This just makes me bummed because it's another reminder of how messed up end-game stuff can get and how easily some people's high ground shifts when it's convenient for them. All we hear is RMT blah blah blah, those bastards, those scumbags for doing underhanded things like this and then a "legit shell" does something like this to another shell and there are actually people defending them? It's beyond hypocritical. It's pathetic.

Hellstorm hasn't posted I'm betting because there is nothing to say. Nothing can be said to justify this or somehow make it less disgusting. And Hellstorm isn't the only one who should be accountable. As a leader of a shell, you have a responsibility to conduct yourself in a respectable way and see that the members of your shell follow suit. If you encouraged or condoned the taking of a mob from another legit shell when they were not in danger of wiping, you did something shitty to good people and actual players. These are legitimate players you screwed over. They beat you to claim so you tried to jack them of something rather than do the honorable thing and try again another time.

And for all the people saying, "All you people need to stfu this has nothing to do with you," you're flat out wrong. Because if they were sleazy enough to do it to one shell, they'd do it to any shell if given the opportunity. This debacle affects everyone in sky because now instead of just watching your back against RMT we all now have to look out for the backstabbing of...and unfortunately you now have to use the term loosely..."legitimate shells."

Whoever the leaders are with any sense in SE should give The Flock back what was rightfully theirs and try to salvage whatever decent reputation they may have had. If they don't, then no one needs to respond. Your actions speak louder than words.

I am responding to these post in order of post then I will tell you what happen. I'm sure it be derail from something about grammar or how stupid I am, but I will post for those who care to learn of the situation.

From what I've heard, they did everything in their power to steal and keep claim on Despot...suffice to say, I'm not at all impressed.

However, the likes of Hellstorm also isn't the representative, let alone a real leader, of SE. A pearlsack may designate a leader but it doesn't magically give leadership abilities - that being said, he most definitely is NOT a leader.

From what I've been told, their real leaders haven't been on recently and they're more or less pulling this bullsh-!t behind their back. I'm assuming this crap won't float once Meghan* and (Lengel, I believe?) get back, but I dunno.

Actually I am a full leader as well as Lengel and Meghan and Ariesol.

TheFonz did make a GM call. He got the run around. TheFonz question the GM about how could we lose claim on a mob we were currently attacking. The GM told him to go to playonline or another FFXI guide website to read up on how the hate system works. Fonz said that he had and there were no reasons or explanations on how something like this could happen. The GM said well I can't answer that question, have a nice day.

GM wont do anything because we did nothing wrong. There good reason they tell you to go to ffxi guide site (will explain more later)

I am not going give you a stone that is not rightfully yours, and even more so after you harass me and fellow ls mates demanding (not asking) demanding the stone. you call that respect?

Like we said we had many pets on despot, there should not have been a reason why it went white. I don't even know if someone did a pet swap, I was kinda grasping at straws to come up with some sort of explaination as to why they could get a voke in.

As far as our shell is concerned I feel good about it. I do not believe there is anything of this nature that has ever taken place. We have got claims from when a group has lost control and wiped, and the same has happened to us. We have never bitched when we have lost control and someone else took it down.

In our defense of us trying to show respect for other shells. There was once a LS that lost control and called for help on Kirin. When the members had finally all logged or wiped Kirin went white. A couple of our members had already died from Kirin when she running around while orange. When she went white we did take claim, which she was at 95%. There was no way they could have re-grouped with most of their members dead, weakend, or logging back in to get a handle on things. We had to take claim or many more of our members would have died. We killed Kirin and gave them the drops. So I feel good for the way we have handled ourselves.

They did not do everything to try keep hate, because all you had was 3 pets on it (2 carbuncle and 1 crab). You had no bst, no smn, no magic on it. You lost claim when your pets died and we claimed plain and simple. There was no conspiracy to "steal" your despot. Again we did not spam provoke, did not cure, did not invincible.

Respect.

That's the key word here. We respect everyone, and anyone that's not done us wrong. And i know that everyone respects us, for several reasons, one of which we do everything legit and are always trying to help others. As Mana stated, we brought down a CFH Kirin and returned the drops. Another reason is because we're very layed back due to the fact we don't use the whole cookie cutter approach to FFxi, and it works for us. And people seem to sympathize with that.

