BOL was just an example and one of the more well known ls for doing that in addition to the fact that Meeze is always on patrol to inform the masses of past transgresions.
 
Meeze needs a better public relations person. If you want to grab the news cycle, Friday afternoon is the worst time. That's when you release news you want people to miss. Monday morning is the time to drop bombshells and really dominate the coverage.

Or maybe I'm thinking of Paris Hilton. Meh. Never mind.

No... It wouldn't. I said "you shouldn't". I'm talking about all the idiots continually derailing threads and peole doing bannable offenses from here on out.

I used to enjoy coming here to read threads and learning things, but now I have to try and sift through all the BS to get anything out of threads. Very few threads stay on topic anymore and now the followers bring up f'n arby's talk or other restuarant talk in every thread. You wanna talk about a f'n place to eat go to the "Lounge" or the RL area. It's not that f'n hard.

Yeah, it was a stupid thread to begin with but let the SOB die. It was about DC'ing and Antor made a single comment about "DC'ing for Arbys" and then the thread went on for 3+ pages talking about food and restaurants. The shit should have been locked. If threads get derailed for more than 5-10 posts I think they should be locked. The mods can't police and delete all the off topic posts but they can sure as hell just lock the bitch and if someone wants to still discuss the topic then they can start a new thread.

Same shit everyday gets old.

That would be the ideal way to do it. For anything really. New post in Flameboard, link to the thread or quote the post in question.

It's probably tough for mods to keep track of someone's posts who gets involved in other people's shit as much as Jyakotsu does. They can't be everywhere like he is.

How the fuck are at pictures 10x more annoying and worth perma ban over people talking shit about chicken/bacon, fried food of every variety and flirting over and over and over in no contructive way repeatedly by the same people or a large group how is that better?
I stop reading flameboard topics unless i'm ridiculously bored when certain ceople even enter the discussion or just go skip to the last page incase it got rerailed.
Little jokes here and there are fine but when a topic is 30 pages long and 5 of them are even relevant something is wrong.

Exactly the mods can't police every topic. No harm came from the food discussion if anything some people found a new place to get good food at. I will agree that the food derail should have been contained to the list of those who DC thread. We'll leave that topic there.

As for what I said earlier about Double Jeopardy if it happens to Meeze it can happen to any of us. IF the mods wanted to start handing out bans for any baiting then they should have done it at the time not days, weeks, months, or years later. So yes it is like you're being tried for the same crime.

I know it was mentioned in one thread, only one to my knowledge, and that was because it was several pages of derails dedicated to Caturday. Which would likely fall under the "spamming" topic which is one area we're discussing penalties for.

...and generally, if we know about the problem, we'll do something about it. I have no idea what this Arby's discussion is about. I've never seen the thread, and it doesn't look like anyone reported it either.

If there's a problem, report it. Tell someone. Sitting back and waiting for divine intervention is not going to produce a response. Some things are very easy for us to track and moderate (such as new users/posts). Some things are not (such as derails in the middle of a thread we haven't read).

Agreed. It's fucking annoying having to waste time reading shit that isn't related to the topic=\

Also, if somebody calls one of them out (ex. Shyrra) for threadcrapping/derailing etc they get banned.
