That's what she's fucking trying to do you retard. She is looknig for someone to love. Love isn't just set to the other sex. Every hear the saying "Love is blind" just because someone is gay doesn't mean the feelings they share for their partner isn't love and no one can say other wise.

Ok? What does that have to do with anything, I wasnt saying Im Catholic therefore I am right. I said the only reason Im Catholic is because I went to a Catholic elementary school. Good job, next time read all the posts before sticking your face into something you don't understand.

I can bash gays if I want, and I did, but I didn't tell anyone if they could be in love with them or not. For the part where I said "Fuck you gays" I did apologize, not because I was asked to, but because some of you idiots don't understand what the hell I'm talking about. I'm not even going to bother with you, read my god damn posts and maybe you will understand.

Gay is wrong = biblical fact is only true if you obey the Old Testament... and never mind that the anti-homosexual statement(s) in the Old Testament are sandwiched in between a shitload of other bullshit that even the most devout Catholics and Baptists (most bible-adherent sect by far) turn a blind eye to.

It'd be like look at this list-

"Don't drive on Sundays"
"Don't eat meat on Mondays"
"Never masturbate"
"Women on their period are unclean"
"Don't be gay"
"Cut off the hands of a known thief"
"Adulturers must be stoned to death"


and saying "WTF man don't be gay!" despite driving to work Sunday afternoon, coming home to a steak dinner Monday night, rubbing one out while your girlfriend is at work or out of town, having sex with your girl while she's on her cycle (omfg women are so responsive during that time), and allowing thieves/adulturers nothing more than jail time / community service.

That is, in effect, what the "gay = bad cause bible says so" argument is doing.

I know that, I brought it up because someone brought up religion again for no reason. I know Religion is the basis of the "gay is bad" opinion, but there are things that tie into that. Why can't you reproduce with 2 men? Why can't you reproduce with 2 woman? If everyone was gay, should you just open up a shop where they take your sperm and give it to the woman so the world can continue? Its like that for a reason, gays will always be the minority.

This is a slippery slope argument. And phails.

Homosexuality becoming generally accepted would NOT suddely cause everyone to take same-sex partners, cancelling the ability to reproduce.

Likewise, loving someone / wanting to spend your life with someone is NOT a result of the desire to procreate!

Gay people will always be the minority because not a lot of people are gay, not because of some silly biological sippery slope...

I'm really not 100% what verses talk about homosexual relationships being wrong, but I do know that people only chose to read certain parts of the text and forget that there are other messages throughout. If I remember correctly, the bible teaches to be accepting and respectful of others. Its not for you to judge a person, because if you are a believer of God then it is up to HIM.

All in all, as with other comments that are made to others for other reasons... If the person who is making the comments has no importance to you (isn't a friend, a family member etc) then don't waste your breath trying to justify yourself, you don't owe it to them. If they are a "nobody" to you, then their opinion should also be as unimportant.

I wanted to get that outta the way first, because most of what I have to say comes back to it.

First off: Any one of you assclowns still running around talking about how wrong this or that lifestyle is need to take a look at your own hearts; your own beliefs. That was all Old Testament stuff, and the only true reason that the vast preponderance of the Old Testament was included in the Bible was for one simple reason: to provide context to Jesus and His message. What was that message you might ask?

Love one another as you love yourselves.
Be good to one another.
Stop judging one another.
Oh, and by the way - the Old Testament law is fulfilled; no more need to worry about it.
Believe this, believe in me, and you'll live forever by my side.

There it is in a nutshell.

So quite frankly, anyone who tries to base an argument off of Old Testament writings is already WAY off-base. To do so is effectively denying the very sacrifice that Jesus came to make.

Now true, the Apostle Paul writes a lot of stuff in his letters about "acceptable" behavior, but let me be totally honest with you - I think that Paul was a little too "old school" to wrap his mind around all of Jesus's message and put it into practice. Paul was the guy that was the Jewish ex-Christian-hunter that was converted due to having a religious experience on the road to Damascus, and for all he did to help keep the church going in that time, I really don't think he ever let go of a lot of his old Judaic beliefs. Anything at all in the New Testament that has anything whatsoever to say about sexual orientation, gluttony(read alcohol/drugs/overindulgence), or form of dress all comes from the writings of Paul, and, at least in my estimation, should be viewed as nothing more than mere editorial.

Jesus never talked about it; not even once. If it wasn't important enough for Him to address, why should we be troubling ourSELVEs with it?
