Apathy cheated when they killed PW?

ah.. well.. if something is actively trying to kill you wouldn't it be a tad hard to log hate? Maybe if it was casting quake or something?(not counting a force DC as the main logout method)
 
I was usually a BLM amongst 5-6 BLM playing ping pong, so no, not really lol. It was usually after a MB.
 
It is only cheating if SE says so. So until then this dude needs to get off his high horse and either find another way to kill PW or quit causing drama over nothing.

It also prevents you from getting hit/killed during all of the time you are logged out, which is equally important when you're high up the enmity chain.
 
I don't think its really cheating, but I mean...it kind of is a lame strat to use.

Its one thing to log hate for a fight to make things easier, its another thing to have everyone logging hate at a specific time and it being an integral part of the strategy.

Would of preferred this thing stayed un-killed and SE eventually wises up and gets rid of the stupid ass time limit. I dunno, this strat just doesn't sit well with me. Wouldn't call it cheating though.

Yeah, it's no more cheating than Kiting is.
 
I think the planners of this fight should be given gold stars or something. They used everything at their disposal that was legal in game. I don't think very many players even thought of logging hate.

On a side note~ if the move is used at a set %, would it be possible to stun all the avatars to stop the move? I have never fought PW, but maybe someone else has tried.

It's mentioned in the thread on BG that they're working on refining the strategy so AF only hits 1 person, without anyone needing to log. Apart from anything else doing that would speed up the fight at least considering they were only just able to kill it within the time limit last time.

I assume they've had no more successful kills yet, but that shell has been very shady about sharing info in the past so who knows.

Yes, but the blogger seem to think logging itself wipes hate.

Their point of logging isn't to clear hate, it is to avoid astral flow.

Odd, after the first kill they said they were putting all there efforts into PW, mythic upgraders were pissed because they had to wait for the pop items.
 
That's what I'm told and they could always still do tier 4's at the least. Sinus and Papy both nearly done with Burtgangs but yeah I'll ask later
 
As much as I don't think it's an issue, I do think it's pretty lame that in order to defeat something, people actually have to leave the game.

Linkshells have used the log hate strategy often. Tiamat, for example, would see linkshells having their BLMs log hate quite often during the early stages of tiamat kills. Not cheating.
 
People seem to be missing the point, they logged to avoid the astral flow that had raped every alliance that got to the final form before. They logged for a small period of time so that only a handful of people would get hit, "logging hate" is irrelevant.

I know it doesn't make alot of difference to the discussion, because either way it's not "cheating" but it's been bugging me.
