"Shut the fuck up" shows complete disrespect towards a person, and often invites a defense. There are many ways to get the same idea off without this. I would never tell my friends to "shut the fuck up", neither a professor, parents, co-worker, or anyone unless I wanted to know they had zero respect or value in my eyes. If you can't figure out a nicer way to get your idea across then you're just being an asshole. Many of the people I know wouldn't take a "Shut the fuck up" without offense, most would be inclined to defend themselves verbally (or worse depending on situation). To me that phrase is a perfect example of a flame bait.

If you can't see this, and view your words from other people's eyes (who many not necessarily of grown up in the same culture/town/setting as you), then you have lost a certain sense of civility.

And you honestly believe Hellstorm has value in my eyes, much less other peoples, around here? Fact is, I didn't say it to just anyone. I said it to someone who has been repeating some tired bullshit, of which many people are sick of reading, in several posts in the last couple of days.

Gatttsu wasn't the first person to say Hellstorms posts should be considered flamebait in general. Others have said so as well.

Yes, I realize this sounds very hypocritical, but theres a very large difference between reading a thread thats about complaining, then PC+1 complaining about too much complaining - and reading a thread about a specific topic, and reading something that just happens to be in it that you end up disliking.

It doesn't really matter who it's aimed towards, you're an idiot for making a PC+1 post about too much complaining going on in a complaint thread. How about you just post some moronic cat pictures. The end result is the same.

Both types of post, by the way, should result in some form of discipline. Atleast flames have substance.
 
I'm not saying people don't have problems here, but it just ended up going in circles and ending up no where. I read the entire thread, but seriously, its come to the point where they are just beating a dead horse trying to get it to move. No matter how much they argue, neither one is going to see the other persons point of view. They don't have to agree, they can agree to disagree, but they just kept rehashing the same old shit over and over again.

In the end, this thread accomplishes nothing. At the end of the day, Arc will still be a Mod., and certain people will continue to dislike him. This is merely a long winded source of drama.

The fact that you dislike me because of a pointless post in an "Off-Topic" section of the forums is a bit odd. Since, in my memory, I have never directly spoken to you in game, nor on the forums. Maybe in the Crafting Forums, but that's about it.

But in any case, that's off the topic of this thread. Flame on.
 
There's something just inherently wrong about a moderator of a site talking about how people shouldn't care about the site so much.

maybe im out of touch with the flameboard times but isnt there where people start posting pointless pictures that just pc+1 and then the thread dies?
