop. The music is nothing but the sounds of swords swinging and clashing together but makes this really cool beat!

Raiding the Krall Garrison - in this case Capt'n Kunt lol (Elyos version of Elites - take notice of fancy sword like health bar).. I call bullshit on their levels btw. Stated levels is what 18-20? BULLSHIT, more like 22-25. Level 18 Chanters don't stand a chance solo'n these guys. Got a nice warhammer and gloves on this raid.

Nice helmets Reya! So you're a Templar ey? You guys are f'n tough. I think I'm changing my mind about Chanter, it's a fun job, don't get me wrong, but I think I'm going to persue Glad since I'll be primarily duo'n with Genna's Cleric. In CBT3 I duo'd my Chanter with her Cleric to 20 and there were more than a few times when we needed hardcore damage which Chanters can't provide at this time (or can they ever??). Chanter would be a good partner for Sorcerers from what I've seen. Ah hell I'll just level both Glad and Chanter hehe, just thinking about putting down Chanter makes me sad.

I love playing a templar! Resputin and I duo all the time and it's great for making parties just grab a DPS or two and we roll out!

Aside from liking the party aspect of it, I really enjoy playing a tank. For me, playing a WHM for 5 years then moving to a DPS when I played WAR, I wanted to try something new! I really like it! I am so used to getting my face smashed in by everything... it's a really nice change !
