With real life aside, that understandable. But wouldn't you be upset if only 50% of your LS showed up city runs but then we get everybody and their momma for Northlands and Dreamlands?

Some people who actually come every run have/are asked to sit out due to some random people showing up once in a while for those specific runs since they only want acc or -1 or "the win".

I find that disgusting especially for someone who's dedicating a lot of time through cities, northlands and the welfare of the shell in general and hopes for a chance to enter in the only dreamland dynamis of the month just to get told by someone else: "Hey sorry, I know you worked hard but that's my first run in a while and I want my stuff so, I'm taking over your place, better luck next time buddy! /comfort". The pill can be hard to swallow for some people when it comes to that and I think it's understandable.

Thats when you adjust the rules and start cracking down. If you skip on cities, you don't lot in northlands. Or... do what some other shells do. You need 75% (or whatever) attendance in order to lot.

What it's starting to sound like right now is the typical issue of too many chiefs and not enough indians. How many leaders are there and how many of you guys were gone from the run? Whats the point in having leaders only one is making runs? What commonly happens is you have a shell holder and 3 to 4 "officers" and each one of those people do things a different way. Thats when shit gets screwed up and thats what its sounding like here. Get a #1 and get a #2. When #1 isn't there, you do what #2 says. You don't need more than 3 leaders for 30 people.

About the points, I'd say the only thing that would ultimately come about khajit skipping runs is that other people would just catch up to him faster. Point systems are put in place not just to reward those with higher attendance, but to justify the time spent in "earning" a piece of gear if you get something and then you leave.

Agree with Dino 100% here. If the rules allow for people to only attend northlands without a lotting penalty, then you can't get mad when people do exactly that. It's not Khajit's fault that your rules allow people to make it to the top and then slack/pick and choose their runs to attend. If he didn't violate a "real" rule (it's incredibly vague what rule was actually violated here other than "the shell didn't like him"), he shouldn't have gotten the boot. Also if your leaders can't be assed to update their site, you should get new leaders. If nothing else, promote someone as "recordkeeper" to do the leaders' work for them while they leech all the coins and stuff.

This is our plan Audino. Like i've said before, we have a pretty casual atmosphere and we would hope that the conscience and honesty of our members would prevail. For the most part it has, and i love my dynamis shell for this reason among others. It's unfortunate that there are a few bad apples that would go out of thier way to exploit these rules, to the point were we have to crack down and make the rules tougher.

In regards to leaders, we have 4 main leaders currently, and several sacks. the non-leader sacks are given the courtesy to have a chair in leader meetings, so we have different views. for the last few months, 3 of our four leaders have had issues in RL that has restricted our game time and allowed things to get a bit out of hand. That is being remedied with better organization of our systems and such. It is the understanding and patience of the majority of our shell that for the most part has forgiven us from falling behind.

I'm not sure what you are referring to here Trib, as to the best of my knowledge, we get in people with the best attendance. Unless you are speaking specifically about myself or the other leaders who have offered their spot to other members on several occasions so they could enter. The only time someone would got a spot over another that has better attendance is if they need the win or if the person with better attendance was late. Any people that have offered to give up their spots have done so willingly. We ask for volunteers, not specific individuals. Right now, there is only one person that would be forced to give up their spot to another, because they decided to leave early when it was stated anyone attending was expected to stay to the end. (This was a run where we had more than 36 people.)

I should also say that this is an issue that has never been brought to me. The flameboard is really not the place to bring forth something like this when none of the leaders have heard about it. You know full well that i go out of my way to address any issues or problems, and you should have given me the courtesy to bring this to my attention first so i could address it.

The attendance rules and people having sketchy attendance was addressed before our last Dynamis-Valkurm run so now it's being watched and noted who is coming to city runs on a consistent basis. The leaders still need to put in that rule about the Northlands/Dreamworld lotting rights ratio (which is being decided upon and about what is a fair level of penalization). There is already a "No-Lot List" for people that miss 3 consecutive runs without an explanation.

As far as the points are concerned on the site, I'm helping Galiant with that so that this will never happen again. The fault was not having the tier kept up to date in a timely manner but the site not being updated doesn't excuse repeated sketchy attendance (exempt members and excused absenses aside) and potentially taking advantage of the rest of the shell's hard work.

Too many different views are often more harmful than helpful. Of course you can run the shell however you see fit, this is only my opinion. With that said, from what I've seen in years on end of playing, having a shell with one leader and two people to back them up is normally what works best. If, for example, you have 30 people in your dynamis shell, 3 is an adequate number. Ten percent of your shell is "leadership." When you have 4 leaders and several sacks, having 50% of your shell included on meetings and discussions leads to trying to please too many people and also leaving the other 50% wondering why they don't have a say but the guy next to him does. It just seems like way too many people out there seriously over-complicate dynamis in trying to find the perfect, most fair system. Spoiler: there is none. Your system is as good as your members make it.

We're aware of this. I suppose it sounds like we have 15+ leaders but we really don't. The members with sacks are the people that have been in the shell for a long ass time. I'm talking 2yr long time here. They've earned the right to bring their opinion to leader meetings. In the end, it's up to the leadership what descisions are made. lolDynamis has been around for a long time, and our way of dealing with things has changed very little. I'd concider us one of the more successful dynamis shell on the server.

