Only twice have I ever felt any effects from alcohol - right now, and once several months ago when I had some chinese rice wine(eww). But I've never been drunk, like I said, only a little buzz. oh yeah...I'd say it takes quite a fuckin lot, I had about 9 shots of a 40% alchohol and I'm only buzzed.

I just get chatty and a little brave. You might get me on the dance floor after a few lol. I'm an extremely shy person so I still won't do anything like talk to a stranger or jump in the hot tub nekkid no matter how much I've had to drink lol.

Well, I think it's acceptable when a parent feels comfortable. In Europe, and correct me if I'm wrong, there is no age limit and everyone can have a glass of wine with dinner. I'm not saying a young child, but maybe starting around 14 or 15. As far as our limit of 21, there's 50 year olds that still do stupid things after drinking lol.

I had a girlfriend that got so drunk at a party she fucked a dude and got pregnant.. and decided to keep it. Relationship terminated.

My stepdad is a borderline alcoholic and I hate him a lot. Most of my family drinks themselves silly and 90% of their time at family parties is spent drinking.

At least a third of these poll responses are drunk fucking drivers. Fuck all of you, especially the ones that put higher than a 5 under "would you drive over the legal limit".

Giving a flat age is hard to do. Some people are okay at 16. Some people shouldn't even be drinking at 21. For a law, I suppose 18 (or whatever the legal age a person becomes an adult).

Alcohol doesn't make retards, retards make retards. Just because alot of people choose to use something irresponsibly doesn't mean it's that things fault, it's the idiots behind it. Don't be angry at alcohol, be angry at the idiots.

The drinking age is at 21 now because the alcohol consumption fucks with the growth of your cerebral cortex, which, makes you dumb.

The cerebral cortex doesn't stop growing until the age of 21.

Word. People use it as an excuse - unless you have put yourself in a situation where you have drank so much that you have blacked out n a party with stangers (or people who you wouldn't trust in that situation) - then no matter *HOW* drunk you are, you know when there is a dick inside of you.

I am sorry that happened to your friend, but not everyone gets that way from social drinking. My parents battled alcohol abuse as well, which is why when I drink I am resposible about it. I will NOT end up in that situation. EVER.

I've gotta agree with this... Drink all you want, have fun, enjoy life...
...but to the people who put "Yeah, I drive drunk lots", that's just bad. Real bad.

It's really depressing to see any number of people be okay with it... ( seat belt buckle as a bottle opener, I really hope that was a joke <_<; )

i stoped drinking when i was 24. it just got boring for me so i stoped. but i did get shitfaced that last night im pertook of the drink.

but i have to say that i am also dissapointed with the number of people that willingly drive drunk. Tangs grevenses are justified IMO. its common knowledge that drinking while drunk is hugely irresponcible so a strait willingness to do it bothers me.

i have nothing against responcible drinkers. my family likes to drink when they get together and most are responcible drinkers. My GF elphaba has a bias against drinking due to her father. full blown alcholic and his actions following her mother's passing away are even more evidence of how irresponcible he is.
