Multi-Plat Borderlands

that's a pretty big error O.o even if rare lol. I hope they can fix it soon.

Well finished the game via joining in on a friend for the last few missions. Don't know if I'll play it again. The game is interesting but I guess i don't really like loot whore games. I prefer having an "ultimate" equipment set that requires a lot of effort, but you can do it and have the best, as opposed to this weird setup where you're constantly switching your gear out every hour or less even. It's not really my thing, but I can understand for a lot of people it's heaven.

im still heavily questing, about to hit 30 and still am not the least bit bored with it! The game is just too much fun and i love having tons of places to find items.
as for fire saying switching guns happens to often, early on it did, but once i hit around 20 i didnt find many better weapons till many levels later, hell i used to elephant gun for almost 10 levels and it still raped in damage, i just recently upgraded everything and found my first alien gun.

Well, how it come about is also something interesting. In fact, if I had say at Gearbox it would be last on my list to look into because of this. Someone made a "How to dup items" thread and it wasn't deleted for a good two or three days. So that gave time for some conversation to flow. In that time a lot of people tried duping and got ownd by loosing everything they had, even skill points. So it's pretty much a save glitch that came up while people tried to dup items. Reason why I caution people is because you never really know the true catalyst for these things so better to be safe than sorry. For all I know it could have been a well timed chance.

Seeing as I'm not a Diablo fan, at all, I can understand that. You don't seem to be much of a shooter fan either so that goes double. I will say this though, if you replaced items that often you got extremely lucky. In playthrough one I scrubbed it, using what I could because I could. Playthrough two, while not that much more difficult solo or with one more (just seems mobs got a major health boost up to 2 players), is requiring a little more effort out of me to find better stuff as I level up to keep from burning so many bullets. When you hit 50 the entire game rebalanced again and so does the loot. I can't imagine people having ALL the best items for their character yet. Most of these people with a bank full of oranges get them from solo chest runs in a town or dungeon without killing mobs. I highly doubt the best loot in the game can be found that way, hence why no orange class mods, shields, and grenade mods have been found out of all the people who do let their finds known on the net. It also seems that level 50 with 3-4 players can just get down right mean (watched a live stream level 50 Nine Toes run, it got nasty, real nasty), which I'm lookin' forward to but if you're no difficulty/loot whore I'd agree the game just isn't for you. It's probably not worth much more than a rental if you're not a loot grinder or big shooter fan.

Hell, I personally find roaming each normal zone, from Fyrestone to the Commons, killing and looting chest to be a blast. Maybe I'm just simple minded, but this game took hold on me, hard, and wont let go. Having not liked Diablo it surprises me but having played as many bad/sub-par games that I have on these new systems, something like this is a blessing.

I friggin' loved my Whitey's Elephant Gun. My partners hated it, but I fuckin' found so much joy out of a scope-less sniper. It's just pure beast as a quick scope weapon. I really hope to find another type of rifle like it down the road. The one I got on my second playthrough was purple and had almost 1000 damage on it, I hit the roof.

I've read that after the re-balance of the game at 50 and after you complete the second playthrough all of the bosses then have a chance to drop their quest reward loot and in higher tiers. An orange Whitey's would seriously make my day.

Finally got to play it the other day. Super fun, but split-screen co-op is awful.

Personally, I prefer horizontal, but that really didn't bother me as much as the inventory screen did. It is so shitty that you have to move the screen around to be able to see everything. Also, the game seems to lag for a sec whenever you open your inventory menu.

Online co-op is great. I haven't played a full game yet (4 people) but I'm hoping to try one sometime soon.

Overall, though, this game is great. I don't know what it is, but it is unbelievably fun to play.

I'm still not sure what I should play it on. I could get it for PC cause there are more people through Steam I know I could play with but I wonder if it's better for a console kinda game hmmz

I can only see playing on PC making this game too easy. It's already not that difficult to hit things without mouse aim. If plugging off headshots or hitting weak points was even less difficult, I can't imagine the game being that much fun.

Hmm, it does seem like it was made more with the console in mind than PC but just not as many I know/play with on my PS3 :P (it'd be the same with 360 actually) yet far more I know on computer. Isn't the fun mostly from co-op anyways?

Yeah, most of the fun (and challenge) comes from playing co-op.
I got it for PS3 simply because a lot of people I know got it for PS3. Just get the version all the people you know got.

well I finally bought it :3 it's a great game and fun as well as funny as hell. I don't know if it's Game of the Year cause I haven't played all the worthwhile ones yet (Uncharted 2, all of Brutal Legends, etc) or the ones coming out (Assassin's Creed 2, Modern Warfare 2, etc).

I think most people who feel Borderlands is goty just mean as of yet. It is by far the most fun i have had in a game all year. Maybe even including last year. That is making it my goty so far.

I am hoping AC2 will be my goty by years end. It would have delivered if thats the case!

Played this for the first time today, visited a friend and he wanted to show it to me. So we played it splitscreen on his 360. I think we played it for about 9 hours straight lol. Such a great multiplayer game.

got this the yesterday, sniper rifle + exsplosion shotx3 = teh best

the quick scoping tactic i use in battlefeild carries over in the game great.

Finished the campaign last night.

Spoiler:
Is that it? The ending, I mean. All that bullshit and we don't even get to go into the vault? And is there really only one alien gun? Does the second playthrough change anything?

Ok, after thinking about it all morning (and avoiding everything at work), this is what I've come up with:

Spoiler:
-Tannis is the "angel"
-The Vault on Pandora is actually a prison.
-Dahl and Hyperion discovered this, and that's why they pulled their teams out of the planet. Tannis stayed, and eventually figured it out for herself, which is why she (the angel) was guiding you to the vault.

I don't know if that's right or not, but it's all I've got. Great game, story-aside.

That's what I've pieced together.

i *think* there is 4 differant types of eridian weaponry, differant varients but...the cannon shot, the shotgun type thunder shot, the heat seeking balls and some other one i cant remember.

ive got a decent collection of lv48 yellow/orange/darkorange weapons i cant dupe/trade to people if they want.

im looking to find one of chimera weapons, lv 48 no element good dmg terrible madador, a lv 48 pistilant defiler, very good versions of the cold colbalt sniper rifle, and the spread x5 shot sniper rifle (cant think of the name)

i just got this game the other day and i love it. a first person rpg is just what the doctor ordered.

sorry for necro, i didnt want to make a new thread. how many people still play this game?

I play it every now and then. Are you on PC or 360? I just completed my first playthrough and i decided to get both DLC's for it since i liked the story so much.

GT is SAARZ if you want someone to play with.

What.. you forgot it's also on the PS3 too Make, sheesh.

I have the PS3 version myself but not playing it till I've at least beaten Dragon Age once. ...Gonna be a while in other words.

Touche' salesman. I suppose i actually only care if he has it on the 360 anyways.

I've got this on PS3, got all the DLC for it so far. Oh! Speaking of which, possible raise of the level cap coming with the next bit of DLC.
