Multi-Plat Borderlands

In our area(Richmond Hill), the future shops/best buys/walmarts were all sold out...so I'm guessing people could get them for $40
If you're still looking for it, most places in Scarborough still have the game because no one was selling it for $40. Maybe stores in Scarborough (and a few in downtown Toronto) are just cheap.
Check Scarborough Town Centre's Wal-Mart. They didn't even receive the game yesterday, but they may have today.

I played from level 1-25 with Jereme in co-op yesterday and it was a blast.
Split screen? LAN? Online?
I'll be trying out the split screen on Friday. Most likely I'll be trying out the LAN/Online when I'm finished mid-terms and all of my friends buy their copies.
I'm worried that Splitscreen will be difficult to work with, despite the large screen. It would just feel claustrophobic.

There's online and split screen though I've heard from reviews that the split screen the menus don't exactly fit but it's alright.

I can't wait to check out my local walmart and see if it's 40 bucks. That's about as much as I have and if it's there for that I'm getting it :P

Yeah, the co-op is beast. If you're playin' solo the game is pretty simple (though I have only played solo up to Lv. 10). I've been playin' with two other people (so a party of 3) and I tell you this shit is hard and unforgiving -at times-. Since we've finished dealin' in the Skag heavy areas and the Mine Shaft it has calmed down a bit, but high ranking Skags, in mass, are not easy costumers. Dealing with Sledge and his instance after all this was child's-play though.

I'd say the difficulty of our situation lies more with our class line-up but I'm not sure if that'd be true considering we're all pretty well versed in FPS games. However, being a Siren and running with two Hunters who aren't specing with regen is quite tryin' in itself. Another shitty thing about runnin' with two Hunters is every damn red chest we open is full of sniper rifles.

I find the difficulty a blessing though. If this game was easy it wouldn't be so great and would make for a lot of boring co-op sessions. Gettin' ownd and knowin' you can get ownd makes it a bit more interesting in my book.

I think it's cool that they are fans of Diablo and using some features of it
/on point... can't wait to get this game

Hopefully i'll have this tomorrow. I'm excited to play it. I'm totally gonna be the giant guy, Brick(?), or the soldier.

Man playing as the sniper is pretty rough, I think im just tackling things i shouldnt at lvl 13. Great game though

What weapons are you using mainly and what skills did you put your points in? Im lvl 14 now i think and have 2 skill trees going, 5 pts in shield % and 5 in +crit hits. I have no idea how good the elemental effect is so I didnt bother putting points in that skill tree yet...

Tell ya this, Mothrakk was a challange to solo at level 23. Hardest fight I've had yet.

I still cant beat mothrakk lol. Also for new players, rumor has it that sirens phasestrike is glitched ATM so you might want to hold off on using her... wish i knew that before I started playing her ><, if you do play her, don't make a melee build like I tried too ><

Got it today, and loving it. So much better than I thought it would be.

Revolvers because they own and make me feel like I'm playin' some Goldeneye shit. However, I pretty much take anything that has a high elemental property on it. I hate SMGs though, well haven't really gotten even a decent one yet I should say. I usually carry around a shotgun for midgets and skags too. So my current load out is a Shock Revolver, Corrosive Revolver, and the Rape Over/Under Shotgun from Sledge. Both revolvers have extremely high damage and the corrosive has a scope so I use it for sniping and the other to take down shields and use from mid-range. Transfusion grenades are also your best friend in the sticky.

It is my opinion that elemental effect is rape and the rate at which Lilith can produce them is even more rape. So yeah, it's some good stuff.

This is the build I'm goin' down.

I went down the Controller tree first to keep my ass alive, kind of important. I then went down the Elemental Tree, still workin' on it actually, and next I'll focus on the Assassin tree.

I chose this build for a variety of reasons. One, melee? Go fly a kite, I got guns, lots of guns. Second, I think gettin' the cooldown of Phasewalk to 13 seconds is fine, it doesn't need to be any shorter. At 13 seconds you can CC everything and do your job without hinges. As Lilith you already proc weapons more often than not but spark is a must, imo. Elemental damage is just friggin' brutal, make it all it can be. As for the Assassin tree, the crit is a given as to why I picked it as is High Velocity. Enforcer I picked because it just seemed the more beneficial of the other options. I typically do not like the "on kill" (solo players will more-so though) talents but hell, it has good possibilities.

You might wonder why I didn't choose to regen health in Phasewalk. Reason is, is that shields later on will have health regen and if you find yourself in a -good- group you'll have a form of regen. If not, you can use med-packs. I'd rather, at that point, be more powerful than defensive since I can just use med-packs. I think that skill is a convenient skill but just takes to much away offensively in a case where their is another means to produce the same effect. I hope you can get that as it's hard to explain.

I find her bottom skills to be lacking. I can already daze every 13 seconds (AoE) and with guns (single target). I can just equip a fire type weapon to produce Phoenix and Phase Strike is for those who can't aim a gun or find a good one. You could argue it is good for bossing but then I'd argue, "so is my rocket launcher."

I'm more of the type of player who likes to be well rounded than gung-ho at one thing. I think this build highlights all of her useful attributes and strengths. I'd suggest if you want to be a melee power-house to play Brick, you'll die as Lilith more often than not tryin' to always be in the melee fray.

Well most of the GTA is sold out, for $40 promo that is.. and if I can save $30 I'll wait the couple days ; ;

Still kinda shitty but meh

Looks like a fun game, it's too bad my xbox red ringed this morning...

Gotta say being a sniper isn't as cool as I thought it would be. I thought it would belike FO3, where I could sneak into an encampment and snipe them all one by one, which is not the case, soon as you shoot one, everyone is aware of you even if they don't see you.
so now my sniper is using a shotgun most of the time lol

Yea, that would be one of my few complaints. That and they seem to have incredible accuracy, even when youre barely peeking around a corner, you will get a flying axe to the eye from 700 yards away. The driving too, it could be better.

How easy of a target you are depends on your level, remember, it's an RPG ;)

i must say, im lovin this.
i tore my room apart lastnight to fit in a bookshelf, i took a break to rest awhile because i still have tons of cleaning to do...popped in this game and played till it was time to go to sleep. I still havent finished my room haha!

For those looking for the challenge... After you complete the game you are able to free roam the world. When you load up the game the next time there will be an option for second play through... Let me be the first to tell you this second play through is brutal. I finished my first game at level 36. Joined Jereme today in a new game with the second playthrough option and the enemies at the start of the game were adjusted according to our level. Its so hard...
