Batallia Downs

Keyword: Try. The mom'p'pop shops will never ever be able to afford the rent to be able to park next to any of the high end stores.

Read my post again. I said mom'n'pop bazaars. The mall analogy doesn't really work all that well for me, since nobody's being charged for prime spots in Batallia Downs. My point is that anyone who wants to set up a bazaar there can do it. It just strikes me as silly to get aggravated that an area known for bazaars should be loaded with them.

Just because it's filled with lots of bazaars doesn't meant its a good place to bazaar. People that look through Batallia Downs expect expensive items, non-auctionable items, pop items, and other various hard to sell items. They don't go their looking for cheap abundant items that can be readily found anywhere. Why would I spend a silver piece and several minutes travel time when I can easily run to the AH for the same thing? Saves me tax money? I'll spend the extra nickle and save myself 5 minutes.

There is also (again) the issue of need. The people looking through bazaars aren't looking for those items. The people in Guilds are. You sell where the demand is the best and it's not there. You want to sell your items, fine. I can understand that and you're totally within your right to do it, but if you're looking for more people in desire of your items so that you will actually sell them, then go to where the demand for those items would be the best. Just because a bunch of random people check your bazaar more there, doesn't mean you're more likely to sell.

I'm not telling you what to do, but if someone tells you the arctic is a bad place to sell ice, do you respond "It's my choice and I'll do what I want" or heed their advice because there is logic behind it?

Except that Batallia Downs isn't a bad place to bazaar things, especially if you have a large variety of items that aren't suited for one specific guild.

I only get irritated when someone tries to define what should be sold where, when there's no reason their mandate about how stuff "ought to be" carries any more authority than someone's simple desire to go where the bazaars are. The original post is a "cry me a river" complaint that window shopping is taking longer than he'd like.

And I'm the one that can't let things go...right.

PS: I actually said if you weren't camping it you shouldn't be there. And I was right then, and still I'm right now.

my appologies, and it wasn't meant to throw a barb at you, i was trying to make a correlation.

and in response to Jojojo, I can stand in whatever area i want. It isn't wrong nor is it against ToS that i can watch idiots like Koenig try to steal Fafnir from JDA.

Just because you are there for claim doesn't give you any more right to stand there. Don't like a bunch of non claimers standing there? GM them, and watch the GM go Q.Q

Meh, before I had 2 Jeuno mules if I was bazaaring something semi-big, I'd throw the rest of the crap I didn't have room for on AH up as well. If you're already bazaaring you might as well. =P In regards to people that only bazaar the cheap stuff, just move along if you don't like what they're selling. I don't do it, but I don't begrudge anyone who does.
agree with this have no more room on ah go to the downs. If a crafter nd crafted more then 10 go to the downs.

Your local nitpicker has fixed the topic title.

On-topic, while I'm not that die-hard about it, I do agree with the OP in principle. Bazaars should only be for stuff that for one or another reason you can't sell on the AH. I can understand doing it for normal AH-able items if your AH slots are full - I've been known to do it on occasion with unstackable food for example.

Point being, bazaars should really *not* be for random worthless crap you get that nobody wants any more than you do. Just NPC or toss it already, and spare yourself the electric bill of leaving a character around bazaaring something that any sensible person knows won't sell.
Well I know there was the big thing to try to fool people to by insect wing or scorpion claws to make them think they was the emp pin and v claw. Then there always the motto; one man junk, is another man treasure. As jyak has already stated.

And I secound Ajs is one the most useless bazaars out there.

Correction Ais is name of the hume bazaar that sells 30k currency and wears a swim suit in February.

The plural of child isn't childs, its children. You may want to change your sig to spell like the big boys.

Oh, and this hasn't been posted in in a week dipshit.

Wrong Ren?

Also respect +10 points to anyone who knows what children-safe SRPG that is. =P

On topic, it would seem that it's in fact child(ren) or child(er), though the latter is an archaic use of the word and isn't even listed in the dictionary anymore.

And I've personally not seen any prices going up by any noticeable amount with the exception of Khroma Ore, which has gone up by nearly 100k in just a week. Not quite sure if someone found a secret towards getting Salvage Body pieces to drop more or if a lot of people coincidentally finished at once, but it's pretty awkward to see considering how many ore sell daily as it is.

They dynamis currency thing would've been a great thing to hear a few months ago. Now it's kinda meh for me, although I can probably get rid of these five bynes that have been plaguing me for half a year.