I apologize for my out-of-the-cracker-jack-box English and behavior that may have offended some people. I did not meant to say that it happened so far but more like it could happen eventually. I do not question leadership in any means and the matter has been taken to /tells.

This makes a bit more sense. I was rather confused because i couldn't call to mind a time when anything like this had happened. That's for the clarification Trib.

If someone is exploiting a loophole in the rules, change the rules. You can't say that you were "planning" on changing them, because they aren't put into action yet and shouldn't have an effect on anyone's lotting rights.
Is it shady business? Hell yeah it is, but unless your rule set has either a shady business warning or something along the lines of "leadership has the right to deny anyone lotting rights at any time" clause, he earned his right to lot and should not have been denied that right.

I saw this coming from a mile away. While a lot of people might not like Khajit, he IS a good guy. He's been constantly shit on by a few people in lolD, accusing him of being disrespectful, rude, and misogynistic. He's been the target of a lot of comments for the almost year I spent in that shell. The points he accumulated should have been proof enough that he had dedicated himself to the shell, and he still did continue to attend on a regular basis, lolD was never short on members until more recently with all the drama that's been brewing. To be honest, Khajit had better attendance than a select few of the leaders, some who had valid reasons, others not.

Kohra, you should really know better than to stick your nose where it doesn't belong. I've put up with your attitude for long enough. I've been nothing but nice to you but you've also directed yourself at me. And as for "voting" on removing members? What about the time you broke my pearl and kicked me off the LS website RIGHT before a run? Nothing said to me, completely uncalled for. You decided to drag business from another shell that I led, into lolD where you had power. I got repearled of course, but you're a hypocrite for saying that every member removed requires a vote. You yell at Khajit to come THF, and deny him coming on his other character, and then yell at him saying he never uses his BRD.

What's with your presence on QCDN now anyway Kohra? You've come out of the woodwork and declared yourself to be such a great representative of lolD. Those of us who were actually 'in' the shell, know you as nothing more as a mouthpiece. The one who snapped at people left and right when they didn't obey your every command. You force people to come on the jobs they hate, yet you get to come on your Almighty DRK every run, because your BLM has no gear (except for all the relic you've collected), your THF that has no buffer, or your "farming BRD." Your DRK isn't even that great, and if anyone even mentions parsing your DRK, you'll always force disconnect.

But I digress, Khajit might come off as annoying sometimes, but he's a very dedicated person and has always done his part. Kohra's trying to make himself out to be a great leader when he has never been as such. Khajit put in a lot of work into lolD and even if he did skip a run once in a while, it was more than deserved. Before you start blaming the members for shit that happens, look at the leadership, because I can assure you that lolD's leadership has gone down the toilet, as well as the loss of many core members because of unfair treatment. lolDynamis is no longer the shell that it used to be.

I sincerely hope that the bolded is not the case >.>; One thing we strived for, even with the few cases that occurred where we wanted to remove members, was to make things equitable and fair. Any voting done was left to the council, which would have to have a majority vote. Even relic and shadow gear, where there would be a clearcut obvious winner, was left to vote.
In all honesty, I may not be the most prolific role model on QCDN, but I had striven to be a very fair leader and helped run LolD during my hayday. If this is the case where LolD isn't the shell it used to be, I sincerely hope that one day it becomes a heck of a lot like what I used to see 2X per week.

As far as I knew, Lyrai was just away for a while because of the drama. That's all I know.

The only explaination i can see here lyrai is that you've had your head in the sand, or are specifically choosing not to see the things khajit has done which has upset the majority of the shell, not "a few people" as you state. Khajit has been with lolD a long time, so of course he has accumulated a lot of points. He has also accumulated a lot of "black marks" against himself for disrespecting the shell, it's members, it's policies, and exploiting a rule system for his own gain. It is one to be missing a run due to RL, it is quite another to skip a run to go farm, or to level another job while not only sitting in LS and chatting, but aggrivating, taunting and showing general disrespect to the shell and it's members. This is the very thing Khajit has done time and time again.

Kohra, you should really know better than to stick your nose where it doesn't belong. I've put up with your attitude for long enough. Where exactly am i sticking my nose where it doesn't belong Lyrai? Currently i have been taking over the duties Jescer performs in this shell. The order of leadership in this shell is as follows, according to Gladdy, the shell holder: Gladdy #1, Jescer #2, Kohra #3, Galiant #4. So, this thread IS my busy, and my duty to set the record straight. Funny, i don't see you on that leadership list. You also have not shown up to the last 5 runs? We've assumed you've left the shell. It seems that out of the two of us, it is you sticking your nose where it doesn't belong. However, this being a public forum, you're free to voice your opinions, as am i, regardless of my leadership/member status in lolD.