Because of that we've gotten aid from other people, LS's, and even RMT as Honcho has stated. They "stole" despot when Honch was soloing it, and, even though they're RMT, decided to give back the stone, which was the higher road to take. Last week we claimed despot and while killing with all our pets and pink boids, we were cheered on by most of the people there. We get /tells of enouragement all the time, wishing us luck.

I'm proud of that. I'm proud of the respect my members have with other people and vice versa.

Now, SE, what do you have in terms of respect?
Stealing a mob that was claimed? Telling your members to stfu? Having your own members saying it was claimed, by us, and just taking the dirty path?
That's respect for ya.

So, it's safe to say i lost all of my respect to the linkshell known as Serene Eternity. Weather that will count as anything, or if any of you will care, we're yet to see...

and the Fuck YoU from your DaFonz is respect? The harassing in tells as soon as despot was dead is respect? FYI Alastor was a leader of serene he lost his sack due to disrespect to fellow ls mates and improper use of his sack.

I dont think the Jins play anymore. Not Jingod at least. Someone else (specifically, someone reputable) has his account now.

The Jins quit over a year ago. Mario gain control of both accounts after they left and soon deactivated jingod. He later gave Jingod to Imadude, but still controlled of Jinshorty. Last month Mario took a break from the game and so the Jin toons are no more. Just to clear that up.

It may be a bit belated, but I just wanted to add this for the people who are arguing that the Flock should have taken extra measures to prevent Despot coming unclaimed:

I've had my xp mobs come unclaimed on me mid-Rampage with Dia up, just because my pet died. Tell me what "extra measures" should be taken to avoid that.

It's bullshit, plain and simple. BST is massively disadvantaged in fighting any NM that takes more than one pet due to this bug. Maybe you think it's fine to exploit that disadvantage; and if you go by the "letter of the law" so to speak you'd be justified. But it also speaks worlds of your character, so don't be surprised to have people going all Code of Hammurabi on your ass.

Problem was was they took no measure to keeping claim not 1 dia not 1 person hitting the mob.

you have to realize though Honch... Meghan isnt the leader, she is the treasurerer or some shit... Talking to her would be as good as talking to Ariesol or hellstorm lmao. Lengel... the guy who said he didnt give a fuck about giving you back the stone, is the leader... GL w/ that.

Meghan is a true leader, she is secound in command when lengel away, and is one of Three in charge of sky me and Ariesol being the other two. Also fwi actions was taking towards Keichii, those actions however do not concern you.

Now that I responded to those post I will now tell you what had happen. As Nycon had previously stated we was fighting a doll when Honcho claimed it with charm. They then pulled it to the archway in between The two dolls guarding the front entrance and the despot alleyway. They did not engage despot with anything but three pets Carbuncle, Carbuncle, and Courier Carrie. No Dia , no player contact. They lost claim when there pets died and are pld claimed when it went yellow. Now honcho would like to play we are bst we should have special rules, that there is a reason the mob went yellow, but you did nothing to prevent this action from happening either. Further more if you would have been civil about it may be we could of worked something out, but Honcho and there member that was present, instead decided to demand the stone and reticule my linkshell. So even if you had any right to the stone, you are assured that there is no way we will give it.

Now I can go back in these boards and find 30 to 40 different thread about how a mob come unclaimed and another ls claims and you all have said it yellow claim that fellow, but because I'm a leader of this ls it automatic become stealing? This entire thread has not been nothing even about the stone, and all about me. Really I'm flattered you spend this much effort to flame me, but the issue is the stone not me. They did nothing to prevent the mobs going yellow when pets died. They made mistake just like a melee disengaging to open the door at Sozu Rogberry, and losing claim and then someone claims it. Just like we made a mistake at fafnir when we wiped because we did not have blockaid up and the jp shell cured us and flailed us.

So that what happen and this is the only post I will be posting on this topic because I'm not not going feed the vulture (jackals). Only reason I post here was to tell my linkshells side. My condolences to the flock for losing claim and I'm still amazed at the thing you accomplish, and I'm sorry these events have broken are relations. Hope things can be resolved better next time.
