Either way, you suck. Won't make any difference if he tells you or posts here.

If you are going to quit cause of this, then you must really know you suck aswell.

What the hell is this game to you, Barney and Friends?

barney4.jpg

Reminds me of Olives post where he says we are all in this together.

What the hell is this game to you? Take a crack at anyone and everyone? Level RDM to 75 and tell me anyone sucks at it. So Dia is a friend and wants to stand up for Neya. You're really taking the most appropriate angle. Where is he or she taking a shot at you? Yes yes Cody, a friend tries to stick up for a friend and their a fucking care bear or something equally childish. God forbid anyone have personal relationships or give a damn about other people, completely stupid.

Look, I'm fortunate enough to be a RDM that doesn't ever take crap for how I play, but the job is hectic. Neya is a kid, doesn't play much, and is taking on one of the most frantic jobs this game offers. Seriously guys, if I flamed every bad player I came across i'd have 5000 posts and would no longer be employed

Folks, a lot of people suck at a lot of jobs in this game, you're not going to avoid it, and it's not going to end. Everything from the dunes to DL runs there's going to be crappy players. I have no idea how good or bad a player Neya is but suffice to say she's playing a job that has plenty of room for error and, well, is making errors ..... completely flame-worthy.

Edit: I can speak ze english!

Uh. Wow. This post wins.

As a further addendum to Zero's post, anyone who expects everyone they encounter to be 1337 like them (ha!) and anyone who would pick on this young girl for something this silly... well all i've got to say is:

GTFOBB.jpg

Not everyone plays the game to be the best of the best, to have the best gear or to impress others. I generally don't give a shit what gear people are wearing, nor do I care about my "reputation" when it comes to what people have to say about me. I don't judge people based on the flameboard and I haven't met many who do. Some people play these games to be social, some to explore, some to be 1337, and some prefer PVP stuff. Not everyone takes the game as seriously as you do, FFXI is not life or death.

It is if you kill yourself over it.

And if Neya quits because of this then she obviously do care.

I don't see how her being a young girl has anything with the fact that she is horrible at her job, lol.

I don't think anyone said anything about anyone should try to be the best of the best. There's just a difference between playing RDM, and playing like a melee with too much mp.

Actually, there is little room for errors. When you are in a party and you make a error, it could cost the party exp, time, death or disbanding.

Minor error or major error, either way it does not look so good. I guarentee you if you make tons of screw ups in a party you wont be around for much longer. If she is having such a hard time playing such a difficult job as you say, then she should stop crying and go choose a different job to play.

I don't understand how you can say there is plenty of room for errors, I don't think any red mages would agree with you there. Right now you are just helping her look like a major fuck up when you say she is making plenty of errors ;)

You would think after 60 so lvl's you should be able to understand your job enough to play it well. Guess not.

Anyone who says they make no errors is just being egotistical. Shit happens.

It really depends...yeah, errors can cause things like downtime and death, but alot of the time it's an accident and people would hopefully be forgiving of that. There's a huge different between honest mistakes and flat-out neglecting their duties (which, if the person isn't refreshing and such, that's not an honest mistake)

Not to mention...while many people will yell, scream, and pitch fits about someone sucking at their job, AFKing, leeching, or even being the kind that uses L24 gear in the L50s range...virtually none of them will actually take the motion to remove them from the party. Because mudslinging is OK, but removing from parties apparently isn't.

If you would read, you might understand.

I said if you make tons of screw ups you would probally not be in the party much longer. 2nd I said I don't understand how there can be plenty of room for errors...

I to agree with you Mish, things happen and you will screw up and yes of course people will realize that, but when you say there is room for "Plenty" of errors then yes, it would hurt the party. There is a limit to how much one person could screw up in a party, the first few times around its understandable, but after a certain point, it gets rediculous.

Except that there was nothing stated about her meleeing in the original post.

You still can't read? I said it one time and I said "Minor error or major error, it still doesn't look good" I don't know how you multiply that into three different times, or how you figure "Doesn't look good" = "Shouldn't happen" but whatever lol.

I agree, but it also depends on the magnitude of error. Stuff like curing the PLD as they start to self-cure or casting Flash as the PLD does, or two jobs Stunning at once are all mistakes that're rather common if the situation demands any of those to be cast. None of them will exactly ruin the party, it's just sortof a "d'oh" thing, y'know?

Though yeah, if someone can't adjust and learn from their goof the first one or two times, that's a bigger error in itself. Some things really can't be helped though...luckily those things are most always rather minor.

Thats exactly what I'm saying. Minor mistakes aren't going to impare a party. Mistakes happen, and thats fine.

She was awful at her job, and instead of learning, she continued to level! The horrors.

Yeah, you should definatly get some more experience playing rdm if you aren't 100% perfect at it, just not. in . an . EXPERIENCE PARTY ... ?

You're a tool. Go be 1337 somewhere else.

So, must not have the ability to ask for help or advice from more experienced RMDs?
When you don't ask for help and advice and just continue to level and level, you are just gimping your party's.

I'm a total tool.

The thing about advice is, you can't learn from it until you actually apply it to experience as well. One can get a thousand lessons and won't learn a thing until they actually try it themselves, y'know?

Neya may have been bad at her job but instead of saying she'll work to get better she quit. That doesn't say much about her even trying.
