Here, I'll explain it to you, as if you were a small child. Hopefully, this will end the dumb debate, but it may just bounce off your head.
Let's use some imaginary numbers here for the purpose of making this easy to compute.
Pretend there's 500,000 people on PSN and 1,000,000 on XBL.
Pretend that they both have a ratio of 50% assholes.
That would mean that PSN has 250,000 assholes and XBL has 500,000 assholes.
Are you with me still? Am I going too fast for you?
Now both games have COD4, let's say a 8 on 8 match is going on on XBL and PSN.
If there's 250,000 assholes on PSN, and 500,000 players, that means of 16 people, 8 will be assholes.
If there's 500,000 assholes on XBL, and 1,000,000 players, then of 16 people, 8 will be assholes.
The beauty of the equation here is... you don't need to know how large the population is. All you need to do is know the ratio of assholes in a population, and then you can assume if you pull a random sample of that population out, it will have THE SAME RATIO.
That goes if there are a billion people or if there's 16 people, you're going to arrive at the same ratio. Furthermore, if you're playing THE SAME GAME, you're going to get the same subset of each population. As in, if people who buy games like COD4 tend to be bigger assholes than people who buy games like Enchanted Arms, then the same asshole affect will be on XBL and PSN. Once we know that... we come to the conclusion that the only variable left IS the ratio itself. Population is not an independant variable, unless you believe that ass the population hits certain points, assholes suddenly stop buying the system or suddenly start buying the system. I don't know asshole buying tendencies and the affect that install base has on it, I only know that you know a hell of a lot less than me on this subject based upon your earlier pseudoscience.
Does this mean that XBL has a bigger ratio of assholes? I don't know, but based on QCDN, I'd say... yes!
