When did you get it?

Hm... I was around level 62 at the time, 3rd highest NA behind Vampi & Dibson (if you remember them). They were already upper 60s, almost 70s. I got the game around November 3rd... It was before I joined an HNM shell in March. I remember telling my old JP Social Shell that I got it and then 1 member got jealous and camped him for a month straight. So I would say about late January or early February. Most of the NAs around this time were in their 40s or lower. I wore it for about 2 days and then put it on the AH for 5 mill.

You may have gotten it before then, but I guess I was the first to sell one for the NA side. Many JPs sent me congratulatory /tells, especially those I partied with only once. I guess they check the price constantly or something.

And yeh, telling his spawn time is kinda pointless...all it'll tell you is the first 12 hours he won't spawn...and even then he may not pop for another 20. If it'll cheer anyone up, he spawned at about 3:42MT three days ago. =P

We all started in october, Vampi was pointed out a couple of times at lan parties from the rest of the group that go tthe game. That guy was a maniac! Got the game at the end of October and before Thanksgiving he was 70... Man that freaked us out. You could log on any time of the day or night and he would be on. Think he's bazzaring at 6:00am on a wednesday when I wake up to go to work and check my Auction house sales.. Nope... he's still playing.. Come home after work.. Still on...

Anyways.. I had a feeling that you, Faluzure had gotten it early because you mentioned that you sold it for 5,000,000g, and it hasn't been that price for a while. Good Job.

Yeah... Vampi is crazy. I'm not sure whether he's someone that lives with his parents or some rich guy who won the lottery. It is absolutely insane that he was able to play that much. You are right, everytime I saw him, he was leveling up. He's playign SMN religiously now and although I haven't seen him play, I've heard he wasn't that good by several people all over.

My playtimes are limited because I work 40+ hours a week, thus I play at night and go to bed around 1 AM. If he is indeed a student, he has to be flunking or he's one of those "easy" majors. He left for a long period of time, but he came back. I do know for a fact that almost nobody liked him at that time. I only talked to him once in my life and it was when he asked me about Dynamis.

As for the Peacock Charm, that was luck. Extreme absolute luck that I got it first drop on first attempt. I do not have the heart to ever do that again. If you say "good job" to me, then I must kneel down before you, you've actually successfully gotten him 6 times with four drops. You sir, are king. At the time it was being sold, the prices were about 4.8 mill. I rose it to 5 mill. I just checked recently and saw it going for 7 mill. That's nuts. You should be uberstacked in equipment. I do hope though, that you've saved a bit of it, because costs of equipment at later levels get insane.

I got all my equipment to 75 with 2 exceptions: Strider Boots, and Thief Knife. I am also the only person on our server that had the lucky as hell chance to get a PAIR or Adroit Rings (lvl 72 HQ +5 Dex)

I think it's probably easier to make 6 mil gil for the drop than to camp him. At least you'll know eventually you'll get your peacock charm. You could spend months camping that NM and never get him, much less getting the drop.

Vampi....hes on my LS sometimes. He was lvl 29 smn when my drk was 50....last i checked he was 52 smn when my drk was 54 :shock: I lvl slowly...but still...goddamn he lvls a lot :lol:

He spawned on: October 24th @ approx. 3:50 PM (Pacific Time)

He also apparently spawned yesterday night (Nov.4), around 5am (PDT).

Considering I personally put in an insane amount of time into tracking the bastard, I would be really pissed if some lazy player got a free ride by just asking for the spawn time.

Scwall and I have been playing this game for 5 months, since late May.

We camped him for about 10 hours total, spanned through a Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.

Thank you Rinas. For letting me know that Argus hadn't popped for 36 hours and was due for a spawn.

They told me this right as Scwall and I were ready to pack our bags. Argus popped less than 1 hour after this.