In regards to your removal from lolD, this was due to a communication error. While i was searching for another HDD to replace the one that went tits up in my PS2, there was a huge drama explosion that you were at the very heart of in lolWTF, the sky offshoot of lolD. It was my understanding that during that time, Gladdy booted your from BOTH his shells, but as you had logged out, had not been able to break your pearls. As a result, we tried to salvage the remnants of lolWTF by remaking the shell as lolORZ. So naturally, when i saw you in lolD, i broke your pearl, thinking that was what Gladdy had wanted. Of course nothing was said to you. When dealing with someone that has the potential to cause as much drama and issues as you have shown, you don't give that person warning that thier pearl is about to be broken so they can quickly switch shells to avoid it. Did i make a mistake? yes i did. Were you repearled? yes you were. It had nothing to do with "power". If i was power hungry, i'd be a sack in a lot more shells than just lolD. I don't crave leadership. i perform leadership duties in lolD because i agreed to and more and more responsibilities have fallen on my lap. I go out of my way to be a good leader, and yes, i consider myself one. i don't mix personal opinions with leadership descisions. There have been several things regarding descsions that i felt a need to withhold my vote on simply because i felt it would be biased.

I've never "yelled at khajit" to come any job. his alt is his brd, he only uses azamaria for glassing purposes. I don't expect anyone to use their alt in dynamis ever, period. So there wouldn't have been a time i would have "yelled at him" for not bringing brd.

I've developed an interest in qcdn. is there some rule i'm not aware of the forbids me from doing so? I'm here on the boards representing mostly myself. Obviously i'm representing lolD in this thread because it is a flame against the shell.

Sorry you see me as a "mouthpiece" but this is not at all surprising coming from you, seeing as we don't exactly share opinions.

Most people who know me, are aware that i fail at multitasking. i don't have time for typing out long eloquent sentences to appeal to sensitive souls. most of the things i type in LS during a run are quick 1-5 word commands. for example: "Sleeps" "Smns inc, sleep avatar" "pulling, everyone up" and so on. They are also usually in caps, not because i am yelling, but because i need my message noticed between that chitchatting taking place on ls at the time. Could this come accross as "snapping at people"? i don't doubt it. Is that what i'm actually doing? no. During a dynamis run, with the speed at which we pull, there isn't time to have a discussion about what needs to be done. People need to obey commands and act immediately. Failing to do so results in unnecessary deaths and/or mistakes. I'm sorry if you haven't come to this realisation yet.

When organizing parties for dynamis runs, there are key jobs we require based on the style of our shell. We rely quit heavily on blms to take care of stones, particularly in northlands. We require rdms for sleeps and refresh, and a brd or two for the blms. Do i force some people to change to the jobs we need even though they may not want to? yeah i do. Welcome to end-game. I also go out of my way to avoid pidgeon-holing people on one specific job.

Yes, i retired my blm about 8 months ago and sold all my non-rare/ex gear because i had been pidgeon-holed in every endgame event i was doing as coming blm. MY drk(which is my main) never saw the light of day outside of an endgame enviroment. Unfortunately, being pidgeon-holed into certain jobs is a product of end-game life, so i took steps which ensured that would no longer happen. You yourself have taken similar steps regarding your whm, the difference being that i actually DID retire blm and sold all my blm gear, whereas you decided to keep your gear.

I come to Dynamis as either thf to pull or drk for DD, depending on what's needed. My brd has no gear and is lvl 73. i use it for farming.

In regards to force D/Cs, i live in a city with a university and a college. The ISP options here ALL have connection issues due to volume and i can d/c at any time. Because i am on PS2 i cannot parse myself, so i am always interested when someone else is parsing. I've even requested friends if they could get a parser going so i can see how i'm doing. Of all the parses i've seen, or been told about, i'm usually up at the top positions. I think i do fairly well on my drk, and i play it because i enjoy it. Whether or not it's any good is a basis of opinion. If your opinion is that it's not very good, who am i to say otherwise?

Shells change, RL lives of players, both members and leaders often interfere with game time. People come and go. As Audino has said, there is no perfect system, and lolD will never make everyone happy. Leaders are only human after all, and we all make mistakes, myself included. Removing Khajit from the shell was deemed a necessity by the leadership based on his actions.

Kohra in all that I was with Gladdy which was alot, it surprises me that he would label off leadership other than himself and Jescer. If he actually did that and counted off leaders and their positions, that is definitely new to me. He always labeled us as Gladdy > Jescer > Sackholders. And the only time Jescer would have higher opinions than us would be when Gladdy couldn't make a run due to RL reasons. He didn't even label Rampagesama off as a higher leader until that interim decision when both Gladdy and Jescer had RL situations to tend to.

As per Aza, you may not have yelled at him for coming bard. But you used to get very upset that he wouldn't come bard on vent, the fact that he was able to lot BRD equipment when he didn't want gear for his main yet he would never come to Dynamis as his bard alt.

Seriously though, if I could have gotten away with never coming blm to dynamis I would have. I would have come PLD each and everytime. But I couldn't I would come for what was best for the shell, regardless of gear :\ (because even rampagesama will agree, my BLM was less than adequately geared lolberet)

I have nothing to do with this really, but how do you "suddenly" d/c every time you hear about a parse pretty much? You did the same when we merited that time.
