My point was really, you should try to distinguish the individuals from the LS and the context from the action. If I were to judge the entire shell, past/present/future, from one incident, I would only be fooling myself.

Just don't make the same mistake with letting the target go yellow and realize that's a risk you're taking if you're doing it with pets.

Its not that simple and having people lecture me and others about how to fight things all bst and smn without ever having experience doing it just need to check themselves. People just don't get that in an all bst and smn setup with a full alliance people have still had their tiamats stolen at 3% because the hate system with jobs that use pets is flawed. I mean hell a PUP can cast bio3 on a mob, deactivate and the mob won't even attack them which is beneficial to a degree for them but thats just how uniquely different the hate system with pets is from normal setups.

This seriously is among the height of Douchebaggery I've seen in awhile. And over freaking despot. Hell, not even in the "glory" days of Ulli would many LSs try to screw over a legit shell. I mean it's... Despot. Why steal it? It pops fairly frequently, and isn't hard to kill. That's almost being an ass just for the sake of being an ass.

And can we somehow differentiate between SE (Square Enix) and SE (SereneEternity)? Like just call one The Douchebags? Doesn't really matter which one is which, seems to apply in both cases. XD

I regret that happening to and fault was squarely on one parties shoulders although it was probably instigated by us and afterwards the legitimacy of what happened wasn't clear. We've grown up alot as a shell since our first week where we didn't even know entirely what we were about and what we wanted to do.

The reason we/some of our members bring the shell into it is the way that the leadership handled the situation. I don't mind grouping the shell mainly because CST and BE have always been not very good LS's in my book. Yet, the OP was directed mainly at Ariesol and Hellstorm then the leadership and those who participated.

Letting the mob go yellow could only be viewed as a mistake if you think we should have kited it around poles which really is hard to say since I proposed that is how you stopped it. The hate system with BST has certain inevibilities involved unless you bring up PLDs or NINs which isn't what our shell is about unless it is absolutely necessary to kill a mob like Faust. So its a RISK we are willing to take, but we still do not condone that people exploit inadequacies in SE's hate management when it pertains to pet jobs in order to steal an NM we are in full capabilities of killing. I mean you can argue with this but really what if people pull a train of spiders on top of Fafhogg to spin it, would you say that is exploiting an inadequacie in the game or that you should have not made that mistake..?

They can also go Red>Purple. Back before the claim adjustment, a friend of mine stole Amemet from RMT.

Amemet had 1% or less and one shot from a dagger killed it.

Honestly, there are a bunch of good people in SE. I don't really know all of the newer members that well, but most of the people I know from back when Ane was in it were good, honest players. Apparently something has changed.

...Seriously. The thing is, some members in Serene Eternity had intentions to steal it. From a Legit LS. That's something too low. If you can't claim your own Despot and have to steal it from other Legit LS's, what the hell are you doing in sky!

I was there. Fonz casted Dia on it, then I did, a few others sent their pets to attack, they were on Despot. I was summoning Levi then Despot went purple and I couldn't attack.. then I saw members of SE pulling it back, and killing it. Honcho tried talking to them and none of them answered. I remember someone by the name Rampagesama or whatever... saying something like: "cry more". It went from Red to Purple... never saw it went yellow. =\

I rarely post in Flameboard, but this was too much.

Only the job changes not the people, if your people gear whore as normal jobs, they will do so as BSTs. It just protects you from this, even if you have a full time tank that would keep the mob red for you, with an RDM and WHM.

but going all BST against an NM isnt a problem. sure it may be easier to just go as other jobs. but the purpose of TheFlock is to do things as an all bst or smn group. as far as my understanding of the shell goes at least. im sure they are fully awhere of the pet/hate realtaionship they have to face.

but that isnt the issue here. what SE did was low. they, im certain, also knew of that glitch and choose to exploit it. cause they didnt get the actual claim. if the LS went down and couldnt kill the NM and SE took it then thats a whole different story. and was not the case. there is no justification to what they did.

if the pimps were fighting an HNM with multiple jobs, as you sugjest TheFlock does, and by some fluke it went yellow and another LS stole it. you would have every right to be upset. as does TheFlock has every right to be upset.

It was a couple of individuals that really seemed to be the cause of what happened, and I happen to blame those individuals more than as the action of a shell. The OP might have targeted those two people in particular, but it's pretty obvious by the sentiment of the rest of the thread that this is a flame on the entire shell.

Unfortunately, one is against ToS and the other isn't. I'm not saying to condone people "exploiting" flaws, but I think you realize too that if there is a flaw with the system, the only practical thing you can do about it is work around it until its fixed if you want to get anything done. There will always be people who spam on claimed targets regardless, and there'll be shells that random for claim after a wipe too. You can't expect everyone to do things similarly as you do, and there's no common consensus for what to do with NMs in sky or if they're different from ground HNM or what not. Perhaps you could have had these expectations some years ago when shells would go out of their way not to step on each others toes in terms of farming time, but I think it's overstepping your personal bounds to expect certain actions from certain shells presently.

Appreciate it when another shell plays nicely with yours, but brush it off your shoulders if they don't. That's sorta how lot of end game is now on Quetz.
